This house has open views of the bay from the front bedrooms and balcony, where you can watch the sunset and green flash. Have a relaxing cocktail or a refreshing ice tea or soda. Have a cup of morning coffee or tea. From the living/ dinning areas you have open views of the canal and beyond, the back patio is screened in and is a great place to also enjoy drinks, dinner or a book. This house is a CBS house has hurricane shutters, that can be open or closed to your liking. A new A/C, outside shower for rinsing off after a swim or snorkel in the canal. The seawall has a small reef at its base and lots of fish.. Manatees are common visitors to the canal they like a fresh drink of water. Right outside the inlet is a shallow reef, We are the 1st Canal from the bay, close to Tavernier cut for fast access to the ocean for diving fishing, snorkeling, having fun on the water.. Quiet area great neighbors.

Why the Owner Chose TavernierWe bought our house in Hammer Point for the area, neighbors, the Canal it is on is the lwidest cabal in the subdivision and simply for the awesome views that you get out of just about every window in the house. We could see more than the realtor could see for our future and this house. We have not regretted this purchase not even for a second, It has been a great second home and we love it. It felt like home the minute we walked in. So we bought it the next minute. We have made many upgrades and I am sure that we will make many more in the future but for now it is just right.
The Unique Benefits at this HouseWe enjoy sitting on either balcony morning, noon and night. Diving into the canal and snorkeling, or diving at the bottom it is pretty deep. Swimming and floating with the neighbors. Watching the sun come up and go down. Taking the boat out. Jet skiing, Fishing, Sitting under the Tiki Hut and relaxing. Watching passing storms on the bay. There is not really anything we do at this house that we do not like. We even enjoy keeping up with the repairs and yard. And yes it is work, but we enjoy it.

We bought this home in 2004 and have had many great times here and continue to do so now. We are always trying to make it better. We Retired In 2003 and try to maintain our homes in a problem, worry free manner so if it needs repair it gets it. We love to travel and meet new people and places. We Love dining in the Keys, there are some very amazing restaurants to eat at. Sunsets are so serene and amazing. In the winter there are people from everywhere here in our subdivision as well as the surrounding areas. Our neighbors are the best and so helpful. We really love to just come to the keys and do absolutely nothing or everything that's what makes it so much fun. We have never had anyone say I hate it here in fact our friends come often.

Relaxing in the Keys

This was our first visit to the Keys and we really enjoyed our stay in your home. The house was beautiful and we agree with other reviewers about the spectacular views!! We enjoyed going down to the canal each morning with our coffee, to see the manatees playing in the water. We dined out, made our own meals and thoroughly enjoyed our time with our kids. The only negative was the distance to Key West so we may opt to stay closer there some time in the future. However, if you want a quiet getaway this home is definitely worth considering. Owner response:Each key has something positive to offer here in the Florida Keys and Key West is def. worth the drive and visit, so much to do and to see. I always try to encourage all travelers who have not been to Key West to take a couple days out of there schedule and go or help to find a suitable place to stay while there. Manatees in the canal are always such a special visitor here in the keys we also look forward to seeing them and watching out for them.

We had a wonderful stay over the Holidays at Danny and Penny's home! They were great to work with and very accomodating. The house is absolutely pristine and fitted our needs perfectly. It is a great location, accessible to restaurants and activities by land or water. It is located in a very nice and friendly neighborhood. We hope to stay again over the summer! I was taken aback when I got there the entire place was much better than the pictures, you just have to be ther to understand. We had the best time and played so hard. I felt like I was at home exceot no worries and work. Thanks I loved it and can not wait to come back. Everything we needed and more close to everything and yet felt so far away, great neighborhood,quiet, elaxing and right on the water. No matter what room I was in I could look out and see water. The sunsets are to die for. House was spotless when we arrived and nice and cool. We traveled all around the keys by boat and by car we enjoyed every momentof our stay. The owners went out of there way to help us, right down to late night calls from us about things to do next day. They had flers for just about everything you could think of doing. Really a neat place to stay.
Owner response:We try to keep current flyers and menues for the surrounding area so each guest has options. We also try to put a few inteesting flyers out for things that require a little thought and maybe a day trip for example to KeY West and Fort Jefferson at the Dry Tortougas as well as snorkeling around the keys. WE are mor than willing to be of assistance when ver possible. We want everyone to feel at home and relax.

What a lovely home. The pictures do not do the place justice.. Its even BETTER.. surely exceeded our high expectatons. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone... We have a boat and enjoyed being right on the water. So thankful for such a nice rental, and the Landlords were very acommodating. Truly enjoyed our Stay.

This house is delightful. In a nice neighborhood and fronts on to a canal where you can observe the manatees and use a boat with ease. The house has water views from every room. It is well equipped and nicely furnished. It is centrally located between Maimi and Key West. There are plenty of good restaurants as well as easy shopping close by. We enjoyed our stay very much.
