Recently enjoyed several nights at Paramount Place. Wonderful house, AMAZING views, and beautiful area. We went on a couple's getaway, and the home was perfect (private, quiet, comfortable), but can easily see what a great spot for a big family (plenty of room, amenities for all ages). It's easy not to want to leave the house - scenery, hot tub, pool table, comfy couches). However, we found a lot of great day trips: Amicalola Falls, Fort Mountain State Park, Kangaroo Conservation Center (only open thurs - sat.), and the Ellijay Wildlife Rehabilitation Center (call 24 hrs in advance). The house is set up with everything we needed: good kitchen, grill, computer with internet access, washing machine/dryer. Take the owner's advice about stopping on the way for the first night's provisions, and getting a phone card. And, make sure you say hi to the neighbor's delightful dogs for us!

Hi Frank, I was wondering if the power ever returned to Paramount Place and hoping we had not left it an "impossible" job for your cleaning crew... we were a bit frazzled after 2 storms in one stay!!! We wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our stay so comfortable and pleasurable. I've NEVER found so many creature comforts and supplies in any other place that we've stayed in! Our children, grandchild, and dog truly enjoyed the entertainment of the neighbors' dogs, fire pit, basketball goal, swings, foosball, and pool table provided. Once we returned to the flat "swamp" lands of Louisiana, we continued to look out the window, desperately hoping that the awesome view from YOUR windows had followed us home. Like everyone has stated in their reviews: the pictures do not give it enough justice! My husband's parents will never forget their 50th anniversary, thanks to your family sharing such a gem of a place. You are truly Blessed.... Thanks again! Hey Frank,We must tell you how much we enjoyed the time in your beautiful mountain home. There were several great places to find wonderful food in the area, and we took advantage of the very well equipped kitchen to enjoy many meals right there in the house or on the deck. The views are fabulous, the air so clean, and the house leaves nothing more to ask for. There were great hikes, and lots of time together with dear friends who all complimented the comforts of the house (including our own welcoming committee with wagging tails and happy smiles every time we came or went – we loved the neighbor’s dogs!). We were able to be together to discuss politics and football and also able to move away from each other for private time napping or just reading. One of our members is an avid fly fisherman. He was very happy with the streams he found. The big TV was a challenge, but thanks to you and your directions, we were able to enjoy college football and the Sunday morning news shows! We also watched a series of old Paul Newman movies that came on one of the channel stations. It was a great week-end and we want to come back again. Do you enjoy the beach? If you are interested, we own a condo at Amelia Island and would be happy to talk with you about that. Please know that we would like to call on you again. Thanks for making your beautiful mountain home available to old folks like us who really enjoyed our time there.Sincerely,Robin

Our family meets halfway between Orlando and New Orleans each year. This was a great location. We spent a day at Amicalola Falls State Park and climbed the 600 steps to the top of the falls. We visited Fort Mountain State Park with their beach and paddle boats. We spent a day in Dahlonega -rode horses- (unguided) at Sunny Farms--- It was great. Then lunch and a visit to the Consolidated Gold Mines. We fished the Cartecay River at a spot off GA Highway 52 - turn at the bear canoing house and follow that road all the way back to the end at the river. It was a great spot for the kids to play and there was a waterfall. We went to Blue Ridge amd rode the train to McCaysville TN. That was really neat/ Carter's Lake was beautiful with a great beach for the kids. No boats worth renting though... Only a party boat for max 8 people. The house is wonderful and we all enjoyed the hot tub immensly. The bedroom setup was great for our families and thanks for the genrous amount of towels. We never ran out. We enjoyed the porch adn great room with the home theater. Our cooks enjoyed the kitchen and the gas stove was super. The pancake griddle was great. Had a great time!Waterhouse, Kenner LACouvillon, Debary FLLandry, Metairie FL

Frank and Family,WOW! The view is AMAZING!!! We have had such a wonderful time here this week. We enjoyed going on hikes and playing by the rivers and lakes at the many state parks that we visited (Amicalola Falls, Fort Mountain, Cloudland Canyon) Our 3 year old son and our golden retriever loved it here. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful place. We also visited Chickamogua and Chattahoochee National Military Park and we went to Carter's Lake. It was so nice allowing our dog to swim in the lakes around here without having to worry about alligators. We think this is the most fun he has had in his life. We all love it here and wish we didn't have to leave so soon.thanksJason, Stephanie, Tekeoah and Jetta (family dog)

We were in town for a baseball tournament and looking to stay somewhere(besides a hotel...) where we could rest and relax. This was perfect! The boys said to tell everyone "to be nice to the dog" (neighbors dog...) She actually barked (a rare event...) the other night so we went out on the deck to see what was going on - could hear some growling in the woods and the dog was bristled up. The boys are sure it was a "bear". Anyway the say that the dog protects us so be nice to her! Hope we come back we have more time to see things and not so much baseball. We were so pleansantly surprised and could certainly not has asked for more. The only regret we had was we did too much sight-seeing and did not get to spend more time in this spectacular home. Dear Frank and Tisha (Hope to meet you Tisha next time Tisha, next time I come to Georgia to visit Frank and Mettina) The house is spectacular! Can't wait to see the next one! You all have done a wonderful job designing - building - decorating this wonderful mountain home and retreat. Thanks for thinking of EVERYTHING. I listened to Mettina try to describe it and saw the pictures from the web- but neither do it justice. (Even Mettina couldn't "embellish" enough!!!) And to be so close to Cumming and surrounding urban environments and yet so far away! I love it! Keep driving this you two - you are really good at it. That is the best dream catcher I have ever seen - and I live in Colorado and have the Pueblo's and reservations of the Southwest. Thank you both for such a special treat. We had a great visit, wonderful home, magnificant views. Our dog Rankin got along great with "the girls" next store, Lady and Nicki. We went for a walk every morning, the five of us, plus occasionally Sam who lives at the camper at the bottom of the hill. We mostly did the "local loop" walking down the hill until reaching a small road off the right before Sam's place. If you just follow the road and stay to the right it brings you back to the house in 15-20 minutes. Rankin let us play golf twice, once at Birch River near Dahlonega and once at Brasstown Valley Resort. Both were fun. The rest of the time we spent hiking with Rankin. We covered the trails and the 425 steps at Amicalola Falls, and went to Carter's Lake, Fort Mountain, and did four hikes near Rich Mountain off Aska Road south of Blue Ridge. Great Earss is dog friendly and a great place for lunch or desert in the old town of Blue Ridge. Grilled at the house almost every night. Found the SuperWal-Mart just south of Ellijay on 515 to be a great source for food and everything else. Hope to come back soon...8/21 - 9/2 2005 Mary and David and Rankin (90lb Black Lab)

Dear Frank And Tisha,The past four days and nights in your beautiful home has been a wonderful experience for us all. It was the perfect setting for a much needed get away with friends. The six of us had a chance not only to enjoy Ellijay, but Dahlonega, where we ate at the "Corkscrew" resturaunt, (wonderful) and saw the play at the theater next store, (Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat). We rafted down the Ocoee River, trucked over to Helen GA to Switzerlandtown, had dinner in Jasper at the Woodbridge Inn and Resturaunt, (charming and had the best french onion soup I ever had in my life) We laughed, relaxed, played board games and the guys enjoyed the pool table. Before our trip we prayed for somewhere to go and enjoy some times away from our hectic routines and we believe the Lord les us to you!"For the Lord GOd is a sun and a shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly" ps84:11Meeting you was a blessing and your home was a 'VERY GOOD THING"Thanks for providing a wonderful opportunity for us all to make great memories.Glyn and Trudy, Jim and Lynn, Allen and Judy
