My husband and I just spent a glorious week at the Pelican Beach Condo. This condo has now become our new home! The location was absolutely perfect. Having a beach so close was an added attraction. This beach was great for walking and sitting on the lounge chairs. Swimming would be done at Maho Beach. The privacy we had was awesome as we frequently used the deck area, which was a great bonus. We enjoyed walking the steep inclines and got great exercise everyday by visiting the restaurants. The warmth and friendliness of the property manager was outstanding. She was extremely caring to our needs and the perfect hostess. The property was extremely clean and the beauty of flowering tress was breathtaking. A piece of paradise indeed.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

My husband and I enjoyed a week at the Villa in March, 2010. We loved almost everything about it...the location is ideal evry night we walked into Simpson Bay or other close resorts for dinner), the size is enormous, the patio absolutely stunning, and the caretaker was unbelievable (she would come by to check on us and end up washing our dishes and throwing in a load of laundry!). The only possible drawbacks are...the beach is beautiful but the rocks at the water entry makes it impossible to swim. And while you are a "second tier" villa and not far at all from the waters edge, you really only have a glimpse from the patio of actual sea. We had a car and spent our days "beach hopping" around the island anyway but did love sitting on the small deck, seaside, with a cocktail, watching the cruise ships leaving Philipsburg (and toasting our good fortune to be where we were sitting and not in a stuffy boat!) We are so hoping to make a return visit to St. Maarten and this villa in particular.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.
