  Our second trip to New Mexico and back to our favorite casita and our favorite hosts/friends. We feel so welcome there and plan to make it an annual vacation spot. The casita is very special, with its cozy kitchen-totally stocked, large livingroom/dining room- with the wonderful New Mexican art, and the very large bedroom with its own sitting area. The patio is the perfect place to relax and the new patio renos by Marty are great. All the cactus in the back yard really make you realize you are a long way from Canada. Marty and Jill were kind enough to invite us to see their fabulous yard and home, so thanks for that girls. There are so many day road trips that we went on, including Lincoln (Billy the Kid country), Santa Fe Canyon Rd art galleries, Bandelier Nat Mon, Puye Cliff Dwellings, Acoma Pueblo Sky Country and The Turquoise Trail, to name a few. The scenery around Albuquerque is breathtaking, with all the colors of rock, so a drive in the country is a must - it certainly is a land of enchantment. As we look out the window at 7 feet of snow still in our yard, we wish we were back enjoying that great New Mexico sunshine and the company of our new friends Marty and Jill.

  The Casita was just what we wanted for our visit to Albuquerque. The VRBO listing and photos are accurate The place is clean and well maintained and we really enjoyed the decor. Our hosts were wonderful and very helpful. They gave us some great tips on restaurants and on shopping (the local Mercado was very interesting). I would highly recommend this Casita to my friends and family.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this adorable and inviting casita. And, our hosts, Jill and Marty, were most gracious, attentive and exceptionally generous during our Christmas holiday visit! From the very well-stocked kitchen (including cooking spices), beautifully appointed furniture and artwork, the uber-cozy kiva fireplace, down to the super serene and tranquil landscaped patio area -- where the windchimes and rooster crowing serenaded us every morning while we sat sipping coffee and soaking up the beautiful view -- we found it difficult to tear ourselves away from the casita to venture out and tour Albuquerque! One week at the casita was not enough for us so we'll definitely be back and highly recommend it for anyone seeking some true rest, relaxation, privacy (vs. a hotel) and great hospitality!! :-) Andi & Angel M.   Jill and Marty have a little gem here in the center of ABQ culture. We stayed for 5 days and were rewarded with a great place to stretch out and enjoy NM. Also for those day trips abroad, the interstate is not far. The Casita is great for those with little ones. The couch folds out and there is a jungle gym and toys. Thanks so much to Jill and Marty for letting us stay!!

  PERFECT is the right word for this beautiful casita! Bill and I felt comfortable about vacationing in this casita after speaking with Jill by phone, but we had no idea how beautiful it would turn out to be. After being on the road for 3 weeks it was heavenly to spend 3 nights in such lovely surroundings. Jill and Marty made us feel right at home, and gave us many useful suggestions for our stay. We did not get to see a lot of Albuquerque because we had come primarily to attend the Balloon Fiesta, and it took up most of our time. We did get to attend the Greek Festival on Friday night and that was enjoyable. We did not get to visit much with Jill and Marty, but we hope to get back another year, and you can bet we will be staying with them again. Bill and Judy Mullins Fortson ,GA

  I have stayed at several VRBO property's in my travels, but never have I found one as comfortable as this little casita. The kindness, and warmth of the property owners has warmed my heart . Their unintrusive demeanor made my stay at this undescribably beautiful little New Mexican casita unforgetable. I went seeking solace and found exactly what I needed. The beautiful intricate design and flavor of the casita will take several stays to absorb in their entirety. The grounds were immaculate, and so lovingly designed, the pool was great, and we slept better there than we have in years!!!! AWESOME! Thanks Jill and Marty!!

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  My husband, myself, and our 4 year old granddaughter stayed for 2 nights on a trip to an anniversary dinner for my in-laws. It was more than we expected with such wonderful decor and spacious layout of the Casita! The patio out back was our favorite area, although the entire grounds and pool were so private and cozy.. all was emaculately groomed and just the warmest nicest place! Then of course the owners (Jill & Marty) made the entire stay complete with their warmth and charm. We have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals, but this one takes precedence on our first choices of places to stay! We cant wait to go back! Its one of most favorite memories - so relaxing and just perfect!

  Never spent much time in the South Valley when I lived in Abq, so this was a first. As noted by previous reviews, the casita is perfect: comfortable, clean, bright, and relaxing! The location is ideal and was an easy commute to the UNM campus where I had work meetings. I loved the proximity as well to the Rio Grande/Bosque (walking, running, biking trail). But the most special part of our stay was making new friends; the owners are spectacular, kind, and all around wonderful people! Highly recommend this place!

  Perfect in every sense of the word, from the wonderful New Mexican decor to the cozy feeling of home. The casita is very spacious, with so much attention to detail and every possible dish and appliance you could wish for. The private deck was so relaxing after a long day of sightseeing, with the rooster crowing, doves cooing and in the distance the church bells ringing. The gas barbecue was perfect for cooking up that outdoor meal. The location made it so easy to get on I 25 or I 40, so was very quick to get around. Being "hot rod" people, we especially loved the closeness to Central Ave (Route 66) where we found many old Diners and Historic buildings. New Mexico is certainly the Land of Enchantment, with so much to see and do, it will take us several trips to see it all. Now to the hosts, who will always be our friends. They have so much interesting information about the area- where to eat and things to see, so we tried to take in as much as our week would allow. Our evenings on the patio, visiting with the hosts were wonderful times. They are so interested in making sure you have a super time. One special time was when we took a day trip to the White Sands National Monument and were late getting back. Our lights had been turned on for us and we were greeted with "Welcome Home, how was your day and what all did you see?" We really felt like family. The casita and hosts far exceded our expectations and we can't wait to go back.
