  Property was exactly as pictured in the listing...and more beautiful than expected.the condo complex was nice...and the beach was just 20 ft. From our lanai.pool was nice and beach was small but sandy and lovely. Best of all....the beautiful turtles that were swimming in the water just in front of condo...one actually came up on beach...we all loved them. Snorkeling was great right off our beach as there was a beautiful reef 100 ft off shore and we saw lots of fish and the turtles up very close. Location was good...close to town..and kanapalli beach...and close to two beautiful beaches 5 miles north...Napili and kapalua.. Best of all...the people staying or owning other condo,s in complex were very friendly and helpful. We really loved our vacation and intend to come back soon...aloha...gini and Gary smith

• FABULOUS VACATION!

  This was by far, the most fantastic vacation my husband and I have ever had. It all started by walking into this condo and being subjected to the most beautiful scenery that was so surreal. In our first few moments walking out to the lanai we saw islands, mountains, turtles and even better, Whales! This condo is so convenient to just about everything, beautiful park, fantastic farmers market, coffee shops, shopping, and all within walking distance. The condo was equipped with everything one might need, washer and dryer was so convenient! We decided to stay in one night and cook out on the barbecue grill that the complex supplies, it's right down by the beach and pool we had so much fun and met such nice people. I can't say enough about our stay here, it was truly a perfect vacation!

  Sad to say, the unit was not as advertised. The unit was filthy, with mold growing in the bathtub, the top of the dryer was all dust. The bedding smelt musty, and the unit did not seem professionally cleaned, prior to our arrival. Further, while it is true that this unit is on the coast, please be aware the 'gentle rolling' waves that are advertised, can actually be 'pounding waves into the retaining wall', that makes sleeping very difficult. As for privacy, two adjoining lanai's look directly into this units bedroom. Definitely no privacy, and no romance. I would not recommend this unit, based on our experience.

  Owner response: It is sad to say that a guest who left our unit after ONE night and NEVER called or complained at the time, would write such an UNFAIR review as the above. We have NEVER had a negative complaint in the 13 years I have owned my condos. The first we heard from this guest was AFTER his vacation with these complaints.I asked the guest why he did not call our manager,who lives 5 minutes from the condo and I was told "Why bother. We didn't want to spend the time that it would take to address these issues." Needless to say, we could not respond as we were never given a chance to see if ANY of the allegations were fair. We have an on site manager available to our guests at ALL times. Our cleaning staff cleans this unit after EVERY guest departs. All linens and bedspread are washed after each guest. I believe the real problem with our condo is that it sits directly on the ocean and I believe this disturbed the client as the noise of the waves were too loud for their taste. Fortunately, most of our guests welcome the sound of the waves and the fact that this unit is directly on the ocean as advertised. Regarding the privacy this person alleges does not exist, I would beg to differ. Our master bedroom leads to the lanai and one can see down the whole coast when the drapes are open. However, we provide DRAPES so that our clients can have privacy when they want it. There is only ONE unit directly next door to ours. We have never had a complaint about privacy before.I do know that many of our clients comment on the ROMANCE that this condo offers. It has been professionally decorated with the idea that many couples are coming for their honeymoon or vacation. As I told this guest when he finally called, that he should have immediately called our contact person and manager with the number we provide so that she could address ANY issues this person had. This was not done. According to our on site person the condo was immaculate. The only legitimate complaint was that there was dust in the dryer filter which of course was immediately cleaned out. I have been doing this since 2000 and have had multiple condos on Maui, Kauai, The Big Island and Oahu. All of our guests over 13 years have commented on how clean and lovely the condos have been.I think a guest has a responsibility to the owner to complain when they are IN THE UNIT and CALL so we can see if this is a legitimate complaint and address it. We have been booked solid for 4 months. Only compliments!! Susan Kimmelman

  My husband and I just returned from a week in Maui. We stayed at this condo the entire week and it was outstanding. The condo is part of a small complex ( only 28 units) which meant it was quiet and we had no problem parking. The condo is exactly as described in the listing, right on the ocean, with beautiful views from the living room and bedroom, and of course the lanai, where we ate breakfast, everyday and some lunches and dinner too, watching the turtles and a beautiful sunset each evening. There is small beach for snorkeling, and a pool too. Walking distance to shopping. Located just north of Kaanapali Beach, we were central to everything we wanted to do on Maui. Susan was great to work with in booking the condo, and she provided very good directions and helpful hints for our stay. I would definitely recommend this property, and we plan to return next year.

