Why the Owner Chose Private Homes, Historical Downtown

As an artist, I felt fortunate to have such a wonderful downtown lifestyle in the midst of the history and new cultural offerings in Santa Fe. Renovating an adobe structure into a magical guesthouse opened the door to inviting kindred-travelers to experience this extraordinary "City Different" along with us appreciative residents.

The Unique Benefits at this House

A retreat from the world yet a fun walk a couple of blocks through our architecturally interesting neighborhood into town. Great for jumping on a bicycle or as a jumping off spot for daytrips to the explore tha magnificent New Mexico landscape. Easy to cook at home or spontaneously head to any number of terrific nearby restaurants and cafes for delicious New Mexican cuisine. Staying cozy in the softly-lit casita, listening to the quiet during siesta or at bedtime. Leaving the car behind when going to a museum, shopping, a meeting at the Convention Center or a performance!

Great Santa Fe experience!

We loved the comfortable and arty feel about this Casita. It had everything we needed. The location is central to the square and was perfect for walking to many of our destinations; museums, shops and great restaurants. We enjoyed the walking! Victoria was the ultimate off-site hostess and gave us lots of local lore about this charming downtown neighborhood. We will definitely try to stay here again on our next visit. Thanks, Victoria and Cal! It was wonderful to meet you both! Amy and Alan

Sheryl and I want to thank you for the extra effort you made to make our SantaFe trip memorable. The visit to the jazz club to hear Cal play was one of thehighlights of our trip. The casita was perfect for two people and was within easy walking distance to the square We have already recommended the BiscochitoHoliday Casita to one of our friends as a great place from which to enjoySanta Fe.

We were proud to be the first guests in Cal & Victoria's Biscochito House for 4 nights this past week. Victoria had gone to great lengths to describe these properties and she did a wonderful job. The care that was taken to make us feel at home and welcome was so very much appreciated and rare in this fast paced world. This home is charming, comfortable and impeccably clean. Our daughter joined us for 2 nights of our stay and the 2 bedroom setup worked great. We were able to come back from our shopping and touring to relax in the sunny private garden patio for a couple of hours each afternoon before taking the short walk to The Plaza for dinner and music. (Take their recommendations to heart, you won't be disappointed) The location is the best, with ample parking. You won't find nicer people to do business with. We highly recommend this property!

Cured of the vacation bed blues at the BiscochitoIf ever there was a princess who always feels the pea..it would have to be me!So.. what a quivering plightas I approached my new bedthat first night..would it bruise like a stone..smother like a pillow..or just old and saggy in the middle?but, when I laid upon the comfy Bisco bed...amazed ..I felt no pea!could this miracle actually be?in a flash, I left my question..and my quiveras into sweet sleep I was deliveredoh, such a blessing it was, you see...for I stayed not one weeknot even two.. but three.

Our stay at Biscochito was splendid. My partner and I were to be in Santa Fe to attend a wedding. Prior to our departure I was fortunate to be referred to Victoria and Cal, the wonderful proprietors. Not only were they accommodating in general matters such as where to eat, what to see etc. they also, in a moment of inspired creativity, provided us with an original work of art for our friends as a wedding gift. And our friends loved it! The Casita is cozy, inviting and very, very comfortable. It is within walking distance to the plaza and while I love Santa Fe, my favorite moment was attending Cal’s gig at a winery, close to Albuquerque. It happened to be my birthday and it was about as perfect as birthdays get. I have recommended Biscochito to my siblings as the place to stay when in Santa Fe. My partner and I are especially fortunate, as we have made some new friends in Cal and Victoria.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Biscochito Casita. Our 10yr wedding anniversary took us to Santa Fe and we needed to find a clean, modern, thoughtfully designed, private spot, close-in, walkable, etc. We also love to cook so a kitchenette was a huge plus. The casita met and exceeded all of our criteria! Victoria and Cal made us feel at home; striking a nice balance between giving us privacy but, at the same time, inviting us to enjoy special performances with Cal. We loved feeling connected to SF and the art scene thru Cal and Victoria. We can't wait to visit again in the winter for some NM powder skiing/boarding!

Recently I was invited to Santa Fe on short notice. I had two days to find a place to stay and was thankfully directed to Victoria and Cal's Biscochito Casita. They were welcoming and and attentive hosts and the casita was beautiful, quiet and comfortable. I would highly recommend Biscochito for your stay in Santa Fe.

Biscochito is a delightfully quiet and comfortable place. There is no motor noise, dead silence at night, just wind and birdsounds. Well appointed, tasteful, colorful, and soothing. The best location of any such casita we've stayed, and we've stayed in several. Our hosts were kind and helpful, available, and considerate. An excellent choice for Santa Fe.
