Everything from the initial inquiry to our arrival was exceptional. The service was exceptional and would say one of the best we have ever received from a VRBO property owner. The VRBO listing is exceptionally and detailed which assisted us in making our decision to book as well the amazing speed of the reply to our inquiry. The space, the food-beverage extras along with the service, rate a 5 out of 5. Will highly recommend it to others.

We highly recommend this VRBO Suite. It is very convenient to Metro and all the tourist spots, but is located on a quiet street with a nice terrace. The host is very helpful, but not intrusive. His snacks, beverages, breakfasts, and Saturday brunch were very tasty. There were no extra charges or taxes. The accommodations were fine - wifi, tv, kitchen, and bed all first rate. Close to good neighborhood restaurants and a nearby supermarket for cooking in. It is a good value and exceeded our expectations.

This was the first time my husband and I have used vrbo. Micheal spoiled us with all the personal service, delicious continental breakfasts, etc. We loved coming "home" to a clean apartment, with wine and beer waiting in the fridge! It was a fantastic experience! Micheal helped us with usefuly information on using the Metro (very easy), recommending places to visit, etc. We have been telling everyone about this place, and that this is the place to stay in Montreal!

After deciding to visit Montreal for our 35th wedding anniversary, we went on VRBO to book accommodations. We came across Michael's 'Montreal Boutique' and after reading the descriptions and viewing the pictures, we knew it was just perfect for us. We were not disappointed! Upon our arrival, Michael met out right outside and helped us with our luggage (golf clubs & fishing poles included). Each morning we were treated to a delicious breakfast that satisfied us until dinner time. We especially enjoyed breakfast on the terrace, and evenings sitting out and enjoying the night sky. The selection of music and movies were great as well. The apartment was very clean and well-maintained. Anyone interested in visiting Montreal, you must consider this location for your stay. Close to the park and the Metro stop, it was an ideal location. Thanks to Michael and his gracious hospitality, it is a place we will definitely come back to... and recommend it to family and friends.

My partner and I just needed a weekend away, so we booked this cozy little apartment in Montreal for a few days. Michael came through on everything he promised. We arrived and Michael was there to greet us. He showed us around, gave us fantastic recommendations about the city, and gave us a thorough tour of the apartment, and fixed us some vegetarian sushi and salad....which was a very refreshing change after train food! We had a bite and a beer out on the deck and enjoyed the weekend to follow. The place is in the middle of the village in Montreal, which is steps from a wonderful vibrant neighborhood. And despite being in that neighborhood, it is very quiet at night! It is a 4 minute walk from 2 metro stations, so you can basically get wherever you want. It is also very close to a grocery store, and the kitchen is fully equipped. Michael will put this fantastic brunch in your fridge everyday (and it's different every day!) and give you beverages, which will prevent you from having to buy a lot of stuff at the grocery store that you wouldn't use (like a 6 pack of soda or something). It's the best!! Michael is helpful and on call too, but he won't bug you either. I appreciate Michael's attention to detail within the unit....He even hung umbrella's for those of us that had forgotten them and kept everything in perfect order. The property was clean, well maintained, perfect for 2 people, great tv with tons of movies, centrally located, and awesome. Please stay there! I would highly, highly recommend it.

The place matched the descriptions on the VRBO site and we agreed with the other reviewers who gave it five stars. Pleasant, well-maintained space. Great location. All in all, it was a wonderful place to stay and Michael (the host) went out of his way to be considerate and helpful. We appreciated his compilation of nearby sights and places to eat.

Montreal was an incredible experience to celebrate our 30th anniversary due to the superb accomodations at the apartment. A personal greeting after a long flight with a sushi lunch was perfect. Each day after our ventures with the experienced "michael guide" we would come "home" to look and see what surprise was in the fridge and then retire on the deck for a cold beer and cards. The apt had all we needed and was peaceful even though it is in a busy part of town. The location was perfect for walking to old town or hopping the metro. We will recommend it to our friends. Thankyou!

Owner response: Thank you for sharing your experience. I was very pleased to hear that your experience was incredible for your anniversary celebration. Nice to hear that the apartment and deck was a daily peaceful experience along with the complimentary food and beverage items in your fridge.

