  We recently had the pleasure of staying at the chalet through the Blizzard of 2013 or Nemo to some. It was a perfect house for our group of 8 adults we all slept comfortably and had plenty of room to hang out and enjoy the place with plenty of room to spare at a price that can't be beat! The location is perfect being only minutes to North Conway and all that it has to offer, and is also in a beautiful NH woodland section with plenty of privacy. It was a great experience all around from dealing and talking with one of the owners Tom to the actual stay in the house! I would recommend this place to anybody and seems that the location would be ideal in summer or winter. Thanks for a great memory and we look forward to staying here again!

  My husband and I, along with another couple spent a week at this relaxing chalet. We grilled up several amazing meals and ate on the porch listening to the soft flow of the brook below. We would eat ourselves full and the retreat inside to the embrace of the gas fireplace, watch a movies, play games and lounge. We were intiially disappointed by one rainy day which inhibited our intention of exploring many of the neighboring parks, hiking trails and other attractions. This rainy day actually turned out to be my favorite!! The soothing sound of the rain on the metal roof comforted us all into a day of totally relaxation. This place was just what we all needed, an escape from our busy lives. Thank you!!

  I have enjoyed my stays at this property both in the winter for its proximity to a variety of ski Mountains (for families and for the skier that want s a challenge). It also has been a cool retreat in the summer with plenty of activities to do right out of the doorway. The house itself is well equipped for a vacation rental. Great place for a girls weekend or family affair. The property was clean,tidy and charming.

  We enjoyed our trip tremendously! Highlights were dinner on the screened porch and walking a few feet to swim in the lake. We'll be back.

  Arrived on a very cold night, Key safely hidden. Inside everything was in its place. The chalet was very well equipped and the beds comfortable. This was our second stay...we also vacationed in the Summer. Lots to do inside, outside and "in town". We'll be going back again this Summer. It's a perfect place for a family!

  I arrived with my family for a long weekend ski vacation and was very happy with the accomidations. We arrived to a clean, warm and lit cottage that offered all of what my family and I needed to make for a fantastic family vacation. This was the second time that we have stayed here, and is perfect for my family and young children to lear to ski at King Pine. We have already booked our return for next season 2013! Cant wait to go back!

  Too many miss communications from owners! After check and contract was sent by us, we didn’t hear back for over a week. I had to follow up and was told “... I just looked in my sent emails and it looks like it is still sitting in my draft box. I am so sorry!” Upon arrival, the driveway was all ice by which one of my daughters slipped. Reading the arrival instructions it stated; “…you’ll find the keys to the chalet under the deck on a hook atop the post that the canoe is locked to.” After walking all around the house in the snow, there was no canoe found. We finally got in because the front door was wide open! I paid extra for linens and was emailed by owner the day we were to arrive that linens would be late as the other owner was there over the weekend and was told “All beds will be made and ready to go.” A vehicle pulled in the driveway and a lady took a basket out of the car with the linens and she dropped some in the sandy road. She just put them back in the basket then handed it to my wife. My wife stated the beds were to be made, she said no! The owner again, “.. I can refund you the additional $35, I'm really sorry.” The sheets smelt so bad, my daughters had me spray cologne on them and my wife slept in her clothes on top of the covers. The final straw was while looking for a glass to have some wine; I found mouse droppings all over the cabinets by which I have pictures. I ended up packing up Monday morning and going to a hotel in Conway. Spoke to the owner and stated I wanted a refund and was told he would speak with the other owners and get back to me. A week later, I still didn’t have the refund for the linens as promised. I followed up via email as to what the decision was on my refund and was told he would check with his bank on my $35 for linens. I then sent follow up email due to ambiguity of his response and never heard back. Due to the poor communications and horrible conditions, I Would NOT recommend this rental!

  Owner response: We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay. In fact you arrived the same day that my family and I left, so I know first hand that the house was spotless clean, and left in perfect condition. In addition, we had another party arrive the day you left, and their review was outstanding. I just confirmed with our bank that your refund check for the linens was chashed, so it was sent as promied. Your review is inconsistent with any other party we have had stay at our chalet. Perhaps we can try again next year.

  We loved the place and the location! To have such easy access to the beach and be able to hop home at a whim was a luxury! Your house provided such a tranquil environment that we didn't want to leave. We bbq every night and the one night that we got rain, we spent all night on the porch listening to the babbling brook below. Thank you for the stay, we will be back!

  Great place to get away from the heat in Florida, better to ski on the slopes than on the water. Comfortable and clean enviorment. Will return next year.

  thanks SO much for letting us use the chalet!!- we had a great week! there was plenty of sleeping space, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. the location is beautiful....we'll be sure to return!
