Although tiny by American standards, this apartment was great for the two of us. Cozy with a comfortable bed after a day of seeing the city. Located within walking distance of Metro stations, grocery (Monoprix nearby and a local convenience store steps away), laundry and a lot of restaurants. The technology package (WIFI, cable and long distance telephone) was well worth the cost and worked great. Loved the view of the courtyard and the full moon over the buildings next door. We will stay here again and have recommend this apartment to our friends and family. A bientot Paris!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My wife and I stayed here for our 5 nights in Paris. It is a simple, small studio apartment (200 square feet) in the heart of an excellent Parisian neighborhood. It is a block from the subway station and 5-8 minute walk to two grocery stores (Fineprix is right towards Filles du Calvaire and Monoprix is out and to the left), which proved to be invaluable in such an expensive city. The apartment is as described in all other reviews: basic kitchen essentials, coffee press, small bathroom with shower, comfy bed, small TV, etc. Just remember to bring a towel as they are not provided. The owners gave us a lot of information about the apartment (rules, access, etc) before we arrived. Good option as a basic place to stay in Paris.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing.

The studio is around 200m from Republique, in an excellent neighborhood that feels like "real" Paris (the 11eme) rather than "tourist" Paris. Being near Republique is handy for the many metro lines that stop there. The apartment itself is very clean and well maintained, and otherwise is typical of a Paris studio. There isn't any of what you would call closet space, though there were some hooks on the wall and several coathangers. (One shouldn't come to Paris loaded with baggage anyway, right?) It's one room with an alcove devoted to the shower, sink, and toilet (separated from the main room by a vinyl accordion door), and adjacent to the alcove a little kitchen area with a below-counter refrigerator and a 4-burner electric stove (if I recall correctly). The kitchen is stocked with basic essentials: plates, utensils, glasses, and so forth, and some nonperishable staples were helpfully left by prior visitors. The proprietors apologetically indicated that there were no towels, citing a wave of microbial contagion afflicting the region (not something I've ever heard of, but okay); however, there was a towel there when I visited. In sum, a good, clean, basic studio in an excellent, non-Disneyland location.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 14/15

The studio is of course - a studio - so it is small. But it works well for two persons and the price was very reasonable. The WIFI worked perfectly on my IPHONE! The metro very convenient. I highly recommend Classic Walk Tours (see tripadvisor) as it is on the same line as the closest metro. Just get on and go. The Classic tour starts at 10am each day. Ask for Gil he was great. The WWII tour was also wonderful and leaves from Louis bridge. This is an American company so no problem understanding the guides. They have segway, bike or walk. We did the two walks and LOVED them. Very reasonably priced and very convenient for this studio. BTW - it's the 4th floor (USA) and the stairs are a bit steep - but no worries as you only go up and down usually once or twice a day. So unless stairs bother you - go for it!Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

as others have said, this studio is in a very convenient location with trains easily accessible at both Republique and Bastille as well as a subway stop right next to the apartment. While very small, it was perfect for two people. I think any more than that would be too tight as it is basically one room. Large windows so it was cool at night and kitchen worked perfectly. Also appreciated that there was a hair dryer in the bathroom - one less thing to carry! Very easy access to the apartment. The only glitch was the airport shuttle at the end of our stay that we paid for and thought had been reserved in advance with our rental contract. When we called to reconfirm, there was no reservation and even though I speak French (luckily), it took several calls and was very difficult to find a shuttle to the airport on Aug 16th as it was a huge travel day in France. If you choose this option, be sure to check that a reservation was actually made. Other than that - I recommend this property!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My wife and I spent an excellent week at Claude and Violaine's apartment in the Marais. The place is small, clean and safe. The neighborhood is incredible. Great bakeries, butcher and wine shops, restaurants and bars. We found the neighborhood to be extremely fun and we had many late nights as the weather was perfect and people were spilling out onto the narrow streets. The metro is nearly right out your front door. The locals couldn't have been more welcoming. It was convenient to be right next to The Hotel Murano as all cab drivers could figure out how to get there. Instructions were perfect from Claude on directions, how to use the codes and lock box. We would stay there again in a second. Thanks!Recommended for: Tourists without a car.

You will not be disappointed with this quiet studio. The large windows give you a great breeze and the bed is comfortable. Kitchen and bath are small, but it is easier to clean. Try this out, enjoy almost anything you are looking for in Paris. For us we were on a pilgrimage. We first stayed in Lourdes and it was Magnificent for us. In Paris we visited Notre Dame Cathedral and spent a long time there. We had to cut our trip a little short, but staying here was a great way to say good bye to France for now. The owners were very generous, friendly, helpful and easy to work with. We did cook and found the food markets great. If we get a next time we will certainly use these property owner, we will find more Catholic churches, attend Holy Mass and visit. You have found a good place to stay here.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

On my second visit to paris, I decided to rent an apartment for my stay. Renting an apartment from Claude and Violaine was hands down the best decision I made. Not only were they very nice, trustworthy and understanding, their apartments were clean, ready to live in, and the whole renting process with them was seamless, and more importantly stress free! If you want to really live like a parisian and enjoy paris renting an apartment is the way to go, you actually experience the unique everyday culture that renting an apartment provides you, and i know this sounds cliché but honestly just walking to the market to buy your groceries for dinner, and visiting the restaurant next door, or riding the metro opens your eyes to so much, some of which you could miss out on by staying at an inclusive hotel. As a solo traveler, I was a little bit worried about staying in an apartment by myself, but honestly it turned out amazing, the people in france are so nice and helpful, and even if you dont speak french its easy to engage in conversation, and paris offeres a fun nightlife and peaceful events all in the same city. A little about the apartments; like I said before they are clean, well maintained, furnished, and come with pretty much everything you would need for your stay. If you need anything it is so easy to get in touch with the owners, and more importantly they respond back in a timely manner, and they actually care, honestly dealing with them was delightful and there is nothing better than being on vacation, and having people who care about the quality of service they are giving you and keeping you transition stress free! The apartment I stayed in, was very close to the metro, which was great because i used it daily to get around paris, there also were some great restaurants with in walking distance as well. Did i mention the apartment was beautiful? I loved the courtyard view! About paris; it really is as wonderful and beautiful as they say it is, I have personally visited, during the summer and this time in february and both were amazing times! If I was to sum it up in one (long) sentence... I loved the apartment, i thoroughly enjoyed my stay, the owners were great, the local parisians were so nice, and paris was beyond amazing, and I have and would HIGHLY recommend staying at this apartment.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this charming studio. The location is ideal and provides excellent access to many attractions in Paris. The studio was well-maintained and perfect for our trip. The owners were so helpful in our planning process. They are the nicest, friendliest, must trustworthy people. They helped plan everything from our accommodations to our shuttle ride to and from the airport. The next time my husband and I go to Paris we would love to rent a property from them again. I cannot recommend them enough! We had such a great trip and loved the studio!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
