Paris Arrondissement 10 apartment description
An 18th century building in a calm street a few meters from an incredibly lively neighborhood, where world culture is everywhere. Cafés, bars, trendy restaurants and bistros live next to traditional fruit and vegetable stands, wine shops and traditional restaurants.
Discovering the triplex you will come across a few surprises! Firstly the flat is 170m2 with a huge living room with lovely book shelves an old chimney, big sofas and an old parquet floor: A large bedroom for the parents with its own en suite bathroom. At the end of a corridor a charming quiet little bedroom looks on to the courtyard, but the nicest room is the kitchen, a mixture of design and bric a brac antiques even a crazy fan designed by Starck.
In the kitchen you will notice a staircase : where does it take you? to the second floor of the flat, where you will find 2 children's bedrooms each with double beds.
Another staircase another floor? yes, one more room with a convertible bed for two: A hide away for the parents with a view on to the roof tops of Paris, just as if you were in an American musical shot in Paris !!!! This is a flat, but you can live in it as if you were in a house.

Not exactly what we expected
Not exactly what we expected
We stayed at this apartment for a week. There are some distinct good and not so good aspects to the place. On the plus side the owners are great, very friendly and helpful and the large apartment is in an OK neighborhood with good Metro connections to central Paris (15mins). This apartment is however basically a family home that appeared to have been vacated by the owners on the day we arrived. If you can imagine walking into a friend’s house, with all of their personal possessions intact – pictures, music, bank statements, closets full of clothes, half eaten food in the fridge, a pile of laundry needing to be done, trash waiting to be removed, toothbrushes, shavers and medicines in the bathroom, etc then this is what we found. While the place was not dirty, it hardly felt clean and it was nothing close to what we were expecting from the description on VRBO. Sadly, the place has great potential as a rental but it needs some serious remodeling and cleaning up.
