Hale Aloha… On The Sand TVNC-4185
Hale Aloha, a private gated oceanfront estate is one of the most secluded beachfront properties on all of Kauai. Located on Aliomanu Bay, this custom beach house offers unobstructed ocean views from most all rooms and the backdrop and grandeur of the Kalalea Mountains is post card perfect. Besides the obvious, location, location, location, Hale Aloha differentiates itself from other beautiful rentals because it was designed, remodeled and decorated for my family. Immediately apparent is the décor, this is not rental décor. The home was decorated by Gail Miller, a well published interior designer known for custom designed furniture with an island feel and the use of neutral colors to highlight the beauty of the outdoor ocean setting.
You will waken to spectacular sunrises and enjoy the benefit of the most central of locations for all Kauai adventures. Be forewarned however because once you settle into this gracious home you may not want to leave.
With your morning coffee in hand, stroll across your lawn to the inviting sand and warmed turquoise waters. It won’t be long before the routine of car, door, office, is replaced by swim, eat, visit with the fish, and watch the stars. Protected from the waves by extensive offshore reefs our very secluded beach provides the safest of locations for the youngest and oldest of swimmers and is perfect for snorkeling year round. Take one of our ocean kayaks across the bay, marvel at the colorful coral formations and visit with the turtles.
Our comfortable, yet elegant home, tells a story and sets a spectacular stage. Impassioned by all that is Hawaii, it was never our desire to trump its setting and so although our home’s magnificent attention to detail is glamorous it has been sensitively designed to reflect a quieter slower time that retains a sense of the romanticism of old Hawaii. My personal collection of authentic surf art and rare surfboards decorate my home and compliment the easily recognized trademarks of Gail Miller.
Hale Aloha has all the conveniences to allow for gracious living, an fully appointed gourmet kitchen with an indoor grill, full size ice maker, wine cellar, bar sink, and beverage fridge. Enjoy dinner in the formal dining room, an informal brunch in the casual dining area, or go island style on the 75' lanai, where you can also seat 12 for a oceanfront meal.
Enjoy a game of basketball in the driveway or a game of crocket in the back yard. Take a romantic walk at night, revel in the grandeur of the milky-way and rediscover the constellations.
Be pampered by our hardwood floors, sleep in the splendor of our bedding, walk the manicured lawn through tropical landscaping, pick our plumerias and discover the joys watching lilies open and close in the Koi pond. The tranquility of this home is only outdone by the privacy afforded our guests. There are many lovely homes on Kauai, but location, design and quality of amenities make Hale Aloha unique. Come see for yourself. I promise you will not be disappointed.
Come enjoy gracious Hawaiian living, this lovely newly repainted home can accommodate 13-15 guests.
• The beachfront gated estate features 5 bedrooms, plus a den with a trundle bed, 6 full bathrooms, 2 laundry rooms with washer/dryer, wifi, cable, DVD, CD, iPod docks, and Flat Screen TV's.

If there were more starts to rate this place I would use all of them. Besides the house, location, and views, Jude the house manager is worth another 5 stars alone. We rented this house to not only have our wedding, but to have a place to share with our close family and friends for a week of relaxation. We had 11 people staying in the house and never once did it feel crowded, in fact I found myself wandering around shouting for people I couldn't find. The house itself is immaculate, with all the charm of Hawaii one could ask for. I've seen other reviews state it as well, and it can't be overstated…the pictures DO NOT do this place justice. The amazing kitchen was our favorite part of the whole house, where everyone would gather to hang, cook, and enjoy the view. Step out of the house into your spacious backyard, and step out of your backyard onto the almost private beach. We witnessed sunrises nothing short of spectacular, often enjoying them by snorkeling or kayaking with gear provided by the house. As far as the wedding, the house accommodated 35 people without a hitch. We set up a tent and dance floor in the backyard and had room to spare for a photo booth, cocktail tables, food buffet and a DJ. I cannot imagine a better setting than this private backyard overlooking the ocean. Jude the house manager may have been the best part of this whole deal. She greeted us with beautiful flowers and every detail needed, and after a quick rundown she left us in privacy. The day of the wedding we had what we thought were faulty outlets, and with one call to Jude she was there in 5 minutes…this was a Sunday! It turned out there was no problem at all but Jude was there anyway, with all the extension chords we could need just in case, along with some delicious local fruit and a grocery bag full of flowers. Bottom line: if we had an issue, Jude was there. You will not be sorry staying here and we fully intend to come back for more. I write this back at home, depressed I am gone, but truly grateful we were able to call this home for a week...If you stay, say hello to the sea turtles out back for us. This home is amazing! It was very hard to say good bye to the hammock with a view of the ocean and listening to the waves crash all night from my bedroom window. My sister and I are very picky when it comes to were we stay and she said that this is THE best designed and decorated house she has ever been in. Jude, the property manager, brought us some welcome gifts of fresh pineapple and exotic fruits - she was all about aloha. The sunrise from my bedroom window is a MUST to be experienced. I'm almost hesitant in writing this review because I don't want it to be booked up the next time I want to come to Kauai. The house is on the sand with a private entrance direct from the lawn - step off the back lawn and onto the sand - it's that close! There is snorkeling directly in your back yard and in a quiet neighborhood. The beach is very secluded which would be great for a romantic trip (walking on what seems like a private beach) or a family trip - chances are very high that you will have the beach to yourself! The owner's have an appreciation for surfing history as it shows throughout the house's decor. The amenities were fantastic (beach towels, designer bath soaps, beach chairs, boogie boards, kayaks, etc.) and we would love to come again! Thank you for making our Kauai vacation a trip of a lifetime! MAHALO!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was one of the best vacation spots I have ever been too. The location is ideal and perfect. The house itself has so much charm and personality, I don't think I will ever want to stay in a hotel in Kauai again. I went with a group of 11 and we had plenty of space. Could have even fit more! Grounds where nice and Jude (the house manager) was super attentive and helpful! Spent most the time in the beautiful kitchen and out back on the patio relaxing, chatting and listening to the waves. The entire group loved the place so much we all are positive we will return here when we come back to Kauai. Don't even hesitate, you WANT to stay at this house!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

