Surrounded by mountain laurel, rhododendron, hemlocks, azaleas, hydrangeas, hostas and towering oaks, this spacious 2,000+ s.f. ranch home, constructed of redwood and river rock, has been beautifully furnished and maintained. The setting - on a quiet mountain ridge 3,100 ft. above sea level - offers the ultimate in privacy and tranquility. The site adjoins Gorges State Park, and provides acres and acres to explore. In addition, it is just minutes from exclusive 640 acre Lake Toxaway, the largest private lake in North Carolina. This home is a beautiful and peaceful retreat from the cares of the world, and it is just as enjoyable in winter as it is in summer!

Fill your day with activities, or simply do nothing at all. Relax in a Pawleys Island hammock on the covered rear deck and enjoy the mountain breezes, views of Toxaway Mountain, and sounds of Toxaway Falls. Watch hummingbirds, finches and hawks from the comfort of your easy chair. Pick blackberries along the lane, or curl up with a good book in front of the massive river rock fireplace. Dine at one of the fine restaurants nearby, or spend the afternoon shopping in Cashiers (west) or Brevard (east), each only 25 minutes away. Explore one of the more than 250 waterfalls in Transylvania County, enjoy some of country's best fly fishing, or hike one of the many trails within a few minutes drive.

Inside, you'll find that this house is unlike many mountain rental homes that are dated, dark and musty. It is tastefully decorated and updated with a blend of fine new furniture - Baker, Hickory Chair, etc., antiques, oriental rugs and accessories (original artwork and one-of-a-kind lamps throughout). At the same time, it is not overly formal, so you'll feel right at home putting your feet up and relaxing.

12'x16' Master Bedroom (one king) has its own private bath and views of Toxaway Mountain. 12'x12' Bedroom 2 (one queen) and 12'x12' Bedroom 3 (two singles) connect by Jack and Jill bath (double sinks). New mattresses/box springs/bedspreads throughout, Ralph Lauren luxury bed linens and thirsty towels. Sleeps 6 adults maximum.
