  We had the opportunity to stay in this apartment for a few months. The owners could not have been more attentive, if needed, or more accommodating. The apartment has radiant heat in the travertine tile floors, the ceilings are all natural wood, the windows are almost wall to wall, the professional gas stove was amazing….and this is just the start! You don’t need to bring a thing; it’s all there. The location is very nice. The grocery and liquor stores are within a stone’s throw of the apartment. There are several great restaurants all within walking distance: Flour Power (best sourdough ever!), Thai Paradise (top two of pad Thai we’ve ever eaten), Colorado Boy (best pizza ever bar none!), Kate’s Place (amazing breakfast), True Grit Restaurant (must do), 520 Burgers, Cimarron Café (coffee), Adobe House Inn (tex-mex off the hook), Four Corners (food and view) are all within walking distance. Don’t miss the Town Still which is also within walking distance. It’s super fun especially when Jessica is tending bar. The library is very close, as is, the river walk that literally goes for miles. We were fortunate enough to be there when the eagles arrived. Don’t forget the elk and the deer too! You are within a three minute drive from Orvis hot springs and a 15 min drive from Ouray hot springs. When you visit Ouray, go to Mouse’s (amazing coffee beans), Outlaw (amazing steak), O’Brian’s (fish/chips), Kristopher Culinaire (great kitchen store), Wildflower to visit their ‘Colorado’ made store, and stop in the yarn store to get Patty yak’s yarn. There is a terrific church in Ouray too – Ouray Christian Fellowship. You are only one hour’s drive from Telluride. CDOT does an amazing job of keeping the roads clear of the snow. Make sure you dine at the Telluride Bistro, take the free gondola ride over the mountains, and Needle Rock Fiberarts (yarn addicts’ paradise). You are so close to many hiking trails too: boots, cross country skis or snow shoes. The residents of this community only enhance your experience. Don’t forget to check out Rigg’s just ten seconds from the apartment for incredible fly fishing guides. There’s a bike shop within three minutes too. So, yes, the apartment was amazing – from the accommodations, to the owners, to the area. It’s an incredibly comfortable place to stay to recharge to get out and explore this off the hook part of the world.

  Perfect location in every way. Easy access to Ouray, Telluride and Montrose. Right in the middle of it all. Best grocery store within San Juans is right across the street. Owner is local and put a ton of work into her vacation home. Everything is stainless steel, brand new and very nicely decorated. Huge bath sheets, full kitchen, every amenity you can imagine. I have stayed in 25 different vacations homes over the years and would put this in the top 5. I was lucky to land in Ridgway... it was like a gateway location for the entire San Juans.

  The appartment was very very nicely appointed and well managed. Glo Spa, downstairs was great as well. We could walk to about everything in Ridgway, groceries, restaurants, entertainment even hiking trails. And the hostess was very helpfull with giving us inside tips on how to best enjoy our stay in the increadable area.

  We really like the inside and how close it is to everything in the town so if your a sound sleeper or are able to sleep with earplugs in, this is a great place. We don't know if this is normal for here, but a security alarm went off every night that we were there between 12:30 and 3am. We don't know where the alarm was coming from, but it was VERY close to the apartment and loud enough to scare us to death. That could have been just a fluke thing. Then, about 4am a large delivery truck pulled into the alley right next to our window. We hardly slept while we were there. It should also be noted that during business hours people working in a shop below access another room by going through the downstairs entryway. If you are a very private person, or have a dog that barks at the sound of people opening doors, this might not be for you. You can't see the people, as there is corner as you go down the stairs, but you can hear them walk through several times a day.

  Owner response: Well, this review came as a suprise to me. I have lived in the apartment on and off for 10 years now. I had never heard an alarm of any sort until about 1 month ago when I heard it. It is the security alarm in the resturant next door. I had renters in the apartment all winter and had no complaints of any sort. I belive that it was a alarm system malfunction and there is no constant alarm problems. The apartment is very nice, and getting nicer each year. Thanks for understanding, management.
