Townsend Lodge sits on a quiet street in old Ketchum. This wonderful home, perfect for families, looks out on the 140 acre Reinheimer Ranch conservation preserve, and offers spectacular views of Bald Mountain, Sun Valley’s main ski area. The decor is inviting and sophisticated with lots of original art and high quality furnishings.
The house was remodeled in 2007 with all new bathrooms and a fully-equipped kitchen with gourmet appliances. The Great Room is a spacious living area with a wood burning fireplace, a dining room table for 8 and a small library/sitting area. French doors open out on a deck to the backyard and a huge in-ground, slate-lined hot tub. The two master bedrooms each have king beds and their own bathrooms. Down the hall, there is an additional Queen bedroom and an Adirondack-style bunk room which comfortably sleeps 4. Both bedrooms share a hallway bath close by.
Appointments for guest use include a washer/dryer, fully stocked kitchen, high speed WiFi Internet, 5 televisions (3 HDTV flat screens) 2 DVD players, music system with iPod dock, CD, and radio. Nintendo Wii, Gas BBQ Grill, and printer/scanner/fax machine. To help maintain the beauty of this property, smoking is not allowed. A pet may be welcome with a nonrefundable pet deposit.

About the owner: We are a family of 5 with 3 young adult daughters. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area. We love meeting up in Sun Valley because it is beautiful and there is something for everything to do.
Why the Owner Chose Ketchum:
My husband and I have been coming to Sun Valley for years. We originally came up in the summer and winter to visit close friends, and we fell in love with the area. It is equally fun to spend time here in the winter or summer and it's a wonderful family place. We chose to buy here because we like the atmosphere, lack of crowds and the feel of the valley. When you spend time here, you will understand what we mean!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The great thing about staying at Townsend Lodge is that everyone can do their own thing. The house is horse shoe-shaped with a master bedroom flanking each side. River Run Plaza is right down the street, so the early birds can head out in the morning while the mid-morning risers can be on their own schedules. For large groups/families, it's nice to be so close to everything , but at the same time tucked into a quiet neighborhood.
