Nestled on the south-west facing corner of the newly renovated Historic National Biscuit factory is this gorgeously decorated, state of the art, live/work loft. Just about 2 miles east of the Staple Center, Club Nokia or the Convention Center, the Biscuit Building, once the home to thousands of white apron wearing cookie cutters, is now home to a hundred or so like-minded professionals and artists. The original oak floors, dripping crystal chandelier and towering Moroccan doors of this spectacular unit provide a cozy backdrop to the sweeping views of the Los Angeles skyline.

A large bedroom sits behind revolving glass doors, with a King size bed and private master bath. A second and third bed (queen sized) tuck away behind huge Moroccan doors that when closed ensure a completely separate spacious sleeping area.

The unit is 1800 square feet with 16-foot ceilings, a dozen 10-foot industrial windows, a modern kitchen with new appliances. The building's renovation was completed in 2007, and since has been a much sought after location to live and stay in downtown Los Angeles.

Once home, after a day out exploring, or working, our loft promises quiet and solitude. A trip downstairs to the grass lined Olympic sized saline pool or a quick run or elliptical at the gym across the street, promises the beginning to a beautiful evening at one of the many neighborhood Arts District restaurants of bars.

We also rent a second property outside of los angeles. A successful rental with a slew of guest comments. Search Bishop, fishing lodge and you'll find us.

I spent a full week in what I'm now used to call "The Loft" with my collegues: we were in L.A. for a show at the Convention Center and for the first time I decided to drop the usual, anonymous and over-rated hotel rooms for a more cozy accomodation. The best decision I made in 11 years of travels to California. The space and the light that Vicky's Loft could provide us can't simply be compared to the boreness of the average hotel room, but more than that what made us fall in love with "The Loft" was its warmth. At the end of a busy working day, we felt like "going home" and not "to the room". You can lay on one of the couch, confortable as beds. You can eat or work at the big table near the full-furnished kitchen. And, obviously, you can sleep in the beds, which are simply perfect to recover from a hard day's work! Even the convertible beds, that I doubted could be as confortable as a "proper beds" surprised me as they are very confortable, much more than the average hotel (not motel!) room. Two bathrooms are present with a big shower and a tub, three total sinks and plenty of space, towels were provided too for a "ready-in" living experience. And should you need it, there is a washing machine and a dryer cleverly hidden in the closet. Location was pretty unusual for me, as I was more used to Downtown, Hollywood, Santa Monica, El Segundo/LAX Area. I must say the surroundings of the "Biscuits Building" don't make the best impression the first time you drive through. But we had no problem whatsoever around the building, Downtown is just 10 minutes away, there's a Taxi Line around the corner and the complimentary parking lot is a blessing, considering how easy you can get a parking ticket in L.A. The building itself is fantastic, the security guards (24/7) kind and helpful, the neighbors so quiet that we were hardly aware of their presence, a convenience store is just feets away with anything you might need. If you need to travel to downtown L.A. for a business trip, I strongly advice you to consider this Loft. It can comfortably accomodate 6 guests, and the cost is lower than three average double rooms in L.A., no overnight parking fee. And, on top of that, you will enjoy a real, worm, cozy home. Priceless.

This is a really sweet loft, located in a very cool part of the warehouse/arts district near downtown. Super easy access to the 10, some great restaurants and bars nearby, and a beautifully decorated and appointed apt in a wonderful, historic building. Vicky, the owner, was great - very responsive, reachable, etc. It may not be for everyone but it worked just great for my wife and 2 little kids. I'll stay here next time I'm back in LA for sure.

The pictures barely do the loft justice. It is a spacious, beautifully-decorated, contemporary loft about a mile from downtown Los Angeles on a street with a good cafe/wine bar and restaurant. The space works really well for a group of 4 people -- the only issue at all is that open ceilings mean limited privacy in the bedrooms. Overall we loved our stay!

4 of us stayed here for over a week and had a lovely time. The loft is very spacious, warm, clean and comfortable. It is conveniently located in Downtown Los Angeles -- there are plenty of amazing places to eat nearby and a bunch of really great neighbourhood cafes and cocktail bars. We loved its proximity to Little Japan. Sushi! Also, it was easy to get from here to the other areas of LA. We took a dip in the pool and worked-out in the gym. The owner was extremely knowledgable and helpful. I would recommend this rental to everyone and would not hesitate to return.

We were in town for a convention, and we are so happy that we opted for this beautiful vacation loft, instead of a boring hotel room near the convention center. The space is stunning - beautifully furnished, with an exotic taste of luxury. Vicky was an incredibly gracious and accommodating host as well. We only wish we had had more time to spend at the loft to fully enjoy it and explore the Arts District. We will have to come back!