  Had a wonderful visit to Maui. The condo was perfect. Very comfortable, and set up just right. My wife and I spent relaxing mornings and evenings watching the turtles from the deck with a glass of wine. What a romantic week!!! Wish we could have stayed longer. We highly recomment it.   We stayed at this property in January, 2011 and our time on Maui was outstanding. We found the condo to be clean and in good shape. All appliances and amenities were as advertised and all were in good working order. The location was convenient to shops, market, drug and grocery stores and more. Restaurants and shops dot the entire area up and down the coast and the town of Lahaina is a short distance away and has everything a modest sized town offers. There is a small sand beach suitable for sunbathing or wading. From our lanai we watched whales spout in the waters between Maui and Molokai and turtles came to our beach every evening just before sunset to feed. The unit is not air conditioned which was not a problem in January and with windows open and fans running we were more than comfortable at night. With windows open the sound of the surf was very relaxing and we slept like babies every night. We would return to this property the next time we come to Maui and would recommend the place to anyone planning to visit.

  Thank you for your lovely review. Please come back again. I agree that the whales spouting and the giant sea turtles are amazing. I've owned 13 condos over the past 11 years and this is truly one of my most favorite places on earth! To be so close to the ocean and to be lulled to sleep each night is certainly one of the reasons I bought Nohonani 204. I also love just staring out at the turquoise sea and have spent countless hours sipping coffee or having a nice cool drink at sunset while I gaze at the setting sun. I honestly feel the views are incredible. You could spend four times as much to stay at The Ritz Carlton just up the road and not have nearly as good of a view or proximity to the water. Also, I feel my condo offers a lot more space than even a luxurious hotel. I try to keep my prices on the low side so that we constantly get referrals from guests such as yourself.I try to offer more than my guests are expecting and I usually succeed. It is very appreciated that you took the time to write about your stay. I hope others read your review and realize there is a little piece of Paradise waiting for another couple to enjoy. One guest told me that a week at my condo beat out ten trips to a therapist! That's how refreshed she felt after a week at our condo. Another told me they loved the feeling of being in the South Pacific that they got when they looked at the decor. I have tried to make this vacation rental very special thru interesting island art and the lovely sea grass furniture that is typical of Hawaii and Tahiti. Most of all, I love making my guests happy and giving them a trip, honeymoon, anniversary or whatever, that they have dreamt about, often for years. That is a good feeling for me. The emails and pictures I get from my guests after they returned from a wonderful stay makes my job a true pleasure!

  I spent almost two weeks at this beautiful spot, and it was the perfect vacation. The condo is just lovely -- beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and immaculate. It was so quiet and peaceful -- with the only sound being the ocean, which is right outside! In fact, this condo is located right on the ocean, overlooking Molokai and Lanai -- and the views absolutely could not be better. Whales swimming by and spouting, and huge sea turtles almost at the shore were common sights. I hope to go back some day for another vacation in paradise!

  The tropical decor, canopy bed and waves crashing day and night was a perfectly romantic setting for our honeymoon. There was nothing better than watching the beautiful sunrise right from our bed, and watching the sunset while eating dinner on the lanai. Also out on the lanai, you could almost always find some animal playing around in the water just feet away. The convenience of having a full kitchen in the unit, helped make it possible to spend more money on adventures!! We loved it here... Thank you Susan!
