  My husband and I wanted somewhere we could use as a base to explore Tuscany for a week in May 2012 and this proved to be the ideal location. The apartment itself was absolutely beautiful - very tastefully furnished by Gilla, the Italian property owner and immaculately clean. Gilla was marvellous, nothing was too much trouble - at the last minute we had to change our plans and bring our teenage daughter with us, this was no problem at all to arrange, she slept on the sofa bed in the living room. We all arrived very late on the Saturday, we had driven all the way from our home in France, collecting our daughter from Lyon as we drove to Italy. Gilla was there to greet us as soon as we arrived with a bottle of wine and perfect english! She had everything ready for us - and there were lots of very detailed guidelines for us to use, re places to visit, restaurants and things to do. She was available for us to call with any problem we had - she even ordered pizzas for us over the phone, when we arrived back at the apartment very late one evening! There are so many places to visit within an easy drive, it was wonderful - and it would be possible to use the train too, if driving everywhere proved too much. All the train times etc were available at the apartment - and Gilla was always willing to help. Beautiful countryside and apartment, plenty of things to do and places to eat - and Gilla. What more could a person want?!

  If you are touring the sites of Tuscany by car this apartment location in Staffoli serves as a very convenient base. The town is very small and the locals are very friendly. To provide a perspective, our farthest destination was Sienna which was only about a one hour drive. We also parked our car at a nearby train station to reach destinations such as Florence. The apartment is very modern with creative decor located directly across the street from a church. The popular hang outs are a good pizzeria just around the corner, a pub on the corner and a grocery store about one block away. Be sure to try out some of the restaurant recommendations if you want a break from pizza and pasta. We tried the first one on the list and the last. Both were fantastic in very scenic settings. You won't be disappointed if you stay at the Vino Suite apartment.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

  Gilla and her staff did a wonderful job. Can't say anything bad..Try it you'll like it. It was our last week in Italy,And after a so so trip to the north, south and central Italy This was the nicest Apartment by far..

  Recommended for: People with disabilities, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

  Awesome, awesome, awesome. The place is amazing!. We and our friends rented Acqua e Vino Suites which are both attached to each other in the same 2-storey palazzo and we could not have made a more proper choice as far as location (near everything that is beautiful in Tuscany like Lucca, Pisa, Viareggio, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and more) but in the heart of a beautiful typical Tuscan town right next to a wonderful Catholic church and the town square, near two small supermarkets which sell delicious home made Italian cooked food by the portion to take home so no need to cook every day thought our kitchens could not be so perfectly equipped with only but the very best. I will definitely recommend Acqua e Vino to our friends and for anyone looking for luxury at an inexpensive rate. Thank you for everything. Robert, Diana. Atlanta, Georgia
