Our focus is on your total vacation experience. We are also year-around local owners whom you can call, when you need us, for local information and helpful hints to enhance your mountain experience.

The perfect place to relax at the end of your ski/hiking/ golf/ fly fishing/ biking/ tennis/ horseback riding or whatever the activity on your vacation day. Sit on your private, covered, patio in the summer or even a warm, sunny, winter /spring day with your glass of wine or champagne and enjoy the bright and vivid sunset, watch the local red fox come to greet you or watch a deer graze in the grass or a moose down in the willows as you also see the town a short walk below and down the hill.
iIn the summer, enjoy the colorful wildflowers and hummingbirds. In the winter, enjoy the bushy tailed red fox who comes to greet and pose for you to see through the windows, or make a snowman or sled on a nearby hill after a day on the slopes. Build a fire in the wood burning stove and listen to the wood crackle and watch the snowflakes gently drop from the sky.
In the summer or winter, you can begin hiking or skiing right out your door, take a short walk of 3 1/2 blocks to downtown stores and shops or catch a bus at the stop 1/2 block and ride to local spots. It is a location that is hard to beat!
After a day outdoors, you can build a fire in the wood stove and sit around the coffee table with a board game or just lounge in a comfortable chair or sofa in front of the fire with a good book - one of ours from our guest library - or one of yours. Or watch a movie from ours or your movie collection.

Tyra Complex includes 3 Hot tubs along with an outdoor gas grill on premises at neighboring building. Owners can provide, upon request, access to local community pool a short drive. The Recreation Center pool is also available to guests along with many other rec center amenities. Single or Multi-day use passes may be purchased at the Center.

Included are all linens/ dishes/ cookware/coffee-maker, coffee filters/ electric teapot/ toaster/an abundance of pots, pans, dishes, glasses, utensils/ basic condiments/ humidifier / hair dryer /and upgraded linens. We supply much more than the minimum basics and have more than one cup and one glass per person and enough so you can opt to run the dishwasher once a day and not every time you use a dish. Basic condiments and spice rack are there for your use in a kitchen that will have all you need.

Lock Box is inside the lighted porch to make check-in a no brainer. Put the entry key back in the lock box as we provide two additional keys inside the unit for your convenience and use during your stay.

No 1 to 3 night bookings accepted. Posted rates are for two people. Slight additional charge for extra persons. Kid friendly accommodation yet perfect for a couple in a very romantic setting.
Our place is also our guest home for our family and closest friends and, once in a while, we may trade with other skiers for their units at their home ski resorts during the non holiday times.
For our guests, we offer local tips, skier or hiking check lists, our secret ways to navigate the mountain and more. We'll also share our healthcare providers - if you find yourself in need, which we hope you won't but that sometimes happens - ski shop folks, restaurants, and more. If you are a black diamond skier or a very strong blue and want to follow us early on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning for a warm-up lap let us know and we will see you at the lift. In the summer, we can share our favorite places to hike depending upon your skill level.
Want to do a day drive trip, we have a lot of good options there, too, for you especially in the summer. In the winter we can share with you about other winter activities if you want a day off the mountain and a change of pace. Our goal is for you to have the fun you expect and have a true dream vacation away from the world you just left. Come stay with us. You'll be glad you did.

About the owner: We have both been skiing and hiking in the Colorado mountains for the past several decades - since the era of long skis, lace boots and stretch pants! We planned to move here probably from the time of one of our earlier visits years ago. It is just something we always knew we would do. And, we were happy to make this our full-time home about a decade ago when we both retired from corporate America. Patricia holds a Colorado real estate broker's license as a sole proprietor and not a part of Breckenridge Vacation Homes. The reasons we selected Breckenridge were because of its beauty, the small town appeal, its rich history, the friendliness of local folks, and the blend of well-educated, diverse, interesting, and active retirees as well as to continue to pursue our outdoor activities that include primarily skiing, hiking and golfing. Our life here has been enriched not only by those with whom we have met and who have become part of our circle of friends but also by those who come and visit here who allow us to share with them our special part of this world.
Why the Owner Chose Tyra Summit:
The reason we selected this property was because of its superb location close to the ski lift, the hiking trails, and the town, because of the spectacular views, and we also liked having a property in a building with only a few other units, and parking just outside our door. We do not like to have to travel through long hallways, or to ride elevators to access our home. (We find many of those buildings to have all sorts of odors - especially cooking odors -in addition.) It is important to us to be able to open our door and step right outside. We enjoy the sunsets and the views from our windows and patio and the sunshine that makes our place so light and bright. We feel as though we are in the mountains yet still in close to town shops and thus have the best of both worlds. This is also our home for our guests and our family and the location as well as the amenities could not be better.
