  My husband & I recently stayed here for our anniversary. We absolutely LOVED it. The house had everything that we could possibly need. It was updated, beautifully decorated, clean. I want to live there! Screened in porch that we sat on every morning contemplating what we were going to do & every evening winding down from our day. Loved having bicycles to ride, that saved a LOT of expense. Short bike ride or walk to the beach. Our favorite thing was at the end of the street, a little park with a pond & ducks to feed, birds & some other animals. So fun! It is off the main road but seconds to the main road where everything is. If you didn't want to drive your car while you were there, you wouldn't have to. Peaceful, quiet, beautifully landscaped. Very nice pool! I don't know how much more I can say! Hated to leave! We usually go somewhere different every year but we liked it so much, I think we may have found a permanent vacation spot!

  the cottager was wonderful. We are really into eating at home and were pleasantly surprised to find so many utensils especially the fine Lennox flatware....even cocktail forks which we definitely used!! And, nice firm mattresses. Very clean. Many thanks.

  My daughter and I stayed at this cute little cottage last July and already have it reserved for this July. The cottage was as described and was perfect for the week. We walked and biked to the beach everyday and had a wonderful time. The pool is a nice addition and loved that everything on the island was such a short car ride away with great restaurants. Can't wait to go back! I have recommended to friends and family.

  Let me start with the positives - the owner is very nice and personable. The property was as pictured, so no complaints there. The ease of checking in/out was a plus. Bathroom was a nice size and recently updated. But overall, I was not that impressed and would most likely not stay here again. First, there is a nonrefundable cleaning fee that is a little steep, especially considering the fact that when I arrived, it was just in fair shape. There were hairballs on the bathroom floor, fridge handle was dirty, prior renters towels were in dryer, etc. Also, I realize there is nothing you can do about this as nature is nature, but I had to kill a 3.5 inch long cockroach in the bedroom. I realize bugs are common in Florida, so I don't fault the owner for this...but not the best experience. There is not enough lighting in the bedrooms. The hot water in the shower ran out very quickly. Also, very limited TV channels...but this didn't affect me too much as I not a big TV person. Overall, a "fair" experience. I am providing this feedback as constructive criticism as I feel the out-of-town owner should be made aware - particularly with respect to the level of cleanliness. I have stayed at Sanibel Shores before, but in a different rental - therefore I have some room for comparison.

  Great owner communication - property was exactly as described. Nice little bike ride to a lovely little beach - weather was great which made the stay really great. Would do it again in a heart beat.

  Recommended for: Age 55+.

  We have been to this cottage several times.....very clean and updated. Exactly as avertised. Many things to do. Jump on your bike and take off around the island. Very close to the beach. We have sevreal more dates booked at this place and plan to come back for years to come!!

  Clean, good location, well appointed and easy. The pool was lovely. We enjoyed it every day. The kitchen was adequate and well equipped. The master bedroom mattress was great. This room could use a mirror (small detail). The guest bedroom mattress was not so good. It was soft. This second bedroom could used a dresser as well. The TV was okay. Not many channels available. We did not watch much TV. Instead we took after dinner walks around the neighborhood always under a fabulous rainbow and followed by two of the most adorable kittens. We would love to come back to Sanibel and stay in this cottage. It was a little slice of heaven.

  We stayed one week at the cottage. It was very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the 2 bicycles that were at the property. Kitchen well equipped: coffee maker, blender, popcorn popper, toaster, etc. Screened in porch is pretty well secluded from the street so very enjoyable for breakfast each day. Pool is heated and well maintained. King bed in main bedroom very comfortable - didn't use other bedroom.

  This lovely little cottage absolutely exceeded our expectations. A much needed peaceful time in perfect surroundings. This owner is the most accomodating person we have met in any place we have stayed. The photos and description are definitely accurate. The cottage is tastefully appointed and perfectly spotless. We will definitely recommend a stay to all friends and relatives. The only reason we would not is that they might want to stay when we want to book it again! We bicycle, golf and enjoy an early morning walk on the beach each day. The cottage is a very short distance from any of these activities. It is very peaceful and quiet so just relaxing and reading a book on the screened in porch was a great "in-activity." Ding Darling Bird Sanctuary is always a must for us. We love bicycling through it. Gramma Dots, The Lighthouse Cafe and Island Cow are some favorite eating spots when we do not feel like cooking at home. We will leave for our Wisconsin home in a few days and will really miss the wonderful little piece of Paradise. Hopefully, we will be able to return same time next year.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.
