For several years, we have been renting this property for a week. Obviously, we have enjoyed spending time there and hope to do so in the future. The house is cozy and intimate and very affordable. The bedrooms are comfortably equipped and the neighborhood is calm and serene. The view facing the lake is spectacular.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+.

Our family stayed there in mid-January. What a wonderful place! There were more things available than listed...DVD Player, VCR, plates, bowls, silverware, toaster, etc. The place was clean and comfortable. We liked it so much that we are going to spend a week up there in the summer! This was the first time we ever rented a house and it COMPLETELY exceeded our expectations. We were only 15 minutes from Camelback Mountain. The neighbors were extremely friendly and the view from the back deck overlooking the lake was breathtaking. We ABSOLUTELY recommend this property as a weekend/vacation rental!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Rent this house if you are a fan of snow shoveling, house repairs and dealing with dead wildlife. When I arrived the house was completely snowed in, although all the other rental properties were clear of snow. I spent 3 hours digging my way just to gain access to the house. Upon entering I found there was no heat on the lower floors. After receiving zero help from the property manager I found a breaker in the basement that needed reset. I did get a chance to get up close and personal with the wildlife, since the dead deer under the deck wasn't removed the entire extent of my stay. This is a nice house and would have made for a great stay if only more attention was paid to the tenants needs instead of making excuses for what was not done.Owner response: Although I try to keep my house property free of ice and snow as much as I can, my rental agreement specifically states that I cannot guarantee a snow or ice free property and informs the renters that there is a shovel inside the house in case they might need it. This reviewer agreed to all the terms on the form and signed it. His claim that all rental properties were plowed is not true as there is only one other rental property on my block. This reviewer happened to come the day after the blizzard that hit the East Coast on the night of 12/26/09. The property manager was out of town for that Christmas weekend. so, she could not take care of the snow. She entrusted another neighbor to help out if there were any problems and the renter acknowledged to me that this neighbor was helpful. As far as the heating is concerned, I cannot heat the house 24/7. The renters are told in the rental agreement to turn on the heat upon arrival and turn it down upon departure. As for the dead deer, if the property manager had seen this before this Saturday, she would have removed it. The location of the deer was hidden. It was an unfortunate thing that happens when you are in the woods. By the way, this reviewer stayed only a couple of nights,

we were here for five weekdays and loved it. We came with our friends who are single and unmarried and our family of four (28 yr old couple with two children under five). It was perfect, we fished, swam, relaxed, FED DEER OUT OF OUR HANDS and saw tons of wildlife. The house and area was just as described. You cant exactly swim right off dock because of rocks but my husband did. The beach swimming area and pool are right down the street though...you can see in distance of dock picture. Bring a boat to fish on or you can rent paddle boats (but i dont think you can fish off them) they are free though! This was a perfect summer lake vacation! Thank you!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

The location was not terrible, although a little bit further from Camelback than we anticipated. Regardless the house was everything that we needed. I would recommend this for anybody looking to get away for a ski trip to the Poconos.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+.
