Oak Bluffs townhome description
This is a wonderfully designed contemporary loft space that is both chic and comfortable. The couches and chairs are down-filled and the kitchen and living area is spacious and convivial. This is a great rental for wedding parties, large families, and couples and groups of friends on vacation.
The location is just perfect! You are within steps of everything! Shops, galleries, restaurants, cinema, golf and tennis both public courts and farm neck around the corner, harbor, grocery stores, liquor store, clubs, tabernacle, union chapel, ocean park, public basketball court , walking trails, bike bath along ocean from OB to Edgartown, rentals for bikes, etc....right in town. As well you can take the ferry right to Oak Bluffs and leave your car on the other side. You can walk to this rental from the ferry or take a very short taxi ride if you packed a pair of shoes for every outfit! I'm an ex New Yorker and I love it here! I love Oak Bluffs and I love this space. It feels like Tribeca but is 2 blocks to beautiful clean ocean at inkwell beach.....!

Amazing Vineyard Weekend
Amazing Vineyard Weekend
What a perfect weekend for a group of friends. Was so lucky to have been a part of a group trip who stayed at this beautiful home. Everything inside was elegant, and in an incredibly walkable distance from town. Such a special and beautiful place- I wish I could have stayed longer!

Great Martha's Vineyard Getaway
Great Martha's Vineyard Getaway
Big thanks to Kim for her hospitality in her Oak Bluffs loft! I came to Martha's Vineyard with a group of 10 of us for a wedding 6/27/13. Kim was very responsive throughout the entire booking process, as well as the few days leading up to our arrival. She was waiting for us as our taxi arrived at the property, and showed us up to our space. The property itself was a perfect fit for our group. All 10 of us slept comfortably in the space and, even with all the sleeping space, the communal living area is so open and spacious! We spent a lot of time out on the balcony/deck, but unfortunately had some bad weather so we were also forced to stay inside for part of the time. That was not a problem, as there is plenty of room and seating for everyone. The kitchen is open into the living area as well which was nice. Kim has all of the amenities you would need for a stay. Plenty of towels and bed linens, all kitchen ware needs, including coffee filters. The outside patio is awesome, and a great place to congregate when the weather is nice. Perhaps the best part of this place is the location. You can walk to it from the Steamship Authority ferry in Oak Bluffs. It is also in close walking distance to the town of Oak Bluffs; several restaurants, bars, shops, and a grocery & liquor store. There's also a bank next door for easy access to cash if you need it. The only recommendation I have for Kim is a stronger wifi signal. The upstairs bedroom and loft area were the only places we could seem to get a signal. Other than that we had a great time and really enjoyed the space. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who asks! Thanks again!

Lovely accommodation--great location!
Lovely accommodation--great location!
My girlfriends and I just got back from a wonderful weekend at Kim's property! The place itself is gorgeous--the photos don't do it justice at all. The kitchen/living room are spacious and great for cooking, dining and lounging. But the weather was beautiful, so we spent most of our time outside on the porch--where the 10 of us could eat and hang out with plenty of extra room. Kim made sure that the propane tank was full so we were able to grill out the first night we arrived. The kitchen was fully stocked with silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. The apartment has two indoor showers and one outdoor shower, so it made it easy for us all to get cleaned up after a day at the beach. We were also pleasantly surprised by how convenient the loft was to everything. We had brought a car on island with us, but we didn't need it at all. The property was convenient to town (5 minute walk), the beach (10 minute walk) and the ferry (10 minute walk). It made it easy for our group of friends to come and go as we please, because we didn't need to coordinate transportation. Kim was very responsive over email while we were going through the booking process. She met us at the property when we arrived and made herself available in case we had questions. This is a great property for a girls weekend, but would also be great for a bunch of couples or a family. Already looking forward to the next time we can visit!

