We just had a guys weekend in Seattle with 10 of us staying at Alki Beach, and it was the absolute perfect house for it! The kitchen was beautiful and the pictures don't even do the place justice. Great location and great house!

Better than advertized

The house is exceptional. The floors and woodwork are especially fine. It has a gas fireplace insert. The kitchen has a wine cooler. The 3bd rental bathroom includes both a jacuzzi and a large shower with two opposing shower heads. The house is in the first block from the beach and within very easy walking distance of good restaurants (including a surprsing number with gluten menus). The owner was engaging and responsive and very easy to work with.

10 of us thoroughly enjoyed this gorgeous home. Most of the weekend we stayed in and made meals, but when we did want to go out for lunch we were just 2 blocks from a nice selection of food/drink. We found this place to be an absolutely great value, in an awesome location.

We loved our time at this beautiful property!!! The house exceded our expectations so much! There was so much room and the kitchen was so large and spacious. Our favorite part was the large tv areas and the wonderful bikes that we rode daily. Parking behind the house made everything so easy. Excellent location!

I was very happy that I picked this location and rental. It was the perfect place for our group of 10. We rented both lower and upper units. Found out that we needed downstairs unit for full sized fridge downstairs with two smaller fridge + wine fridge up in very spacious and modern kitchen. Huge bathrooms with jetted tub and separate dual head shower upstairs. The house is about one block away from the beach. We were on time to experience the annual Seattle Seafair Pirate event and the traffic and parking congestion that goes along with it. We were very grateful for the off street parking. The kids loved having access to the beach cruisers so we didn't have the added expense of renting. The basketball hoop in the back was a definite plus. The two "wing" upstairs beds had the beds up against the eaves, so the person sleeping next to the window and under the eaves always hit the eaves when they had to turn in bed. Other than that, the home is very comfortable, clean and updated. Owner responded promptly to questions. Would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you!

Great location in Alki

Just one block from the center of Alki Beach, this house is in a great location. Plenty of room for a family of 3-4. Fully equipped and very large kitchen. There are 5 beach bikes to use, which we took advantage of by riding to Alki Point Lighthouse as well as along Alki Beach. Just a short drive to downtown Seattle and very easy to get to the airport. We really enjoy staying in Alki Beach and hope to return to this house soon. Thank you for making our Seattle trip another great experience!

Great Home in Unique Beach Area

This home was better than described and the owners were very easy to work with. The home is close to downtown Seattle (short water taxi ride). The beach areas is great for walking, bike riding or running and people watching. You can rent kayaks or paddle boards nearby. There are several good local restaurants within walking distance. The home is comfortable and well equipped with private parking. The kitchen is roomy and made cooking in a breeze. The main bed was very comfortable for me. There is lots of storage and even bikes are provided. The only nit-pick is that the freezer is small and not the best for keeping things frozen.

My stay at this Alki rental house was amazing. I needed nothing and was surprised to walk in and see the amazing facility. It is way undersold in the description. The owners are very flexible and extremely nice. They also stay out of our hair. Overall, the stay was incredible. It is conveniently located near the beach, restaurants, and easy access to a grocery store. It is also really simple to get downtown. I will definitley use this rental in the future. Absolutely NO complaints!

This beach house was great for our all-female family reunion - we had 2 grandmas, 4 daughters, and 2 granddaughters stay at the house - we had plenty of beds and two full bathrooms to share. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and pots and pans and we were able to cook several meals (thus saving money) and the beach was just down the street - perfect for our grandchildren!

We really enjoyed the place. Size was perfect for us ... and the photos were true to the site. I would definitely recommend to other people, and will see if it's available next time we come to town. We all enjoyed its location. Even though we never met the listing agent, our correspondence was more than cordial. Directions were clear and simple. Some aspects of the house seemed a bit worse for wear, namely the wood floors and doors.

Great House, Great Location

This was a great property for our family of 5. The kids loved the bedrooms and the master has a small view of the Olympic Mtns. The house was clean, perfect size, beds were comfortable and the bathroom was really nice. The kitchen is great and we enjoyed a home-cooked meal with everything purchased at Pike Place Market. The house is next to the kids playground and Alki beach; when we weren't sightseeing we enjoyed all the amenities right near by. It was also great to have our own parking spot. We would definitely recommend this house to friends and family and would rent it again if/when we ever come back to Seattle.

Great location for our family to start the New Year

We chose this house for its closeness to the Alki area and were not disappointed! Delightful coffee shops and excellent restaurants were in easy walking distance. The kitchen was stunning and the outside fountains and the many glass accents were just darling, enchanting our grandchildren. We had a great stay and would certainly love to come back but we are offering a few suggestions here in hopes that this wonderful house can be improved for others. There were a few simple things that we wished had been provided to avoid so many runs to the market. These included one or two bars of soap, ice cube trays, adequate dish washing detergent (only one tablet provided for a three day stay) a roll of paper towels so visitors can clean up any spills immediately. Also the lighting was an issue for us-- as there was only one reading lamp in the house and the 45 watt light bulb in that lamp was burned out. The photos provided us with this image of the lovely jacuzzi tub and hoped that we would be able to use it to bathe our 5 month old grand daughter during our stay--but we could never get enough hot water to fill it. Maybe visitors need some hints about ways to ensure an adequate hot water supply? Thanks for sharing the house with us. And Happy 2012!

