Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2008
My husband and I love the mountains. There is something about getting away from town and this setting is perfect for us. We love to be active and there is so much to do in this area, regardless the time of year. In the summer we love to hike, golf and mountain bike in the area.....Winters its cross country skiing. Canmore also has a host of things going on all the time so we like to be there for the Celtic games and the folk festival, sometimes there is great entertainment at the nearby casino or the Drake pub. Our grandsons love it there as well, so we try to bring the family out as much as we can. Great memories are forged on each visit to the mountains. Dwain and Cheryl, Edmonton, Alberta
Why the Owner Chose Canmore
There are so many things to do and see in this area. Everyone knows Banff which is only a 20 minute drive down the road but there is tons to see and do around this area. The 1988 winter olympic cross country facility at the Canmore Nordic Center is a great place to go in winter or try the world class downhill ski tracks at Lake Louise, Sunshine, Mt Norquay. Boat tours of Lake Minnewanka, Helitours at the Stoney Nakoda Casino or Horseback riding at Brewsters. There is world class golf courses at Banff Springs, Stewart Creek, Silvertip and Kananaskis. White water rafting and hiking is available everywhere including right from the condo. The Bow River is known world wide for some of the best trout fishing and it is a short walk from the door.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
We decided to purchase a property that was close to but not in town. One of our favorite things to do is book an adjacent campsite at Three Sisters along the Bow River and sit around the campfire....and then walk back to our condo when we run out of wood.

We spent 4 nights at this property and just loved it! While it is not located directly in Canmore, it is only a few minutes drive. If you are looking for a clean, stylish, quiet, and spacious place, filled with every imaginable comfort, this is the spot. We highly recommend this property.

Stayed at Dwain's Digs back in March and loved it. There was plenty of room for our family of 6. I liked the fact that there were games and movies of the kidlets. Very quiet, could not hear anything from condos beside us. Would love to return for another weekend of spring skiing next year.

We thought the place was excellent. The price was fair for what you get. Especially if your splitting between other couples. It slept 6 very comfortably. I would recommend this place to others and we would stay here again.

A group of us stayed here for the weekend and had a wonderful time. The condo was very nice, clean and easily able to sleep 7 of us. The location was perfect as we didn't have to travel far for skiing and snow-shoeing. Also, the hot tub was a great addition! The communication with the owner was fantastic and I would definitely recommend this place for anyone else looking.

We had a very enjoyable stay at your condo in November 2011 - it was a clean and warm space to live in amidst extremely cold temperatures. We made use of the barbeque, the beds were incredibly comfortable and the hot tub proved a hit with the children despite the cold weather that weekend. From there we explored various places near-by and drove up to Emerald Lake and Field with our visitors. You provided a great service and thank you for being very responsive to our needs!

The facility was excellent. It was very clean and welcoming. The unit has all applicances - for a home away from home experience. The beds are very comfortable for attractive - bedding. Plenty of towels are provided. Instruction on using the computer - was very helpful. For those wishing just for some downtime - the number of DVD's and VCR's is simple incredible. What a great selection for all ages. The owner is very detailed regarding instructions of the facility. The owner also replies quickly to any questions or concerns. My family had a very positive experience and look forward to renting it in the future.

We had a wonderful time at Copperstone! The condo was beautiful, spacious and was exactly how the photos had shown. The condo was clean and well stocked with kitchen items such as pots and pans, dishes and cutlery - which gave us the opportunity to cook some of our meals at the unit. We loved the collection of VHS and DVDs and that there was a computer with an internet connection that we could use right in the unit. Only a 5 minute drive from Canmore meant we could explore a bit without a lot of wasted driving time. Canmore is quaint and offers everything you would need for shopping, groceries and cultural venues. The resort was easy to find and offered a beautiful view of the mountains! The beds were soft and the resort was quiet - a perfect get away in the mountains. We will definitely be booking again in the future - and recommending it to others! Thank you!!

This condo was perfect for our two families- each with 2 adults and an 18 year old. Neat and clean. Love those black out shades for a restful sleep. Met very nice people in the Hot Tub. The park pass was so generous- saved us money. Loved Banff, took gondola ride, hiked Bow Falls, explored Fairmont Springs Hotel, took in a hot spring, went on the ice field (drank water right off the glacier), enjoyed Lake Louise, and shopped in Banff and Canmore. Condo kitchen was perfect for preparing meals. Movie selection was the biggest I've ever seen. If you want a home base while visiting Banff- this is ideal. The owners were very nice to work with. We also used the exercise room every morning. Indoor parking was nice. Would absolutely stay there again.