I spent four or five days by myself at this lovely quiet apartment. It is in a great neighborhood, the Village, which centers on a long pedestrian mall in the summer. It is a half hour walk to the festival neighborhood, which was just right for me. From morning until evening there are people out and about, and this apt is across from a beautiful park. The apartment is a railroad flat, essentially one long room for the living and sleeping area and a nice separate kitchen and bath and a lovely patio in the back. It was great for me, quiet, very clean and snug. For two people who share a bed it would work fine as well. Michael met me and got my car squared away. He is very upfront that it is not a great place if you need to use your car during your visit. He was helpful and courteous when I arrived, helping to get me oriented. He left me breakfast every day and brunch on the weekend, something fresh and light each day. The place is well stocked with beer, soda, breakfast food good coffee and a coffee maker, fresh milk. In general you could have a nice breakfast each morning and a beer or two to relax each evening, though I was running enjoying montreal most of the time. The neighborhood is filled with restaurants and coffee shops and is not far from downtown. There are metro stops right near by, and the bike rental system has 2-3 stations within a few hundred meters. And of course, if you can be there for the jazz festival and Canada day, as I was, then there are many concerts and wonderful fireworks on the river. All in all a delightful stay, I am grateful to Michael, and I would gladly recommend this to someone visiting Montreal.

My husband and I recently stayed in Micheal's apartment for a week. Grocery shopping and the subway were just a couple of blocks away. The apartment was lovely and comfortable. Micheal's breakfasts and personal attention were the highlight of our stay. He is very knowledgeable about the city, and his restaurant recommendations were spot on! We'll definitely stay here again the next time we visit.

From the earliest planning stages of our vacation we were in good hands with Michael! He answered all our questions and gave us insightful information about the city that helped make our decisions easier. We had no trouble with the drive, in large part because we followed Michael's directions instead of relying on GPS! We didn't have to worry about the car at all, and it was even pointed the right direction to head out of the city when we departed (thank you!). The condo is ideally situated near Metro stops, a very decent grocery, a park, and a pedestrian street - great for long lunches and people watching. Regarding the condo itself, everything was as advertised. The kitchen and bath had all the essentials. The laundry proved useful when we got caught out in the rain more than once. The terrace was perfect for breakfasts and playing cards over drinks in the evening. We watched a couple movies from the extensive DVD collection. The towels and linens, and everything really, were all quite clean and well kept. Our only recommendation as far as accomodations was the very firm bed. After a week, the firmness caught up with us! An optional pillowtop add-on may be worth getting for those guests who like a little more cush to their mattress. The food was amazing. From the refreshing welcome lunch to the delicious breakfasts each morning, from omelettes to Belgian waffles, from the excellent coffee to the specially prepared offerings to accomodate dietary restrictions, with the freshest of fruits every day, we couldn't have been more delighted by the food! All in all, this was an excellent stay, we had an ever thoughtful host, and we can't wait to return to explore other parts of Montreal. We know where we will be staying! Thanks, Michael!!!

For potential guest that are considering on staying with us I would like to mention that we have added a Quality Memory Foam Pillow Top to the bed for guests that prefer the extra softness they may have on their bed at home. Just yesterday my husband, Rafael, and I were reminiscing about our wonderful experience at Michael's B&B this last June...as I was flashing back to all of the delectable snacks and meals Michael replenished/prepared daily, (almost in a magical fairy godmother sort of way), I suddenly remembered that I had never left a review! Shame on me. Tiens, voila: Regarding the planning process, everything went smoothly; Michael is extremely helpful and expedient with all emails/questions we had. Location could not have been more central or pedestrian friendly; train station a short walk away. Upon arrival, Rafael and I had already been traveling for a week/+ and were exhausted, but Michael's warm greeting accompanied by delicious "snacks" (nearly a meal + dessert) and a much appreciated glass of chilled white wine on a beautiful balcony surrounded by trees quickly brought us back to life. Actually, just stepping in to the apartment I nearly forgot my exhaustion; the space was not only inviting and immaculate, but so creatively and thoughtfully designed. I think I took about an hour to just microscopically admire each detail of the space he designed. (Okay, admittedly, I actually did that every day of the stay and ended up video taping a tour of the space.) The selection of refreshment options was astounding, and more so, the fact that Michael replenishes everything daily I found to be quite generous. Loved the bath/shower amenities and washer/dryer were also very convenient. Michael's knowledge base of the city, particularly acute insight in to the city's culinary gems, is expansive, and I found him to be exceptionally adept at customizing the guest experience to our particular interests and priorities. Despite our luck with the heavy rain during a good bit of our stay, Rafael and I found that we were actually excited just to stay in some days and looked forward to the surprises Michael prepared for us each day. Rafael was particularly impressed with Michael's expansive collection of movies and music. :) All in all, Rafael and I both came to the conclusion that it would be pretty impossible to find a better quality and better situated space for the price, which Rafael and I found to be more than reasonable. We could not have had a better experience and look forward to hopefully getting to stay at Michael's again (if it is not booked) on our next trip to Montreal! Enjoy your trip! You will not be disappointed. Merci beaucoup, Michael!

