Our Alpine Chalet is at a ski village in Government Camp near Collins Lake at the 4,000 foot elevation of Mt. Hood. The ski village is surrounded by alpine forests, wonderful mountain views & great fresh mountain air!! Within walking distance are trails filled with Trilliums, Beargrass, Rhodies, Ferns and Tall Trees for summer hiking & mountain biking & Winter Nordic skiing or snowshoeing. Relax in our alpine theme decorated chalet. Enjoy a barbeque on our private deck with an alpine forest view. Our chalet location on E. Creek Ridge Rd. is one of the quietest places in the village. It has almost no traffic which makes it especially safe for children. Attractive amenities of the village include a clubhouse with free WiFi, year round heated pool, sauna, hot tub, and large spa pool in the woods.
In SUMMER, International ski/snowboarding at Timberline, at Ski Bowl a lift for your bike & you to the top for riding down!, also an Adventure Park, for alpine slide, bungee jumping, zip line, go karts, batting cages, etc. Other activities are climb the mountain, boating, kayaking, white water rafting, fishing or golf at the 27 hole golf course a short 12 miles away.
In WINTER, ski or snowboard and you can do nights, too at Ski Bowl, America’s largest night ski area. A shuttle takes you to Ski Bowl. Nearby Timberline (6 miles away) and Mt. Hood Meadows (12 miles) give a variety of slopes & runs. As well as cross country skiing and snowshoeing trails, there are places to sled and tube with kids. Sleigh rides can also be arranged.

We had a great time at the condo. The listing was very accurate and the photos depicted the condo as it was. The property was extremely clean as were the common areas of the development. The owner was very cooperative in answering questions prior to and during our stay. We would recommend this property to anyone visiting the Mt. Hood area of Oregon. It is centrally located in Government camp with a nice pool and hot tub and the owner left us a notebook full of restaurants and their suggestions. The skiing at Mt. Hood in August was surprisingly good and we had a great time and I hope to return.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

My family stayed at this condo for 10 days. It was very clean and we had everything we needed. The location is great for skiing at Mt. Hood. The pool is nice and clean and the area just outside the condo is great for kids to ride their bikes. If you stay for any length of time, take the time to drive to the coast to check out Canon Beach, you won't regret it. During your stay, stop by the Huckleberry Inn, in Government Camp, for a Huckleberry milkshake and a long john doughnut. Wow, amazing. We highly recommend this unit. We will be back next summer. Thanks to the owners for making this condo a home away from home.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
