My husband + college age daughter just spent a long week-end in W. Palm scuba diving and LOVED staying at the Patio Island......it was CLEAN -CLEAN CLEAN !!! and for a "dive friendly" hotel, that is not always the case. The owner is friendly + informative on local attractions. The beach is a very easy walk. The bed was really comfy! The kitchen well appointed......it was just a great stay! And they allowed our dog to come on vacation also ! Good job, we will be back soon !Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
Owner response: We strive to make your stay at Patio Island Resort Cottages on Singer Island the most comfortable and enjoyable vacation of the the year. We pride ourselves on cleanliness and creating a wonderful Tropical setting for your pleasure. Please call or email us for any special needs that you have. Pets are welcome, just let us know in advance. Welcome to Paradise Allan Manager

This is our 2nd visit to 'Paradise' & that is just what it is. Located on Singer Island, it is smack in the middle of all kinds of neat places to eat, shop, enjoy the beach & water sports. Allen, the owner and his staff members George & Jimmy make you feel not like travelers, but rather like visiting royalty. They are more than attentive to every request & make you feel like your happiness is the most important thing in the whole world to them. The cottages are adorable, decorated in 'Old Florida' style - and very tastefully I might add. They are also clean, clean, clean. If your vacation plans include a trip to Singer Island, Paradise is a must try!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This is an old-style Florida hotel and cottage complex. It reminded me of a place my family lived in for a short while when I was a small child in the 60's. We stayed in cottage #1 for a week. The inside was clean and in good shape. It is has a fully equipped kitchen. There is one common washer and dryer for the complex, and though it was always empty when we went to use it, there was usually someone right behind us to use it. The Tiki hut is a nice touch, and several residents would sit outside in the evenings and socialize. Everyone is very friendly, both the staff and those staying there at the time. Though the most direct route to the complex takes you along the edge of a not-so-desirable area of Riviera Beach, once you cross the bridge onto Singer Island the neighborhood is better with condos, resorts and nice neighborhoods just past the complex. I never felt unsafe in the complex or neighborhood. The complex had ample parking available when I was there. A public beach is only a few minute walk away--no need to take your car unless you are lugging a lot of beach equipment. Though there minimal nicer or even chain restaurants within walking distance, driving north on Singer Island or on US 1 will get you to several within about 5-10 minutes. There are several small eateries in the immediate area, as well as a marina restaurant. The owners/managers are onsite and were very friendly, always asking if we needed anything when they saw us. This is not a high-class resort complex, but it is a well-run, well-kept economical facility that is worth the stay if you are on a budget, and based on that standard deserves 5 stars compared to comparable facilities.Did you find this review helpful? True to it's name it is a piece of " Paradise". I have made this the only place for my friends and I to stay when we visit Singer Island for SCUBA diving (the Blue Heron Bridge which is two blocks away, is in the top ten of dive spots in the USA). I have stayed here three times in the last few months and will return again, and again. The rooms are spotless, decorated in a Florida island theme, and very comphy beds. The whole property is very well maintained with a large tiki hut in the courtyard where everyone gathers to share there stories of the days activities. The property also has grills to cook your seafood catch of the day too. There are many great restaurants, bars, stores, and the beach within walking distance of the hotel. Allan the owner is very accomadating to your individual needs, just a phone call away when you need him if he is off property. He has always been helpful with recommendations of local activities happening in the area. I highly recommend this resort to everyone (as long as you leave a room for me)!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

was awesome!! relaxing!! hospitable!! the owner Alan was just super fantastic and really went out of his way several times in our 2 week stay to make all us feel welcomed. thank you so very much for that. i should mention that the crowd was a bit older and very quiet. which was okay with us. love + miss the tiki hut and bbqs!! its a little shady gettin to Singer Island + Riveria beach as the are just before is a little suspect, but the Cottages themselves were pleasant, clean and everything you could ask for in a get away spot. its very close to an awesome, quiet +clean family beach. I've seen many beaches, and Riveria beach was NICE!! theres a great walkin trail over to the inlet, make sure to ask Alan about it if that your thing. and the marina is worth checking out. also, right up the way is John MaCarthur (i think) park which was beautiful. the sushi place + Johnny Long Boats both served fantastic food. at reasonable prices. and the West Palm Beach Kennel Club's poker room is about 10 miles away if thats your thing. if your lookin for an awesome, affordable + relaxing get-a-way ...look no further.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

My in-laws from Poland, my wife, our 6 month old daughter, and I spent 5 nights recently. What a taste of Paridise! Clean rooms, quiet, awesome staff, and a great old Florida feel. We will be back and bring friends and family. Check it out you won't want to leave, we didn't! Thanks Allan! Tim (Royal Oak, MI)Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

We enjoyed our stay at Patio Island Resort on Singer Island very much. The directions were easy to follow and the accommodations were great! They had everything we needed; it is truly a home away from home. There were so many things to do and see and they were such a help with your recommendations of things to do and see. I have told all my friends what a great time Kathy and I had. Even Chelsea, our dog seemed to love the place. The beach was just a couple of blocks away and we managed to get there almost every day. The service was great and I was impressed on how well the Laundromat dryer worked. Most places it takes forever to get the clothes dry, not here, one time and they were done. Funny how the small things impress me! Our overall experience was excellent. It was very clean, and well maintained. I highly recommend this resort to all groups and age groups.?Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 6/6

My daughter (a college senior) and I wanted to spend a week at the beach without spending alot of money. Patio Island Resort fit the bill. We stayed in a Studio cottage with queen bed and sofa sleeper and large screen TV. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare simple meals and there are gas grills in the courtyard. There is a very pleasant tiki hut with lots of seating to enjoy coffee in the early morning, eat outdoors or mingle with other guests in the evening. Most guests in the other cottages were there for 2 or 3 months during the winter and all were very friendly. Allan, the proprieter, was always available for anything we needed and offered lots of info about things to do, places to eat, etc. We did not have a car but that was no problem as everything we needed, a small grocery, beaches, the marina and lakeside park and restaurants were all within walking distance. It wasn't fancy but it had all we needed for a relaxing time. We enjoyed our week there and would return anytime. In fact, I have recommended it as a great place for my parents to spend the winter months.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4
