  My wfe and I booked 3 months in this unit in 2013. The proximity to the Pool is the big selling factor, but we enjoyed the laundry in the unit, the private back yard and the big screen T.V. with a recorder box. The Kitchen is open and the dining area is big enough to seat six comfortably. One drawback is because of the location of the unit, the Kitchen area tends to be dark. There are many lights to help with this. We have booked for next year already.

  Recommended for: Pet owners, age 55+.

  I brought my family here from Iowa and we had an amazing time. The condo is more luxurious than you can tell by the pictures. The condo was neat and clean and we were checked in by a courteous property manager. Each bedroom sleeps 2 and each bedroom has its own full bathroom attached. There's also a washer/dryer in the unit and a queen-sized sleeper sofa in the living room. The condo is right next to the pool and gas grills. Our dog was able to play in the fenced-in back yard. Even the parking spot is right next to the condo. Overall +++ and we plan on making this our yearly vacation spot!

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, pet owners, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, sightseeing.

  We rented this place all of February and March -- going back for 3.5 months this year! Place was very well maintained and featured what we saw in photos -- comfortable and clean! Owners were very helpful and friendly --- we would recommend it to family and feriends in a heartbeat. Pool is mere steps from front door. Great restaurants within minutes; lots of shopping and my wife dragged me to every mall! Super golf courses nearby as well. Felt really secure -- place was quiet with tennis courts and basketball courts, as well as pool and hot tub....

  Recommended for: Pet owners, age 55+, sightseeing.

  In what should have been the worst time of year to visit Palm Springs (August!), my wife and I and one other couple enjoyed a quiet relaxing weekend at this condo at Sandstone Villas. The weather was perfect and so was the condo! You can tell the complex is older, but everything had been recently refinished, such as the stucco, the pool, etc. When we entered the condo however, you could tell a lot had been done to refurbish the interior. You can always put nice furniture and art in a dumpy condo or cabin to freshen it up, but the cabinets and counters will still look old and worn. With this condo, the flooring, the tile work, as well as the counters were new looking and were an obvious upgrade from it's original condition. About the "quiet"! I realize that Palm Springs has smaller crowds during the peak heat times of the year, but still...this condo complex at times felt like we were the only ones there. In fact, we enjoyed the pool to ourselves the whole weekend. This truly is a great condo to stay at if you like a comfortable, quiet, slightly-off-the-beaten-path place to stay! I would highly recommend it!! You are just a mile or two from down-town and everything is easy to get to. If there was one down side, it was the parking...a little tight! We drove a Yukon XL and it had it's challenges, but not a big deal.
