House & location are just not done justice in the photos! Sucluded, quite, beautiful in every way! House was spottless & has beautifully kept wood throughout. Watched whales for hours from the front deck. Water out front was perfect for our son to play. Thank you so very much for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Our family of 4 stayed in Hale Kai in June 2011 and loved it. There was plenty of room in each bedroom. We enjoyed playing family games and relaxing in the great room. The kitchen is wonderful. Most of all, we loved being on the North Shore. Everything is so lush and beautiful. We visited 1 or 2 beaches every day and enjoyed snorkeling, especially at Tunnels Beach. We would highly recommend Hale Kai!

We are so thankful to have found this wonderful rental home at the end of a quiet road on Annini Beach. This part of Anini Beach is quiet. We often found ourselves alone on the beach. Snorkeling is excellent right in front of the house. The ocean is very calm and great for kids of all ages. When we wanted waves and surfing, we made a short drive (5-7 minutes) to Hanalei. The house was perfect. The bedrooms were large and the beds/linens were very nice. The kitchen was modern and was stocked with all the supplies necessary. One bathroom has a huge shower and a pleasure to use. There is nothing lacking. (There is even more than they claim. Wireless internet too!) The yard was very large and beautiful. We ate grapefruit and tangarines from the trees in the yard. I would highly recommend renting this home on this beach. It is perfect!

We spent our 20th Anniversary on Kauai 4 years ago and we knew we definitely had to bring our kids back. They both just graduated from high school and college this May (they are 18 and 22). We stayed at Hale Kai June 14th through June 22nd. The pictures just do not do it justice. Paradise, serenity, peacefulness and complete awe were what hit our family. We had the most amazing week on Kauai. We were always anxious to get back to the house and just hang out with each other. This was our first full vacation together in over 4 years and it was money well spent. The memories are truly priceless. Our kids are already wanting to come back. The house had everything we could possibly need. I would have to say the sunsets completely took our breath away. Our daughter had never seen one quite that close with such vibrant colors. She spent hours finding the tiniest complete shells we had ever seen. This truly was the best vacation we ever had. Thank you Bob and Dotty for sharing your beautiful home.

Our stay at Hale Kai was spectacular. The house and beach were a perfect fit for our kids, ages 1-8. The house is well stocked with all the necessities for a family like ours. We enjoyed some time at Anini, snorkeling at He'e, Smith's luau and frequent trips to Hanelei. We'll definitely be back.

We have stayed at hale Kai three times over the last 12 years. If we could we would stay there every year. Talk about Nirvana!! We want to be there right now!! Serenity, beauty, convenience, it is the entire package!!

We loved our stay at Hale Kai! The house was everything we wanted. The bedrooms were large and comfortable and the kitchen was modern and stocked with all the supplies we needed. The lanai was our favorite place to hang out with a great view of the ocean. The backyard had fruit trees - we enjoyed the fresh avocados! The ocean was perfect for our two small children since the water was shallow and calm. This was our first time staying on the North Shore of Kauai, and we loved it! Not as crowded or touristy as the other parts of the island. Very laid back. We will definitely come back and stay at Hale Kai!

Hale Kai is a fantastic place for family or friends to gather. The house is well equipped, very clean, and conveniently located to enjoy all the beauty that is Kauai. Our stay with our 2 daughters and their families was perfect. We all enjoyed the beach out our front door and all the amenities of Hale Kai. Bob and Dotty are very helpful and friendly and provide everything you could possibly want from a beach house. We all loved our stay there and do hope to return soon.

Our 7th time to stay in this wonderful home. Dotty and Bob are the best. The house is the best. The view is spectular. We feel like it is our home away from home. We have already booked our dates for 2008 which really says it all.

We enjoyed our 10-day stay at Hale Kai. The house is very comfortable, with plenty of space for 6 of us. Location is great. We watched the whales from the deck and the dining table. We appreciated the DVD player on the few rainy days we had. THe kitchen is well equipped, even satisfying my brother who is a SERIOUS cook. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. I would certainly like to return again, and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Once again we had a wonderful time staying in Hale Kai in the last week of July. We love the quietness of the area, and we love the beach and the ocean. We had family staying at another house down the road, and Hale Kai was very well equipped and comfortable for everyone to get together there for dinner a couple of times. My wife, daughter, and I have been to Kauai a number of times over the years and have stayed at different houses and hotels in the Poipu area, the Wailua area, and Anahola. We like the Hale Kai best, both the house itself and the area.

It was our first trip to Kauai. We could not have picked a better place. The North Shore of Kauai is spectacular. Bob and Dotty set up Hale Kai very nice. It was better than the pictures showed on the website. Everything we needed and more was supplied. The property was very neat to explore, all kinds of fruit trees and flowers. The reef right across the street, the birds, and geckos was all the entertainment we need. It was very quiet and secluded. I hope to return to this property one day very soon. Mahalo nui loa.

This was our first stay at Hale Kai, hopefully not our last. The house is exceptionally well equipped, especially the kitchen. We loved sitting on the lanei and watch the birds, whales and the waves crash on the reef. What a beautiful location!!! The beds are confortable and the roosters make sure one does not oversleep and miss half the vacation. Everything is super clean and well maintained. A great 16 days, even in the rain.