My family enjoyed a wonderful Christmas celebration together in this perfect home. We thoroughly enjoyed cooking on the Viking range and oven. Our Christmas dinner was perfect. The property was clean, well-maintained, and the owner was very helpful with the few questions we had while we were there. The jacuzzi tub was awesome! The location, a block from the beach was perfect. We had such a wonderful time sightseeing, walking on the beach, and just visiting with our family! I would definitely recommend this home to my friends! Thank you for providing us with a very special family Christmas in Seattle!

This rental was all we needed and more. A beautiful home within walking distance of eateries and coffee shops. Close to water taxi. Very clean and comfortable place to stay. Having a parking space and washer/dryer was a nice bonus. We will definitely rent this house whenever we visit Seattle.

Great vacation rental!

My family stayed in Julie Ann's rental for three days, and we had a great time! Lovely home so close to the beach it's ridiculous. Also very close to a park, which was great for our three year-old daughter. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we highly recommend it for families. One note is that there are some glass objects in the living room. I recommend putting those out of the way if you've got kids. We had a great time and if you've never been to Alki Beach and are looking for a great family getaway, this is the house for you. Thanks Julie Ann!

charming house - great location

This was a cozy house for my family of 6 (2 kids, 4 adults). There is only one bathroom, it is nice and big with a step-in shower and big bathtub. The master bedroom was ok size, however the other 2 rooms are quite small. The location is wonderful, just 1/2 a block to a great chowder restaurant Dukes. We also enjoyed using the bikes for a ride along the beach pathway. Having a parking spot was a bonus as well.

The house was perfect for our stay in Seattle to visit our daughter and son-in-law. All the amenities we could want and then some. Less than a blocks walk led us to coffee in the morning and dinners at night, not to mention the beach itself. The two person Jacuzzi tub was wonderful and the large master suite and bed was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked and lovely. Everything about our stay here was truly perfect! Great location. Loved it and will definitely be back next time for a replay. The house was great, very clean and accommodating. We had 6 ladies with the one bathroom, but it was large enough that more than one could get ready at the same time. We will be back, would recomend this home to anyone looking to stay in the seattle area. Loaction is easy in and out, and has parking off street.

My nephew and I were very pleased with our stay here. He said better than staying at a hotel. Excellent area to site and visit with each other. The pictures are just exactly what you get. This home is awesome! The pictures are just exactly what you get, but what we didn't expect, is what an ideal location this home is in. The proximity to the water, Alki Beach and restaurants is outstanding. West Seattle is just such fun. Very easy drive into downtown, yet much to explore close to "home".

We booked this for 6 professional women on a girls getaway. The kitchen was amazing. Beautiful granite throughout home. Only one bathroom with one sink, but it had a very large walkin double head shower and two person jacuzzi tub. ( we didn't use) but would be very nice for a couple. Great walk to the beach. Owners very accomodating. Very cozy.

The place is exactly as the advertisement states. It is a luxurious place and enjoyed the gourmet kitchen and the jacuzzi tub. Prrobably the best location you can have in West Seattle. Had a great anniversary and time with my wife. Very impressed!

What a beautiful and comfy home! We enjoyed the gourmet kitchen very much. With both Pike's Street and Metropolitan Market nearby, who wouldn't want to cook in such a great kitchen. We would recommend this to both family and friends for a stay in the Seattle area. We found the nearby parks and trails great for exercising our dogs. Classic and Comfortable

The home is very beautiful and in a perfect location. Great restaurants, bars, coffee, and other little shops are less than a block away which front beautiful Alki beach; downtown Seattle is also a very short commute away. The cozy living room and spa like bathroom were perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring the local sights and sounds. The owners were very accommodating and hospitable, and we look forward to staying here again.

Beautiful Design, Great Location

Our family loves Alki! With deep family roots in the community, we were thrilled to find this gem of a property to rent when returning for a family reunion. The owners were gracious and welcoming. For those who love glass art or water features, they will surely enjoy staying in this home. The owners have added many lovely details that add charm and interest. The kitchen and bathroom pamper guests. We loved the two-head shower and jacuzzi tub. The kitchen was simply beautiful! We quickly felt at home. Alki beach, with all its many attractions, is located a short distance away. South of the home, families will enjoy the neighborhood park. Parking behind the home was helpful since typical Alki streets are narrow and crowded. We really enjoyed our stay in this clean, lovely home! We hope to return for a longer visit next year, and would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative.