This property is misleading from what is presented on webite; clearly states no pets allowed yet on one of the pictures there is a dog sitting on the bed and it was obvious that dog(s) had been in the rental space because it smelled of dog urine; there was a bottle of "dog tick medication" clearly visible on the sink in the half bathroom (sink and commode) as were cleaning supplies, a broom and mop in this same area. Also, door leading to rental is in dire need of painting; not a welcoming look at all. Biggest complaint is that the place was FILTHY. Rugs throughout were dirty and animal print rugs in the general sitting areas were torn and in need of replacement. Coffee pot filter was left in and mold had settled in it! Dishes and drinking glass were dusty and dirty; could not use the diswasher due to it being dirty and didn't seem to be working; we had to wash everything by hand before we could use. Stove was so dirty inside that when we cooked our salmon and chicken in it, the fire alarm went off. Bedding throughout did not have a clean fresh look or feel; in fact sheets on one of the beds had to be washed because they were "gritty". Pillows were of poor quality and not "fluffy" as shown on the website. Towels were in abundance but not soft. Dust was everywhere; did not appear as though the place had been cleaned in months. Dead insects were throughout the space. Recess lighting was terrrible in the general sitting areas making it difficult to see at night; light bulbs were not in some of the lamps. Space in one of the bedrooms had too many open areas that were attached to other areas. Did not leave you with a feeling of privacy from other renters. Space where TV is located had all manner of electronic items in it and two beds located in this area prevented TV watching by others when two occupying this area either went to bed early! Owner did not greet us upon our arrival although we had been in contact with owner for months before our arrival; in fact when we knocked on owner's door, owner seemed surprise to see us. Owner did accompany us upstairs to accumulate us to the space that we were renting. The next day we had to knock on owner's door to inquire about the key to lock the place. In conclusion, we would not recommed this place at all!!! Positive: Excellent potential; location is well within walking distance to downtown Oak Bluffs and the outside sitting/patio area is well docorated and comfortable for outside entertainment.

Owner response: Just for a start the Tick Spray was organic for humans and was left as a courtesy as ticks are many on the island, as well the broom and mop(which you would have found BEHIND the dryer) and cleaning supplies are left as a courtesy. You contradict yourself when saying I didn't greet you but led you upstairs. All of the pillows are down, etc. I can't go on defending even the lighting and space. Granted the weather was not great during your mid May visit but I feel you are taking it out on me. Cape Cod to answer your question when you arrived is on the mainland.
Super loft-style property
Super loft-style property
This property is beautiful and spacious. Don't be fooled by the white furniture in the pictures, the place is very comfortable and of high quality but is not formal. The loft style has a very open feel to it but the little cubbies and private spaces give you plenty of privacy when you want it, plus there are several private rooms. We are a family of 8 and the space is not crowded in the least. The bookshelves filled with books and games were a welcome surprise. The property has a funky feel to it with lots of light and is in easy walking distance to everything in OB. The second floor deck is beautiful and is a great place to have a meal, take a shower outside or watch the stars at night. Kim is a perfect hostess and will take good care of you. We will certainly be back the next time we return to the Vineyard.

Year Purchased: 1999
About the owner: i bought this property in 1999 and renovated it top to bottom....it was a lumberyard warehouse and it inspired the New Yorker in me. i now have my New York fantasy loft but even better it is in Oak Bluffs! and steps to clean beaches and ocean. This town gives me all of the cool stimulation i need being an exurbanite plus i have a child and i can't imagine a more quintessential place to raise a child. We are very happy!
Why the Owner Chose Oak Bluffs:
I bought this property because it was unconventional in the way most of the Victorian properties are in town. I wanted to be in Oak Bluffs and lead a small town lifestyle meaning i can walk to everything, wave to my friends, the school is nearby, and i feel safe, healthy, and stimulated but relaxed.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
I just love this town. It's full of interesting people.....i love seeing the ocean every time i run an errand...my home is spacious and comfortable.....my friends love to come over....my son doesn't ever want to leave.....when i go off island i just want to get right back home.......my home has a very inviting feel and makes you feel like just kicking up your feet. It feels very private but everything is at my fingertips and Especially the beauty and vibrancy of Oak Bluffs.