The listing description matched what was offered. The pictures were accurate as well the offered amenities. Very clean and well maintained. Top quality furniture and entertainment systems. The owner Michael helped us with our luggage and explained the the workings of the place along with suggestions for sites and restaurants, couldn't have been any better than it was. Will return for a summer experience and will definitely recommend it to others. Everything was perfect from his phone call for the booking to our arrival and departure. Would say the other reviews were part of the reason why we choose this particular rental and felt it was the best vrbo experience we have had from the numerous years we have been using the Vrbo Site..

Montreal Boutique was an excellent alternative to staying in a hotel. The accommodations were very nice and accurately described. The Sunday brunch was so good as were the daily breakfasts and fruit plates. We couldn't have found a better location. The Boutique Suite is truly a wonderful place to stay and the amenities are beyond expectations. Perfectly located a couple of blocks from the Metro and a Bixi stand and one block from the Rue St Catherine (in the heart of the Village neighborhood), the suite has access to many restaurants, bars and cafes. The little cafe next door is great, but you only have to travel to the kitchen to find a wonderful selection of hot and cold beverages. The park across the street is tranquil. clean and offers a nice view from the front window. It appears Wednesday is the day for the die-hard Petanque players. Amenities and location aside, our host was most welcoming. Our travel plans were completely altered by the airline, so we weren't able to arrive until 11:30pm. After a nine hour delay we were still greeted with fresh sushi and a delicious salad. This and the wine along with an excellent array of maps and local info were refreshing to say the least! The owner provided us with destinations and sights from a local perspective. We were able to enjoy the 'mainstream' attractions and get off of the beaten path to see Montreal from a slightly different angle. As former owners and hosts of a VRBO property, we know just how much work goes into creating a welcoming and comfortable stay. The Boutique Suite does this in a way that seems both luxurious and effortless. The 'Continental' breakfasts and weekend brunch were anything but pedestrian. We are vegetarians, and we were treated to a different meal each morning. From the famous Montreal Bagels (with a full fruit tray and fresh preserves) to the local Fish & Potato Cakes (without the fish of course) the food was delicious and creative. We never left out for our daily adventures hungry! If you're considering a stay in Montreal, we highly recommend the Boutique Suite! The location is great, the neighborhood is quiet but only steps from dining and nightlife and the amenities are first rate. We'll definitely be returning in the future! Michael couldn't have been a more pleasant host. From the first email contact to our arrival in Montreal, Michael was professional, courteous and welcoming. The suite was comfortable, clean, spacious and very well appointed. Michael provided an excellent, varied list of things to see and do while in Montreal. We visited some of the suggested farmers markets (yes, we too cooked in-suite a couple evenings), grocery stores, restaurants and tourist attractions. Our evenings were spent on the terrace enjoying a glass of complimentary wine or beer after a day of sightseeing. The suite is located close to metro transit stops and a taxi stand only a half block away. We appreciate that Michael gave us our privacy, but he was also available if we had questions, which of course we did. This was our first VRBO experience, and if Michael is a typical host we'll be visiting other VRBO rentals in the future. Thank you Michael for an excellent first time experience in the beautiful city of Montreal. We're still looking for those ready-made breakfasts to be in our home refrigerator. :)

