- Pets allowed:No

Awake to breath taking morning sunrises, enjoy beach living steps away, and then lay back to view more stars than you have ever seen before.
Our modern, but extremely homey, vacation home is only 12 years old, 1400 square feet, with knotty pine walls floor to ceiling throughout.
As you enter Lake Huron is visible, beyond the 22 foot vaulted ceiling, from every angle of the main floor. A full service kitchen, with one year old appliances, bath with shower, stack-able washer and dryer, and gas fireplace complete the main floor.
The second floor has three bedrooms and a bath with a two person jetted tub. The master bedroom has a king size bed, dresser and closet. Enjoy panoramic sunrise and lake views through one glass wall. The second bedroom has twin beds and dressers. The third bedroom has modern âTâ shaped bunk beds with a dresser and desk.
This awesome home has two decks on the lake side. One is attached to the house and the other is at lake side. The lake side deck has a built-in fire pit for roasting marshmallows while you enjoy evenings listening to the waves and watching the stars.
East Tawas lighthouse and state park are approximately 2 miles East and downtown East Tawas and Bay are approximately 4 miles South. There are numerous beaches in the area or walk four houses from your front door and enjoy beach fun on your own nearby expansive sandy beach. Many other activities such as biking, hiking, and fishing are available in the immediate area.

This was a great location for our sisters reunion! The house was roomy, clean, and comfortable with a beautiful view and access to the lake. The lake itself was cold and clean, a welcome relief from the high heat and humidity in our home towns. We especially enjoyed the proximity to lovely Tawas Point State Park where we toured the lighthouse and enjoyed two sunsets on the beach. I found it was worthwhile to purchase a season pass since we went there four times during the week. Birders will want to visit Tuttle Marsh which is about a half hour drive. On that same drive, we also enjoyed the Lumberjack Memorial and the 280 steps down (and back up!) to the Au Sable River. Highly recommended for everyone, as long as you can climb steep stairs to the bedrooms on the second floor.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

We had an absolutely wonderful week! We celebrated our 33rd Wedding Anniversary and our daughter and son-in-law celebrated their 5th Wedding Anniversary during our stay. This lakefront cottage was just perfect! It was very clean and comfortable and had all the comforts of home. We appreciated the quiet neighborhood and the spectacular view of the lake. We highly recommend this rental property. Thank you for opening up your home for us to enjoy! It was a real blessing!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I highly recommend this beautiful Lake Huron home. The views are incredible and what I loved most was just sitting and watching the water. The beach and the sand bar was great. Plenty of room and the place was very comfortable. The owners are wonderful to work with. The town of East Tawas is very cute. We enjoyed the shops, Marions for ice cream and Jackss for lunch! Can't wait to come back.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful home. We enjoyed the beach and ate ice cream every day! The home was great, even better than the pictures on the web site. The best parts were the two decks, beautiful sand beach just feet away from the cottage, the crystal clear water, and the stars at night. The telescope was excellent, and the gas grill worked superbly. We loved being right on the lake, off the highway, and convenient to town. East Tawas has lots to offer with all the shops and restaurants and the pier. It was a great week for us. Thanks.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Fabulous!! That's how we would sum up our week vacation. The house was just as described and pictured. It was all ready for us when we got there- very clean! Owners were easy to work with and helpful in answering our questions about the area. Our family vacation was restful for the adults and the kids had a blast playing in the waves and catching minnows in the water. There was even a beautiful light show in the sky with the northern lights!! You can cook for yourself or head in town where we enjoyed sitting on the patio and eating at Mr. Jack'ss. There are mini-golf places and a beautiful downtown with shops and theaters. You won't be disappointed in this one! Just last night I recommended this location to a family member looking for a fall get-away.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our fully appointed summer home sets on a private road which is boarded by woods on the West and Lake Huron on the East. The magnificent lake view is only one of the natural wonders that fill your senses. The miles of beach to explore take you down an ever changing shoreline. The American Bald Eagle has made a strong comeback in this area and is often seen soaring above the Lake. After dark the Tawas area has few outdoor lights, consequently viewing the night sky, stars, and solar system is phenomenal.
