The website is totally representative of the accommodations. The family room would be ideal for a family of four. Our breakfast was way over to top in abundance and quality. Unfortunately, the weather was too chilly to try out the pool. Woodside is situated in a residential area but the parking was adequate. There were restaurants close and good. I would definitely recommend a stay at Woodside.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

A wonderful stay, a very friendly family run business, two adorable teenage children who were great with our children, inviting them to join them in their games and nightlife. Stacey was very accomodating to our lazy teens who were supposed to be down for breakfast by 09.30, however never made it and were still fed when they finally emerged. All the beer and tea we could drink, a hearty breakfast and a loan of the sat nav so that we could get around. Great conversation, always bubbly and friendly with us. I will be going back again year on year, as a beautiful place and a great location, not in the middle of the hustle and bustle but near enough to get to where you want to go... Thank you for a beautiful stay...Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

An efficient and well run B & B. From the first contact with Luc to book our holiday we found everything to be first class. Stacey was most welcoming and helpful during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for her and whilst we were there she even offered the loan of her own sat. nav. to one of the guests.. Bedrooms were comfortable, clean and spacious and the breakfast was extensive. Stacey was a mine of information with advice on the best places to park when visiting places of interest. On our final morning she even made up a picnic for us as we were leaving before breakfast.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We chose this B & B to stay in at the start of a trip across Germany and the Czech Republic as it was about an hours drive from Calais and not too far from the motorway to Brussels and beyond. I found the B & B to be very comfortable, good breakfast and excellent swimming pool. It is in a peaceful location (we did get lost finding it but Stacey came to the rescue coming to find us). Stacey recommended a good pub for food in the village and we had a great meal there. I would stay again if am visitng Belgium.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We stayed at Woodside for the last night of a two week tour of Europe. We have stopped in hotels & B&B's all over Europe and we can say with absolute certainty, this was the best. The owner Luc was welcoming and informative. His children, friendly and 'part of the team' and his young lady helper was charming, helpful and generally lovely. The pool is clean and surrounded by plenty of comfy seating. There are bright hanging baskets everywhere. The rooms are modern, contemporary and very clean. The coffee machine in the bedroom was a nice touch and the power shower was great. Breakfast was continental style but cooked eggs on offer too. The food was fresh and well presented. We will definitely go again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Just returned from Woodside. The B&B is 20 mins drive from Bruges and 25 mins drive from Ypres. It's in a great location for visiting the many tourist spots and is located in a very quiet suberban spot. The rooms are modern and clean with nice bathrooms and breakfast which was very good and plentiful, is served in the conservatory. It was good to have seating in the conservatory where you can have a drink or read. Unfortunately we had bad weather but the new pool area looked lovely and it would be great to have a swim after a day sightseeing. There is also a small decking area where you can sit outside and have a drink. This would make a great base for a family. Stacy is extremely friendly and makes you feel very welcome, anything you need you only have to ask.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Stacey, our B&B hostess, was very helpful, friendly, and social, a real pleasure! The rooms were modern and clean, and breakfast was just magnificent. Woodside b&b is next to a beautiful forest with castle and park, which was very romantic. Thumbs up, Woodside!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a lovely two days at Woodside Bed and Breakfast. The rooms were clean, airy and modern. Both rooms we had were spacious and the bathrooms were of a good size. There is a coffee making machine and TV with British channels in each room. The set up of Woodside works well. There are 3 rooms that Stacey and Luc have for B&B. All of these are upstairs. There is a family room for at least 4, a double and a twin - (we managed easily with a 'put you up' bed in the double, there was still plenty of room and the extra bed was extremely comfortable). Downstairs in the large conservatory you are offered a huge and delicious breakfast. Cereals, toast, pastries, fruit and eggs done as you like them, with endless coffee or tea. There is also a large sofa or two for you to relax or study the plentiful literature that Stacey has of the surrounding area. Ypres was about 40 mins away, and Bruges about 20mins.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We stayed here for 2 nights for my 21st. The room and ensuite were spotless and all you needed for an overnight stay. A very friendly hostess, great for knowledge and advice on where to go and what to see. Breakfast was a continental selection of cereals and yogurt, breads, rolls, crossiants, hams and cheeses. fruit juice, tea or coffee and cooked eggs of your choice (boiled for me) and a birthday card on the morning of my birthday! a nice location to visit Belgium from.Did you find this review helpful? We stayed here in May '08 and it was a real find! If Carlsberg did B&B's, this would be it!"Probably the best b&b in the world!" Excellent food accomodation cleanliness and hospitality! Stacy in particular has a way of making you feel totally at home from the moment you arrive. Great location for both the coast and WW1 Ballefields of the Ypres/ Ieper area ( each about 20 mins drive ) We had a wonderful stay & would HIGHLY recommend! A++++++Did you find this review helpful? We have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Woodside B&B and it was wonderful. Straight from arrival we were made to feel so completely at home, that it felt you had known Luc & Stacy all your life! Accomodation was clean, modern , very spacious & comfortable with all the mod cons like multi channel TV. The food was great. Breakfast was started with a glass of orange juice ( NOT an thimbleful!) Coffee / tea, cereal, and a selection of freshly baked breads with meats, cheese, preserves and cooked eggs ( if you wish ). All served with the great and bubbly personality of Stacey ( a mine of information on all things local and indeed Belgian!) and nothing was too much trouble. Luc was also a mine of information and together they provide a B&B second to none! I would HIGHLY recommend this establishment and would not hesitate to book again. A good central location for Coast, Ypres/ Ieper battlefields and Bruges ( amongst others ) all at about 20 mins drive from Woodside. Parking was off street and excellent and it is in a beautiful quiet location. One final thing, do not be decieved by online photos that might make you think this is a small house, I can assure you that it isn't and the outside pictures do it no justice in reality! Book this one and you will not be disapointed, but trust me on this - do book early!! A++++++Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband and i stayed at Woodside for 5 nights. The rooms are adequate and include a TV/DVD which has 3 English channels, a bed, wardrobe and an en-suite. The rooms are kept very clean and the host is lovely. She is very chatty and very willing to help you plan your day out. She can also recommend some good places to eat. Woodside itself is set in a small village where there isn't really much going on so if you're looking for a busy nightlife, then this isn't the place for you. If you're looking for a relaxing and peaceful place to stay after a day out in Brugge or the surrounding area, then Woodside is it. It is situated at the side of a wood (hence the name) and it's wonderful. Brugge is only 20 minutes away, and the borders of France and Holland are only an hour away too. We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend it. They're a friendly and accommodating family.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

In August 2005 we stayed at Woodside B&B near Bruges in Belgium. For several reasons we cannot but recommend this litlle pearl : accommodation was perfect, luxurious and very comfortable. Nice breakfast too. Stacey and Luc were very friendly and always there for us. Although not in the centre of Bruges the environment was ideal for us: situated near a big forrest (we went for dinner in the neighbouring castle and felt like kings !) with several walking paths. We'll definitely return!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/1
