You'll know you found us when you see the peppy pink house of Ashland. Yup, when we say pink we mean pink, with lovely purple trim around the windows, the welcoming porch with front row views of the 4th of July fireworks and Ashland's public tennis courts and the great campus of USO right across the street.
We have a nice wide driveway and lots of street parking for your RV or boat.
The home is a bright, clean, cheerful space. Inside you'll find two sunny bedrooms with queen beds, a kitchen stocked with everything you need to make and serve a lovely meal (get your spectacular local food Ashland is famous for at one of the great local markets!), a squeaky clean bathroom, and a relating sitting space complete with futon...just in case you need another place to sleep!
The vacation rental is completely private - a seperate home built upstairs above the main house.

This home is a gem. We're usually hotel travelers but I think we've been converted. Staying in this vacation home was the same price as a hotel and we had a wonderful kitchen (so we saved money by eating a few meals in), a great little table to chat and play card games, two private bedrooms with super comfortable beds, and a great little sunny deck and BBQ we were able to enjoy even on a February day. My biggest concern with a vacation rental vs. hotel was cleanliness, but there was nothing to be worried about, the house was totally spotless...cleaner than most hotels we've stayed at, I would say. Thanks to Alla for candy treats and tips on where to eat and explore! We truly had a wonderful time.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My family was looking for a great place to stay for our christmas and we found it. We had a family of 13 so we rented this unit plus the downstairs unit which had a separate entrance. 5 of my family slept here and we had all our gatherings in the downstairs unit so if you have a big group this is perfect! It has a kitchen which was perfect for members to have what they needed when they weren't downstairs. They were very comfortable. It is very clean and the owner is awesome. We will return to Ashland and even though there are lots of places to stay in Ashland, we have found our homeawayfromhome! We will stay here again and again and again! Thanks Alla for a fantastic time and thanks for sharing your home and taking pride in assuring your guests are comfortable and enjoy themselves while visiting beautiful Ashland! What a wonderful trip we had to Ashland! Thank you VRBO for helping us find a great place we consider better than a B&B. We were able to cook our own meals, sleep in bedrooms larger than San Fran style B&Bs and play card games all night! We even used the BBQ for hamburgers out on the very enjoyable deck! Saw the other review and had to laugh, no bad smells - we will be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.

The major concern that I have is that there is a mold problem at the house. There was an overpowering mold smell that emanated from the stairs and the closet near the bathroom. I notified the owner so check to see whether they have had a chance to repair the problem. On the positive side, there was a lovely deck in the front of the house where we sat each morning to enjoy the sunshine.Owner response: We are so sorry you experienced the unpleasant smell during your stay. The home DOES NOT have a mold problem. Unfortunately, we had an issue with a raccoon under the house that caused the smell but we were able to remedy the situation immediately. If we had know about the smell during your stay would have been able to correct the problem while you were still there. Just to reassure you once again, the home is bone dry and there are no leaks, water, or mold issues. We always encourage our guests to let us know of any issues that come up and are available 24/7 to correct any issues. So sorry again for your inconvenience.

We stayed for 6 weeks in this house. Everything was nice, the owners helped us finding stuffs for our little daughter. It's quite close to downtown, the Tuesday market, the Market of choice and my school ( EcoNest). It's clean and everything is there for a long stay. The beds are really comfortable. You just have to make sure you love the carpet and be aware that the University is on the other side of the street.... Also, you are in the second floor and the first floor is to rent too. The owners are always available for anything. It's a good place to be in Ashland.Owner response: We loved meeting you and your family and so glad the home worked out for your 6 week stay. I think that is one of the very nice things about our home, it is great for a short stay but also has everything you need for an extended visit to Ashland. Your daughter was absolutely adorable and I was so excited when I found that little dress for her, I hope she enjoys it! Thank you for taking such good care of our home during your extended stay. Hope you'll be back to Ashland again one day and stay with us again - next time with your family of 4! Warmly, Alla

The kids and I stayed there in December. Not enough snow, unfortunately, to ski or snowboard, but the place itself was great! Super clean, the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed, cozy rooms in a quiet neighborhood... We loved it and would definitely stay again. PS: Was surprised to see the 'disappointed' review--I thought the pictures here showed the place pretty accurately...Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

About the owner: Our family fell in love with Ashland on our first trip to see the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in 2006. In fact, we loved it so much we moved here! We welcome you to enjoy our Ashland oasis and all that Ashland has to offer.
Why the Owner Chose Ashland:
Beautiful area, friendliest people, spectacular locally grown and organic food, excellent restaurants and world-class theater all within a few minutes walk. Oh, and the skiing and snowboarding at Mt. Ashland as well as the 4th of July and holiday parades. The reasons list on and on.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our home offers Front Row Seats to Ashland's fireworks show!! And we're located next to the Southern Oregon University...you are walking distance from parks, restaurants and shopping centers, and downtown is a short walk away. There are great public tennis courts across the street and the walk/bike path that runs through Ashland is just two blocks away. Our favorite shopping treat is just down the street from our home...the Tuesday Market - complete with an amazing selection of organic produce, hand-crafted ice cream, home-made tamales, soaps, teas, plants and just about anything else your heart desires.
If you are lucky enought to spend 4th of July in Ashland our home has front row seats to the evening fireworks! It's the perfect place to sit with an iced tea, fresh fruit from the market or an ice cream cone (or glass of Oregon wine!) and watch the fireworks show right from the driveway.
