Fantastic condo with beautiful lanai

We stayed here with our 2-yr old son for about 10 days in July. The condo is wonderful - very clean, spacious, and well equipped. The best part is the large lanai with great sunset views and a peek of the ocean. The lanai has a table and chairs and we ate dinner out there many times. One of the pool and BBQ areas is nearby (but not so close that you can hear it), so we were able to BBQ our food and bring it back to our condo - very convenient. We drove about 2 minutes to the beach everyday (a bit too far for a a toddler to walk, but would be fine for older kids/adults). The owner, Dennis, was great - very professional and responsive, and he gave us some great recommendations. Would definitely come here again, and hopefully soon!

Owner response: Every enjoyable having you and family as guest. Understand Riley had a ball. Hillary, in talking to her by phone mentioned once a week the Maui Aquarium has a behind the scenes tour. Recommend you call regarding dates and times. Riley got to hold a sea turtle and feed a hammerhead shark. How great is that for a 5 year old?

We had a great time at Maui Kamaole and felt spoiled there. The unit was just as they described, the property was beautiful, the staff is friendly and helpful, the tennis courts courts new, great pools! Unit was stocked well in kitchen and with outside playthings, and the owners were very kind and helpful from the first phone call. What more could you want?

This condo was fabulous. Nice, large, roomy and located in a very nice location. Close to pool. Had all the equipment we needed. Was nice to have use of a cooler and chairs for the beach too. Owners are accomodating, friendly and great help planning our trip. Mahalo.

Owner response: Thanks for your positive comments. Carolyn and I do enjoy immensely helping people plan their visit, especially first time island visitors. By the way, If you visit during spring and early fall consider attending the Maui Polo, polo matches on Sundays from 1:30 pm to about 4 pm. Great fun and cheap, too! Grab the cooler, throw in some beverages, sandwiches, etc. Lots of action, beautiful horses, excellent horsemanship. Check the Maui Polo website for more details.

My wife and I had a joyful time at the Buckmaster's Maui Kamaole condo. Clean and nice; LCD TV and stereo for a couple of evenings when we stayed in. Nice kitchen for cooking your own meals, although there are many good restaurants close by. You get your very own parking space if you have a rental car. A little over a block to the beach or walk down to the pool. Beautiful complex that is clean and well maintained. Wailea is walking distance via the beach or road to the south. Shops and more to the north in Kihei, but a much longer walk if you like to get your exercise in. We took in the sights around the island and just settled back in comfort when we got back. Just need to find a way to stay longer!

Owner response: Path from Buckmaster Condo to Fairmont Hotel Like to walk? 2.85 miles (one-way) of walkers delight. Walk down to the Kihei Boat Ramp. Find path close to the ramp and follow it to Mana Kai Hotel. Get on Keawakapu Beach and walk south along the various beaches to the Wailea Beach Walk which starts at Ulua/Makapu Beach Park. Continue along the walk past the luxury hotels including: Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, The Grand Wailea, Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea and The Fairmont Kea Lani Maui. Early morning is the best time to enjoy this walk. The beauty is absolutely stunning.

We stayed at the Maui Kamaole and had a fantastic time! Wonderful grounds, pool and location. All the conviences of having your own home on the islands. The owners of this condo are wonderful and want your stay to be everything and then some. We went snorkeling at Molokini with the Quick Silver boat out of Maalaea Harbor. Very fun, good food & drinks afterwards. Big Beach just a very short drive from the condo is fun and entertaining....just watch your back! We will definately be back!

The condo is in a prime location, just above the pool (did not create extra noise), and just a few minutes walk to some of the best beaches on the island. The condo is well appointed, comfortable and has a high livability factor. We felt like it was OUR home! The lanai is heaven and the sunset views from the large lanai can't be beat. We feel that this was an exceptional place to stay and a great deal for the money. Very reasonable rental fees for such exquisite and comfortable accommodations. The fridge is large and held lots of fresh food for meals and the kitchen is well stocked and easy to cook in. We can't wait to return!

Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

What a wonderful place to stay on our vacation!! This condo was a home away from home. Clean, with a wonderful layout. Had everything we could have needed. Drinking coffee in the morning on the beautiful balcony listening to the birds, playing in the two faboulous pools, we even had a bbq there one evening and is was great! Close to town and activities. Snorkling, the aquarium, horseback riding, shopping were all great! Walking distance to beach was great for our family. Kids had the time of their life! I would reccommend highly and stay there anytime!!! Once in a lifetime vacation!

We had an absolutely wonderful two weeks in your condo. We think your place is one of the best situated in the entire complex :) and hope we can come back again soon. Being on the second floor was great with the tradewinds blowing through the unit and keeping it the perfect temperature. We never even used the a/c. The luscious grounds make Maui Kamaole a haven. We loved cooling off at the tropical pool after a day at the beach. The bbq was frequently used and we enjoyed having dinner on the lanai watching the sunset every night. Thanks for providing all the extras for a perfect vacation. Even our 5-year-old got a hang of boogieboarding with a board the perfect size for him.

