The Orcas Treehouse was a beautiful property with an Awesome view. It was quite and remote enough to feel you were away from the everyday life, convenient and easy to find, with Pam's excellent directions. We played cards and enjoyed the music, played with "Geeza" who was content to be fed in the mornings and talked to for a while but went about her business most the time we were there. He home is inviting and very comfortable. We had an Awesome time. Thanks,Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

The Orcas Tree House is truly a unique home to stay. The views are spectacular with a clear view of the mountains, water, ferry, and wildlife. The home is very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen along with spices, which made it easy to cook. We also enjoyed the music selection, so many CD's to choose from. The atmosphere of the treehouse and the surrounding area makes for a memorable experience you will treasure for a long time.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

We recently stayed here for a long weekend, and couldn't have asked for a better location or house. We travel a good bit, and frequently rent houses through VRBO. This has by far been one of the best. The house was spotless and had everything we could possible need/want...including two very sweet kitties, and was within 10 minutes of Eastsound, Moran State Park, Doe Bay, Orcas Island Pottery, etc. We highly recommend this wonderful Tree House.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.

What a beautiful home you have up here in the trees! Our family has rented many vacation homes over the years and yours will certainly go down as one of our favorites! We certainly enjoyed ourselves this week, exploring the island, hiking in Moran State Park and traveling to Friday Harbor one day. The highlight of our trip was a whale watching trip we took out of Orcas with Eclipse Charters where we saw 3 pods of orcas, numbering about 85 in all!Did you find this review helpful? Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home. It was definitely more than we had imagined. The website does not do justice to the gorgeous views. We loved sitting at the kitchen table, enjoying our morning coffee and watching the ferries. It was really nice to stay in a home where some actually lives. We enjoyed your books and music collection. We cooked quite a bit and the kitchen had everything we needed. This house is obviously very well thought out - the natural lighting (including the skylight in the shower) is SO NICE.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

“We’re enchanted by your charming home and beautiful setting. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay on our first trip to Orcas. Thanks for opening up your home to others like this. By the way, we love your artwork – the paintings the quilts, stained glass, weavings and pottery. They all make your home very special.”Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

“From the setting’s grandeur to the smallest detail, we loved your home! We were in awe from the second we arrived to the moment of now departing. Thanks for sharing your respite with us. Your art is magnificent! I would buy every piece if I could. We hope to return someday, but we’ll always treasure our time here in eternal memories. Our kids loved Gator and Geeza, the deer were precious, the view spectacular! Thank you for the suggestions in our blue book!”Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/1

About the owner: Pam came to Orcas Island 26 years ago, drawn to the beauty and peacefulness of the island, and has been very fortunate to do what she most loves - teaching kindergarten children and painting. She is now a "grand" teacher - teaching children of her former kindergarten students, and you'll find her original, pastel, landscape paintings and quilted wall hangings adorning the walls of the Tree House. Thirteen years ago, Pam got to design and help build this home. While not actually a "tree house" in a tree, the house is perched on a knoll that slopes off on 3 sides. As you look out one of the many windows, you find yourself looking into the trees. The house combines her love of Craftsman-Style bungalows with her desire since childhood to have a tree house of her own. She is excited about getting to share her good fortune in living in such a beautiful place with others.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
As a landscape painter, I love looking at the ever-changing light on the meadow of douglas fir tree tops below me and the water and mountains. This is a very quiet and private perch to watch the eagles, hawks, woodpeckers, swallows and deer from.
