Finally found a week to travel with my wife and two children and could not have picked a better place to enjoy some peace and tranquility with my family. The kids would get up every morning and either be fishing at the end of the dock or zooming around in the kayaks. Everyone kept themselves busy while my wife would read her books in the hammocks provided on the property. We stayed in the lagoon house and the kitchen was large and had everything we needed. The listing description was right on, old Florida charm with today's amenities. The home was very clean and loaded with cool nautical fixtures and charm. The master bedroom was directly facing the water and had great sunrises..We had day trips to La Playa beach, the air museum and Cape Canaveral which we all enjoyed..Coming from a big city, this was a change we were looking for..I'll be back !!.

Not really disappointed but yet not overly thrilled with the property. First, the town of Titusville offers nothing to do... it is literally a ghost town since NASA shut down majority of operations. Very depressing to drive around the area. Secondly, mainhouse has needs an uplift. Very dated in its furnishings. Main master bedroom has a queen/double and guest room has two twin beds (very small). Did not rest well any of the nights staying. While tranquil once in the lot with the main (very heavy) gate closed, the water was nice to sit by but windy at times. NASA vehicle assemly building looks closer than it is... its huge and is still some 15 miles across the bay from the house. If you want to go out to eat, very limited in the possibilities. Would suggest looking in Melbourne or further south or more north in Daytona.

My wife and I just stayed in the cottage while I was in the area for work last week. I wanted somewhere other than a hotel where my wife could spend the day comfortably and have activities to do. The little cottage fit the bill perfectly. Essentially a studio apartment, it had a small kitchen, restroom, and nice tv with satellite. I was disappointed that the wind kept the water too rough to take out the kayaks, but I was able to get some fishing in from the private pier where I caught a nice redfish, and the provided grill helped prepare excellent fresh-grilled redfish filets. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a secluded spot on the water. It's a little hiding place in the middle of plenty things to do.

Better than a Hotel
Better than a Hotel
I have been to the Lazy Redfish 2 times. The first time I rented the house for my wife and 2 kids. The 2nd time just the cottage for me and the Mrs. On the first visit were able to see a shuttle launch standing on the dock it was awesome! There is a boat ramp less than 5 minutes from the house so you drop the boat in and then leave it in the water at the dock behind the house. There is plenty of room to keep your trailer in the yard. We had a great couple of days catching redfish and trout a short run from the house. The house was clean with nice landscape. We had all the comforts of home from utensils & pots and pans in the kitchen, to flat screen TV's not to mention a washer and dryer. After our 1st visit I couldn't see ever getting a hotel room if we are in the area. The comfort of the house and the fact there is a dock for the boat is too good to pass up.

Cottage clean, quiet and comforable, the yard well looked after and very relaxing to sit and watch the river lap up on the rocks and enjoy the firepit. Pictures on the web site are so accurate. Owner met us there and was easy to keep in touch with should we have any problems. Only down side the hot tub was out of use and some of the cooking equipment in the kitchen could be updated. For anyone who likes nature great place to watch the squirrels playing chase and the coons come to visit, pelicans and ospreys diving for fish and to see the dolphins cruise by - lots of good size fish in the shallow waters off the pier. Good central location for Coco Beach, Daytona Beach and Disney World as well as the Space Centre and Museum. Great restaurant five minutes walk from the property. Hope we can get back some day.
