Casa Selva y Sol translates to Jungle Sun. A quick 80 yard descent walking under the old growth jungle canopy gets you 4 blocks from the beach and just 8 minutes to the Plaza. The gated & private road secures this Casa which is accessible by car or foot. The neighboring homes value over $1 million dollars simply because of the views, floor plans and their exquisite finishes. This property is the happy medium, offering 4 levels of living space and an additional level that includes a jungle fire pit and hammock with a jungle feel. The furniture throughout the home is handmade Parota wood complimented with local art, stainless appliances, Palapa kitchen, Serta mattresses and 450 count Egyptian towels & sheets.
Massive views of the Pacific Ocean, surf break, town and dreamy sunsets combined with a 4 story floor plan allows guests separation, 3 patios, and living spaces attached to each bedroom.
Going up from the jungle hammock and fire pit brings you to the pool & patio along with the 1st bedroom & its bathroom. The queen size bed offers a view of the Pacific just past the pool; when you awake the ocean can be seen from under the covers. The sitting area also offers a sleeping area for a guest or child with its sofa and chair. The bathroom has a travertine shower, handmade copper sink and Italian Carrera Marble counter.
On top of the garden level is the street level with the master bedroom, master bathroom covered master patio sitting area. The hand-carved head board for the king size bed almost distracts you from the ocean view through the accordion window. Without moving in bed you can see the Pacific Ocean through the old growth jungle. The low ceiling in the master bedroom offers a cozy and quaint sleeping area while the master bathroom is spacious and royal. The granite flooring, Italian Carrera Marble counter, double hand-pounded copper sinks and double-headed shower with a pebble floor, invites a couple to live on vacation like a king & queen.
Above the master floor is the kitchen offering a covered and open-air dining room with antique lighting, Parota dining table for 6 and a bar top for 2. The kitchen is equipped with all Frigidaire appliances, utensils, blender, coffee maker, pots, pans and the kitchen sink has garbage disposal with its own view of the Pacific Ocean. The entire kitchen area is covered with an 18 foot Palapa roof which has super unique lighting and ambiance at night for cooking and entertaining.
Walking up from the kitchen to the top floor patio brings you to one of the most private and detailed views of Sayulita’s coast line. Just steps away from the coffee maker or blender, makes this the patio perfect for morning java or an evening cocktail.

About the owner: We are Jeff and Theresa; our daughter is Rachel. Here are a few words to describe us: travellers, foodies, sports, and family. We are travellers by nature and luckily our work in Calgary, Alberta allows us to enjoy a fair amount of it. Though it has been great experiencing all that the world has to offer we are thrilled to be setting up some roots in Sayulita. We love great tasting food, and I love cooking. Luckily this is a great combination. We get to enjoy it daily.

We fell in love with Sayulita; It is a one of a kind place! It has such an eclectic mix of personalities, and yet somehow it all meshes into a wonderful experience. This is felt at the beach, the stores, the restaurants, and even the walking through the neighborhoods. The beach goes on for miles and is great for walking. The waves are big enough to keep you entertained at all ages. The stores are made up of a variety of artisans that are great at their crafts. We are never disappointed in the one of a kind pieces that we can find here. The restaurants have great ambiance and food! We have found some of the best Mexican flavors here, and still have the ability to have Western fare when desired. There is enough here to keep us busy, yet somehow always stay relaxed.

The value of this property is in the atmosphere.
It has a great location; close enough to walk to the beach and plaza, yet far enough to enjoy the privacy, as well as the peace and quiet this house offers. It is high enough in the hills that from any level you can enjoy the fantastic views as well as the cooling ocean breezes.
We are on a gated road with protected old growth palm trees as our neighbours.
The open air design of the house offers great outdoor living and yet a feeling of privacy when desired. A truly wonderful feeling.