We rented this wonderful condo for some of our family members attending our wedding. We met frequently at the condo for breakfast and it was a great place to unwind after a day full of activities. It was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The complex as a whole is great - centrally located but with a peaceful, secluded feel. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone vacationing on Maui!

Dennis and Carolyn, There is so much to say about our wonderful experience in Maui and staying at your condo. Great general location to snorkel beaches, shopping, dining and golf on the island. Your condo is clean, beautifully appointed, well equipped for living and fun. Nothing like the morning breakfasts and evening pupu's on the patio enjoying the garden view and sunsets. We appreciated how the landscaping, pool area and parking lots were groomed and clean as well. Dennis and Carolyn, Ahhhh, our time in your condo was just perfect. I don't think we could have stayed at a better place with our kids. Maui Kamaole stood out to us as a class-act place to stay: quiet, lush gardens, not cheap and cheesy like some of the other places appeared to be. Thank you again for all the extras you leave available to guests, including books to read. Swede enjoyed reading the Will Rogers book while there. We will encourage our friends to contact you about staying at your place when they go to Maui. We really felt cared for by you guys and can't thank you enough. HOnestly, when we drove up the drive to the condo we couldn't believe we were going to stay there. The landscaping is exquisite. Flowers and palms everywhere. Where there isn't beautiful landscaping there's a pool, or tennis courts, everything right there. The condo was quiet and very pleasant. Just a few steps to the pool. Out back there are barbeques. Dennis and Carolyn were so helpful. They called us after our arrival to both welcome and orient us. What a generous offering. We plan to visit again....

Dear Dennis and Carolyn- We enjoyed renting your lovely condo in Maui. It is very comfortable and relaxing. Carolyn you have done a nice job of decorating with the newly painted walls and new living room furniture to the accents of bamboo plants and orchids, I especially loved the art work on the walls! I appreciated the kitchen being fully equipped with cooking utensils and serving ware. We spent alot of time at the beaches and did some sea kayaking and horse back riding down the crater, we truly enjoyed our Christmas vacation!

We were thrilled that this home felt more like someone's personal living space and not just a rental unit. Everthing we needed to spend a leisurely ten days was all made available to us. The kids particularly enjoyed the pool. It was nice to have such a large space to spend our relaxing "out of the sun" time.

Aloha Dennis and Carolyn! Thank you again for the use of your condo over the Christmas holidays. We had a fantastic holiday in Maui. The use of your condo was part of the reason we had such a good time. It was great to be able to live, cook and eat together as a family for a week. With the children being adults, we all took turns with the cooking and everyone helped. The little girls slept in the little alcove in the bedroom on the main level. It was wonderful and a holiday for all of us. Your book "Maui Revealed" was a great suggestion. The first morning there we all went to the Kihei Cafe which was great find. We also enjoyed Alexander's, Badda Bing Pizza, the Big Wave- (a new inexpensive but good restaurant near Long's Drug's) and our last night was enjoyed at "Sorrento's". Dec 24th in the morning was spent making our own leis at the Marriot for the holidays. The Eskimo Candy Fish was a good place to buy fish for BBQing. Thanks again for letting us rent your place and hope you may find some time to get there this winter. The beaches and sun were great! Health, happiness, and God's blessings to you in the New Year!

Hi Dennis: Just a brief note to let you know we are back home after a wonderful trip to Maui. Your condo worked out great for us as a home base and we definitely did not want to come back home! Interestingly, we met many people at the pool who've stayed in other condo complexes during prior trips and reported that they liked Maui Kamaole the best. We left your unit in good shape, and donated a couple of recreational items for future families: some pool toys and a mask/snorkel that I found in the water at Kamaole Beach (couldn't locate its owner). What a terrific time in Paradise. Your home was very cozy and furnished tastifully. I did everything including whale watching, helicopter ride and of course lots of shopping. “Last year was our first visit to Maui for our family of four. We loved Maui but our “place” left a lot to be desired. We decided to come back this year and stay somewhere nice. Your vacation home was what we all dreamed of as the perfect home away. Dennis and Carolyn, Thank you so much for the use of your wonderful condo in Kihei. We had a great time enjoying the weather, beach, pool, golf and food. Of course, Larry and Jane were a blast too. Two great people. Ask them to explain The First Annual Maui Oscar Party! I hope we can continue the new tradition. Larry and I had a great time golfing. Went three times (Makena, Wailea and Maui Dunes). Your condo is beautiful. We could move there. Too bad we have to make a living as well. Oh well, maybe living over there is just a goal. We highly recommend the snorkeling trip offered by The Pacific Whale Foundation. They were great. One of our daughters would like to get into Marine Biology. This was an eye opener for her. She wants to swim with the dolphins. We also saw a lot of Humpback Whales playing in the water. Lastly, the nearby beaches were wonderful. Thanks again. We truly loved the experience you allowed us to participate in!!

I absolutely loved your living room furniture and, if permitted, would air freight it home. The whole place is devine, the view of the central garden as well. Swam with the resident turtle at Kamaole Beach III, the most beautiful thrill underwater, in the world. The whole family, eight of us, had a great time celebrating my folks 50th wedding anniversary.