We recently stayed at Hale Aloha and held our destination wedding in the backyard. When we arrived, we were speechless! The pictures online did not do it justice. Not only was the view absolutely stunning but every detail in the house was perfect for a classic Hawaiian home. All of our guests fell in love with the home and could not have loved it more. If you are looking for an amazing Kauai vacation rental, look no further. The private beach the house looks out onto was perfect for snorkeling and kayaking and is located just minutes from great little towns. The house also includes kayaks and great lounging furniture. We are already planning a trip back! If you are looking for a destination wedding site, Hale Aloha is your spot. We could not have asked for a better location. It added so much Hawaiian charm and character to our ceremony and reception. We did not want to leave!! The only hindrance was the tiny road it's located on so plan on a shuttle of some kind but other than that, absolutely wonderful home.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This house was hands down the very best part of of the very best vacation of my life! We had 11 people staying there, 3 couples, 3 children, and 2 singles, and everyone loved it, and had a wonderful time! The beach is AMAZING. The Kitchen is AMAZING! The sunrises were AMAZING! There was enough space in the house that everyone had plenty of space. The kids loved the house. Kauai is a incredible island. The Na'Pali coast tour is a definite must see. Same with Waimea canyon. The best shave ice on the island is 3 minutes away (by car) at the defries wagaon (debest shave ice). Hanalei was an charming town, easily the groups favorite beach as well. The farmers market by the Kong Lung center by the lighthouse on Thursday was amazing. Still, with all the amazing, beautiful locations located on this tropical paradise, this house was one of my favorite memories from our amazing vacation. I can not rate this house high enough. Please, do yourself a favor and stay here.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

I feel so fortunate to have had the privilege to stay in this wonderful home with our kids and grandbabies. We could not have imagined a better place for a family vacation. The home had everything we could possibly have wanted: the kitchen complete with icemaker, wine cooler, bar fridge as well as full fridge, gas stove, indoor bbq grill (didn't use it but it was nice to know we could have) plus outdoor bbq kayaks, boogie boards, kids' toys... The house is a tribute to the island, tastefully furnished and decorated. Great location, only 1/2 hour from the airport and central enough to make everywhere we wanted to go attainable in a day trip. The managers recommended Chef Juels to us who came in and cooked a couple of amazing meals and charmed us with her presence. We loved being only a couple of miles from a great fruit stand/espresso/sandwich place that made the best fresh fruit smoothies ever. Enjoyed the Bakery, Natural Foods, Fish Market...in Kilawea and fell in love with Kauai itself. Having such a great home to stay in was definitely a big factor in our vacation. Lots of room for us to hang out together but also plenty of privacy. The sights and sounds from the linai and the deck were incredible. We saw whales, snorkeled right in front of the house, kayaked, were fortunate to have amazing weather as well as a full moon and clear skies. I would recommend this property to anyone with a group. I was impressed by the photos on the listing but they cannot fully capture the character of the home and wonder of the setting. Although we were all continuing our vacations in various parts of Hawaii we all felt sad to leave. We'll be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: My husband and I enjoyed living in and caring for Hale Aloha (VRBO 308945) and Hale Aliomanu (VRBO 306938). Both private gated estates are 200 feet apart on same secluded Aliomanu Bay. I have always loved the water, and after coming to Hawaii in the 70's when I was 17 I knew I'd never leave. We moved to Kauai in 2000 and love the ocean, surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and fishing. The quiet small town appeal of Kauai fits our personalities perfectly. Some of my most cherished family memories are from the estates at Aliomanu Bay. Please give us a call anytime about your vacation plans and this property. Much aloha, Jude and Paul Huber
Why the Owner Chose Aliomanu Bay:
location-very secluded beachfront estate extends to the sand, large yard, safe year round swimming for my family, quiet safe neighborhood, old style plantation house design, close to conveniences.
The Unique Benefits at this Estate:
The warm sands of the Pacific in the front yard, trade wind air conditioning, the sound of the ocean, great weather, plantation charm of this spacious house, interior designs by Gail Miller, gourmet kitchen, formal dining room, casual dining area in kitchen, 50' upper lanai and 75' lower deck with dining for 12... the sun and moon rising out of the water is so romantic and the lack of ambient light make stargazing spectacular. Strolls on a moonlit beach, castles in the sand, the dolphins in the summer, the whales in the winter and the sleepy monk seals and happy go lucky turtles are sure to be treasured memories.