Why spend your precious time looking for a better place to stay? This place has it all. Close to the Metro, a well-stocked grocery store & great restaurants. Michael will show you how to get around the city, where to eat, shop and great areas to walk around. The suite is so comfortable that we actually bought food at the grocery store and stayed in for the night, twice! After all, we had walked the entire day and enjoyed great lunches. The people of Montreal were charming and helpful. We looked forward to our self-catered breakfasts, each one of them delicious and always served with fresh fruit. Wine, beer, Cokes, water, tea or lemonade were stocked in the fridge daily. The robes and slippers, the selection of movies, the wide screen tv, the jacuzzi tub, the quiet neighborhood, the cleanliness of the spacious boutique all added to our wonderful experience at the Montreal Boutique. Our stay in Montreal last week was absolutely perfect. We have used vrbo.com in the past in various cities, and I always look at the reviews before booking an apartment. This is one of the reasons we chose the Montreal Boutique Suite- what fabulous things people have said! And, our expectations were even exceeded, from the moment we arrived. The apartment is charming and perfect- very cozy and yet spacious. We were amazed at everything Michael provided: delicious gourmet breakfasts every morning, wine, beer, pastries, cereals, coffee/tea, maps and guidebooks, lists of great restaurants and city sites... the list goes on and on. It is obvious Michael loves being a host! His friendliness and suggestions made our first visit to Montreal such a success we can't wait to go back. And we will plan our trip around the availability of this apartment!

You get everything here that you would at a very nice hotel with the added bonus of good food, more privacy, a more pleasant neighborhood and a wonderful host who goes out of his way to make your stay as pleasant and productive as possible. It's like having your own personal concierge. We had to cancel our original booking only a few hours before our scheduled arrival due to a family emergency and Michael was more than understanding, allowing us to reschedule without penalty. When we finally did arrive he had wine, sushi and an assortment of pastries waiting, along with a free parking space on the street for our car and a detailed briefing of the sights, restaurants and city conveyences nearby. The place is immaculately clean and he cleans everyday upon request, as well as keeping the fridge stocked with fresh fruit, milk, wine, yogurt and a personally prepared meal for breakfast the next morning. My diet is predominantly vegan and Michael had no problem whipping up some fantastic vegan breakfasts. We were there in January so I can't speak to the ventilation issues but there is plently of fully adjustable heat throughout the apartment and no drafts. Being in the city you might expect some traffic and pedestrian noise but there is almost none. Very quiet, even on weekday mornings with all the bustle of people going to work. It's a very short walk to either of two metro stations and right around the corner is a taxi stand where we never failed to find two or three cabs waiting, even late at night. We didn't drive anyplace while there but kept our car in the same spot for the duration. If you need to use your car there might be an issue with parking, but you can easily get anyplace in the city using the metro or taxi so this wasn't an inconvenience for us at all. In fact, not having to deal with driving and parking was a plus. When we were ready to depart the car was right where we left it in front of the building and we were on our way. There's a fully outfitted kitchen if you feel like cooking for yourself, a large flatscreen tv with satellite hook up and dvd player if you don't feel like going out and a washer and dryer if you need to do laundry. It's as close as you can get to having your own very nicely appointed studio apartment in Montreal. We plan to stay there whenever we travel to Montreal.

Amazing Place!!! Far exceeded my expectations. Great reception on arrival and was shown the apartment thoroughly. After we finalized the payment we were presented with a beautiful tray of wine, sushi and desert, which was a great welcome after our long drive into the city. The fridge was stocked exactly as described on the vrbo web site offering free beverages with fresh fruit and breakfast for the following day. Every day on our return from our city touring the apartment was immaculately cleaned with restocked fridge and fresh towels. Was surprised with the amazing service and quality of furnishings. Great new 40 inch Tv with lots of DVD movies to select from . The personal service felt like we were staying in a 5star hotel. Will return without hesitation and will recommend to family and friends. Highly recommended and personally would say the price was excellent for the services and the space.

