With 10 adults, 2 teenagers, and 5 kids we were all very comfortable using both the main and guest houses. The property and neighborhood are great with a short distance to the beach, and the electric car is awesome. The beach access is easy. Location to all the action up and down 30A, distance to shell island or crab island, and downtown Destin is wonderful. House is fairly new and finished out with extras and well stocked with necessities for guests. The pool is a little small, but still enjoyed by everyone in the evenings. We had bad weather on the day we arrived and found branches in the pool area, as well as broken patio furniture because of the storm. The owner was there promptly and cleaned up the mess without us even noticing. We would rent this property again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities.

We just returned from enjoying this house last week and I couldn't wait to write a review. We are a multi-generational family of 4 kids and 10 adults. We rented both the house and the above garage apartment. The house was fantastic. All of the bedrooms were beautiful. The master bath housed the most amazing shower, it was big enough to accomodate a full-sized giraffe! (we didn't bring one) The house was plenty big enough for 10 and everyone had a bed. One of the nicest things was that the kitchen had enough dishes and silverware for everyone. Counting the apartment, we had 5 refridgerators. Everything from the bedding to the electronics was top of the line. The garage apartment was the 'no kid zone' where my single siblings could sleep late. It included two bedrooms, a small kitchen and living area. It also had a small washer and dryer. The pool was small but deep. Everyone, especially the kids, enjoyed it. The golf cart was a nice addition, although it had a few technical problems while we were there. If you book this house (and you should, the price is a steal), here are a couple of suggestions. Bring extra towels. The house provides enough for bathing but you also need towels for beaching and swimming. Buy paper plates. Bring lots of water, the local water tasted strange to me. We brought our own fishing gear but didn't use it. Area attractions: The house is perfectly located on a small stretch of beautiful beach between Destin and Fort Walton Beach. Here are some things we enjoyed: The Donut Hole, Bayou Bill's Seafood, Fuddpuckers (great for a big family), Sea Dragon pirate cruise, parasailing. Didn't like: Boogies glass bottom boat ride because we really didn't see anything. Hope your family has an experience just like ours. My son said this was his best vacation ever!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

A must stay! My wife and I celebrated our 15th anniversary at this house over the July 4 week and we loved it so much we came back for Labor Day. Both visits were absolutely spectacular. This house is everything described by the owners and more, you must see it to believe it. Lots of space and the screened in porch is excellent. A great vacation experience, from being on the beach in less than five minutes to cooling off in your own private pool. We look forward to coming back with our children and friends!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children.

The house was beautiful and clean! It had everything imaginable! This was the first time we had been to the gulf coast and it was amazing...the beaches were beautiful! The owners were great and very fast to respond to any questions. I would most certain rent this property again and would recommend highly to others. We enjoyed Fat Clemenza's restaurant in Destin...make reservations!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed at this wonderful house and loved every minute of it. The house in everything you could ever want. It was clean,comfortable and everything is upgraded with the best. The kitchen is a gourmet's delight with high end appliances and granite plus stainless steel. The master bathroom has a huge shower built for 2 with a rain head plus another shower head. Felt like being under a waterfall. The tub was jetted and surrounded with candles. It has a wonderful screened patio and it was never too hot with the ceiling fan. It has an outdoor kitchen with large grill and granite counter tops. It has a very small private pool/spa. There are laundry facilites to keep up on your washing. One of the great things was that all the bedrooms had their own private bathroom. There was not a shortage of bathrooms and there is even a pool bathroom so you don't have to go far when outside. The house is very large and 2 story. The owners are not exaggerating when they say it has 2 master bedrooms. The master upstairs even has its own very large outdoor balcony. The house has 4 garage spaces. The owners have provided you with an electric car to go back & forth to the beach. Driving the electric car was one of my favorite things. I loved it! They have thought of everything to provide for your every need & comfort. They are very nice, accomodating and available. I received my deposit back too. This house was a great value and we will definitely rent from them again. We really enjoyed Shipwreck Island Waterpark in Panama City. We also enjoyed Landry's Seafood in Destin but be prepared to spend alot of money. There is an outdoor mall where the Bass Pro Shop is in Destin which was very nice too. The beach was awesome with sugar white sand and very un-crowded. It is a very short distance in your electric car, about 2 blocks. We are absolutely coming back again and can not say enough good stuff to do this house or its owners justice. Thank you for making our vacation a wonderful experience!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

About the owner: We're fifty something's with 2 twenty something kids. This is our dream retirement home that we're sharing until that glorious day, years down the road, when we get to actually retire. Almost forgot: one dog: Ellie, a Lab.

Our house is out of the hustle bustle but everything is nearby. Great location for walkers and beach lovers. As for bicyclists, there could not be a better location. There's no heavy Traffic but you may run into Steve Winwood.
