Most roads have paved shoulders that are designated as a bicycle path. Golf courses, miniature golf, amusements parks, water sport rentals, deep-sea fishing, and island cruises within a short driving time.

Year Purchased: 2003
Pat and I live and work in Pennsylvania. I provide advocacy and supports for folks who have a developmental disability while Pat is the Home & School Visitor for a Reading area school district. While our three sons are now grown with lives of their own we all maintain a common bond and love for the beach and Topsail Island. We love the house and surroundings so much that we plan on retiring to Topsail Island in the near future.
Why the Owner Chose Surf City
Our family has vacationed on Topsail Island for the past 20 years. We immediately fell in love with the warm surf and the extraordinarily clean beach areas. Communting from PA has been well worth the drive to be embraced by the leisurely pace and warm atmosphere that flourishes in Surf City and on Topsail Island. The casual pace of living without sharing the roadways, the surf and the beaches with literally thousands as we experienced in New Jersey and Delaware made Topsail Island the perfect choice for our family.
The Unique Benefits of this House
From the rear screened porch and upper deck you have a beautiful view of the marshlands and the Intracoastal Waterway. We brought the Key West's Mallory Square custom of watching the sunset each night over the waterway - a wonderful way to close out a warm sunny day at the beach. Last year we bought 2 kayaks, which can be used around the marshlands and in the Intracoastal Waterway, that have provided an additional perspective of Topsail and the quiet peaceful surroundings.