Stayed at this beautiful apartment recently with my husband and it was joy to have while in Montreal I would rate as the service & apartment as the equivalent of 5 Star . We were welcomed by the owner at a pre-arranged hour. The owner arranged free street parking for us. We found the apartment to be very fresh, clean, furnished and decorated with great detail to attention. The check in was done with perfection with a tour of the apartment. The owner Michael offered us maps/brochures and restaurant suggestions. We went to some of the restaurants and found them to be authentic French cuisine/environment with very reasonable prices. We could have not asked for more from the owner who offered what I would say to be "thoroughly professional with a kind personality". Positives: -good price for what you receive -honest owner who even offered us the promotional rate for our 7 days without asking for it -great welcome treat of vegetarian sushi with jumbo shrimps, cheese cake and white wine which was such a delight from our long drive -location was great with a two minute walk to the nearest metro underground with a tip from the owner to purchase the 3 day metro pass for $14. which gave us full access to all the city transportation system -two blocks from the neighborhood supermarket, liquor-wine store and fish market -clean fresh interior space -spacious layout and comfortable space -very comfortable bed, quality linens and a great selection of pillows -nice fully equipped kitchen -washer/dryer -jacuzzi was a joy after our long walks along with the selection of bath salts/bubble baths -private terrace with the joy of my husband doing some fresh fish on the grill from the local fish market down the street -YUMMY DAILY BREAKFAST offered daily from the owner which were left in our fridge every day AND FREE DAILY BEVERAGES WAS A EXTRA TOUCH THAT WE DID NOT EXPECT -daily supply of coffee/tea/coffee cream -free daily housekeeping which was a added treat of staying here on our vacation -everything was thought of from a free supply of paper towels, toilet paper, dish/laundry soap, bath toiletries, bottled water, pop, beer, wine, juice, milk, cereals, all of which was restocked daily -the cd and dvd library was a joy to make use of during our evenings in Negatives: As you can see everything was perfect with absolutely NO complaints or negatives. The only thing we would suggest was to stay a minimum of 5 days compared to compared to our short stay of 3 days which we fou

Stayed at this beautiful apartment recently with my husband and it was joy to have while in Montreal I would rate as the service and the apartment as the equivalent of 5 Star Service. We were welcomed by the owner at a pre-arranged hour. The owner arranged the free street parking for us like a Valet door man of a hotel. We found the apartment to be very fresh, clean, furnished and decorated with great detail to attention. The check in was done with perfection with a tour of the apartment. Hospitality, cleanliness and food were excellent. Accessibility to Metro, Old Montreal, museums & shopping areas was excellent. Location, amenities and dvd collection were very good. Roominess and fresh air were adequate. Fresh air available from one window AC unit and by opening balcony unscreened door. Free parking was good, but a bit of a hassle.

Owner response: Thank you for your comments! For future guests, I personally Valet park your auto to simplify the situation. Will be installing a screen door for future guests this upcoming summer.

Amazing place with fantastic furnishings and great outdoor balcony. The pictures and the described features on the VRBO listing is beyond 100% accurate. I have used the VRBO web site for many years and this particular apartment has to be my favorite with the unbelievable service that is offered by the owner Michael. Our expectations were exceeded by the furnishings, and services. Was pleasantly surprised with all the extra offerings included in the rental of the apartment. Definitely will recommend this to friends and advise if it is available to reserve it. Good Memories from Stephanie

This was by far the one of the best places we have ever stayed. Everything was in immaculate, perfect condition with amazing attention to detail. The suite was large with a full kitchen and a wonderful terrace where we had our breakfast each morning- it even had a gas grill for our personal use. The bathroom included a great jacuzzi tub that was most welcome after walking miles around the city! The host was fantastic - giving us recommendations on how to get around, the language, sights to see and local restaurants. We took his suggestion and ate at one of them, which was incredibly good and far less expensive than it should have been. Each day we had a beautiful breakfast left for us - smoked salmon with bagels and cream cheese one day, waffles with strawberries the next. And always fresh fruit, cereal, juice, milk... Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a tray of vegetable sushi, cheesecake and white wine! The location couldn't be better with lots to do, as the nearby street is walking only. Shops, restaurants, bars. Two Metro stops within a few blocks and a large grocery store nearby. We have already recommended this beautiful place to several people and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Montreal next time. Once it's discovered, it will be hard to get a reservation!

Owner response: Thank you, for the review! Very happy that you enjoyed the Restaurant Recommendation.
