Ski-in, ski-out trailhead just two blocks away: ski in to the Breckenridge Peak 9 Area and out from Peak 10. Miles of trails for cross-country skiing, hiking and mountain biking start at the same trailhead. Million-dollar neighborhood. Spacious, three bedroom, very comfortable. Pets possible. No smoking.
Not your usual rental unit: this is my mountain ski house that I love to go to with my friends and family. It's the only one I own. I'm not a corporation or a rental unit manager. I'm happy to share it with people who also enjoy skiing, hiking, mountain biking and the Colorado Rocky Mountains for a few weeks a year when I'm not likely to be there.
Skiing in is easy, 5 minutes down from the trailhead, to the Beaver Run lift. Skiing out from Peak 10 is almost all downhill, with a short boot climb 10 feet up to the trailhead on the road. It takes 10 to 15 minutes. It might be a challenge for little kids, but my son had no problem on skis when he was 9.
Main floor has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen and one with a double bed. Upstairs has a bedroom and a loft area. The bedroom has a bunk bed witha queen below and a single above. The loft has a queen futon.
I prefer rentals for a week at a time during Winter Break and the month of March. Most week days and rare weekends will be available January and February. I don't do long-term rentals, though several consecutive weeks might be available outside of ski season.
