  Hale Alana exceeded our expectations and then some! Staying in this lovely house in this amazing setting was a vacation within its self. The house was perfect for our group of 3 couples, each bedroom afforded quite and privacy and the bedding for all of us was extremely comfortable. It was fun to meet in the lovely dining area in the mornings for coffee and computer time. The entire house was equipped with every detail we desired. The deck and hot tub were so much fun, we spent many hours there especially at sunset and the view was breathtaking. The gardens around the entire house were simply BEAUTIFUL and kept to perfection. We enjoyed the pool area, what a lovely setting in every way. Headed to the beach.....just check the storage room in the garage....there you will find everything you will ever need. Thank you Martha for everything you did to make sure we had the very best stay. We are now counting the days until we return.

  My husband and I recently stayed here for our honeymoon. This was our first visit to Hawaii and we were both very satisfied with our stay here. This is a gorgeous vacation house with breath-taking views of the ocean and romantic sunsets. The decor and paintings throughout the house made it very unique and cozy. Nestled in a quiet, respectful neighborhood we found it comforting to return to the house, that felt very much like home, every evening after an activity-filled day. Our stay here very much felt like we had our own exclusive paradise on Maui! Of course we had more than enough room for the two of us as this house can easily accommodate medium size families in the spacious living areas, 3 bedrooms, along with the availability of a blow up bed and cot. The kitchen was fully stocked with basic appliances, dinnerware and even had cooking necessities such as seasonings, rice and napkins. There was no need to worry about running out of clean bath towels or beach towels. We took advantage of using coolers, beach chairs and swimming/snorkling gear that was available at the house when we went out to explore Maui and even just to relax at the pool. We hope to return one day to share our experience here with our families or maybe our own future children!

  My family had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Hale Alana. Arranging rental details through the agent was easy and straight forward and the property was all set up on our arrival. The agent showed us through the property after we were settled and answered all of our questions. There was an abundance of room for my wife and I and our three teenagers and the home is completely equipped. Everything one might need for a day at the beach was included and available (stored in the garage). We actually skipped the beach one day and spent the entire day playing by the pool and relaxing in the huge yard. I already miss enjoying my morning coffee on the expansive deck while watching the whales and evening drinks after dinner watching the sunset over the ocean. The property is located in an upscale neighborhood and is very quiet and well kept. Driving time from the house to the beach is about 8 minutes. We would definitely recommend this property for a family vacation.

  We had the perfect family vacation...6 Adults plus 2 kids worked great...lots of space and everything in the house was perfect. We wanted to move in permanently. We will come back. The beds and linens are high quality..pillows are great...we all slept like we were home...maybe better. no complaints. Martha was great to deal with and very helpful. I have sent the link to several people at my work who want to have a "family" vacation. Thanks for the memories.

  Perfect home for our blended family. Martha is very helpful, quick to bring what you need. The pool was awesome and the view from the deck is breathtaking. Easy access to all the places one goes to in Maui without the crowds of staying in town. Would definitely stay there again.

  i had the great pleasure of spending my 50th birthday at this house and i'm still flying high from my week there!!!!! i walked in and there was lovely fruit tray with balloons and a birthday card and that was the beginning of the love! i had i had 5 friends stay there and we never wanted to leave the house, we cooked,played games, swam in the pool, took naps on the deck, it was sheer perfection i'm planning a return because it could not have been better gerrymac

  We have been to Maui on a couple of other times with a smaller group and have always enjoyed our stays but needed a larger accomodation this time for eight adults and a child. Hale Alana exceeded what we had hoped for in terms of comfort, space and ease of access to all the beaches and activities we wanted to take part in. The home is large and all rooms are spacious and plenty of facilities for a large group. We like to cook at home when we are all together so the barbeque and kitchen were perfect for us. The pool was great fun in the afternoon in the mid day sun after a morning at the beach. Having the house to ourselves meant no competing for lounge chairs. Martha was available to get us started and whenever needed for questions or assistance. We would definitely stay again.

  Our stay at Hale Alana in Maui Meadows was simply splendid. As frequent vacationers to Maui, we are well acquainted with this island's beauty and serenity. Hale Alana provided us with accommodation and amenity that made this trip the best ever. Each day presented us with a difficult dilemma. Would it be the magnificent South Maui beaches where we would normally go (a mere 10 minutes away)? The Shops at Wailea (5 minutes)? Tennis? A sunset restaurant dinner? Or should we stay put and lounge around Hale Alana's private refreshing waterfall pool and expansive lawn or sun bathe and whale-watch (binoculars supplied) from the upper entertainment-size ocean-view deck. With its generous view- oriented interior and exterior spaces and special touches, we found ourselves (much to our surprise) choosing to remain at Hale Alana the majority of days! Daytime we were drawn to the spectacular ocean views from the huge, open plan entry/dining/kitchen/vaulted living room (truly a "great room") and two main bedrooms, each space flowing out onto the continuous two level deck. Sunsets from the deck invariably rated a "10". At night, we star-gazed from the hot tub. Day by day, Hale Alana drew us in. The more practical components of Hale Alana were all excellent. Beds and linens, fully equipped kitchen and appliances (2nd fridge in the garage came in handy), 3 bathrooms and a 3rd bedroom, laundry room, outdoor shower for after-beach rinse...everything was there. And Martha provided just the right amount of assistance and management (a decidedly non-emergency comment to her that the hot tub temperature could use a slight adjustment brought a serviceman within two hours). Needless to say, we would heartily recommend Hale Alana.

  As a first time visitor to Hawaii, Maui was a wonderful location to spend Christmas vacation with my husband and adult children. Renting a house gave us the flexibility to relax, spend wonderful dinners at the house or dine out. One of my favorite experiences was watching the sun set and the stars fill the entire sky on the deck every night. I would highly recommend this house for a family retreat. It met the needs of all ages from the well equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, the spacious deck, bar-b-que, hot tub, and swimming pool. This vacation was my favorite of all time. Aloha

  Hale Alana was a near perfect place for our short visit to Maui. The setting is gorgeous, w/ ocean views, the tropical garden w/ its absolutely refreshing lava pool, and in a quiet neighborhood above the typical busy-ness of the south Maui coast. The house itself is more than promised in the description and photos w/ beautiful, open spaces yet a cozy, relaxing ambience. We woke each morning to bird song and soft sunlight; we went to bed each night under starry skies and soft breezes. VERY Hawaii. And best of all was Martha, who welcomed us, answered any questions, pointed us in the right directions, and was ready w/ any assistance we might need. We've promised ourselves to return to Maui and of course to Hale Alana..
