  I had such a great time. I would absolutely stay here again. Pat and Lori were so hospitable, from the maps and guides they provided to enjoying the island, to including the ingredients necessary to make Pina Coladas in the kitchen! The kitchen had everything--high quality pans, plate, silverware. The location was 5 minutes from the beach. I rented the Jeep; it worked nice even when going through the giant potholes near the southern beaches of Vieques (which are incredible and sparsely populated). Jay, a local who helps manage the place, gave great recommendations on where to go in Vieques, marked ideal beaches on the map, and gave an awesome tour of town after picking me up at the airport. Highly recommended.

  Gorgeous view, total calm, chaise lounges on the patio, beautiful inside and out, comfortable bed with extra layers of softness, lots of soft clean towels.... The owners provided everything we needed, and more: snorkel equipment, books, lots of information on Vieques, a vehicle in excellent condition available to rent, coolers and beach chairs, washer and dryer... We would recommend this highly to anyone wanting beauty, quiet, and easy access (5 minutes by car) to town for good food, fine art, a bar with live music. And of course the beaches - irresistible. We plan to return.

  Beso Del Caribe is a a wonderful place to stay on Vieques. Jay picked us up and gave us an orientation tour of Isabella prior to taking us to the property. We were able to have an early check in which was very well appreciated. He then gave us more orientation with a map and let us ask any questions about the property, grill etc. We also took their Jeep which was really great, easy and hassle free. The property is amazing! 2 beautiful rooms with king beds, a large walk in shower in the bathroom with lots of fluffy towels. The kitchen is well equipped and they started us off with a pina colada package which was a well received touch. Let me say your first reaction to the interior will be WOW!!! and then the deck with the view 180 degree ocean view!!...add a pina colda...well let me say it doesn't get better than this. We enjoyed our stay in this exceptional property on a hilltop overlooking serene pastoral views down to the sea. We swam at the local beach which was empty and was a quick walk down the hill. We took the jeep to many other beaches. We enjoyed visits from the sweet, friendly local dogs that came to visit us daily. All in all a wonderful stay. Pat and Lori were very easy to work with for the arrangements. Jay made our coming and going very easy. This property is a gem. Thank you Pat, Lori and Jay Geoffrey Richmond VA

  We just spent 6 nights in Vieques and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Beso del Caribe. Everything was as advertised or better. Pat and Lori were very easy to work with and Jay, the property manager who lives nearby, was especially helpful. Really impressed with the extras -- best equipped and best stocked kitchen we've seen and we have stayed in several Home Away properties. Great selection of beach equipment, coolers etc--there were even several bottles of Sun Block, Sun Burn cream, bug repellent, and first aid supplies in the bathroom -- what a great touch. Spent our mornings and evenings admiring the view from the covered porch--spent all day at the wonderful beaches. We highly recommend Beso del Caribe.

  I stayed at Beso for a week in December, 2012 and it was a wonderful vacation. The property is beautifully decorated with a true Caribbean feel. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you need if you want to cook, and there are plenty of small restaurants in Isabella and Esperanza on the Malecon if you want to eat out. The patio gets great sunlight in the afternoon, allowing you to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view of the island and the beach. There's not much within walking distance, so you'll want a car. But getting around the towns is very easy. When I checked into the property, they provided me with a local map showing where all the highlights were and a binder full of ideas and suggestions for my stay. Whether you're going to do something adventurous or if you just want to hang out on the beach, Beso is a beautiful condo and you will enjoy every minute of your stay there.

  We spent 4 days in this slice of paradise and were very sad to leave! We often rent houses and apartments for our vacations and we have done so all over North America and Europe. Let me say that we have never had a better experience! This apartment is amazing - new, clean, bright and pretty, and better equipped than any one I have ever seen. There is everything you'll need - snorkeling equipment, beautiful beach chairs, amazing kitchen... The owners even provided us with everything we'll need to make frozen Pina Coladas, which we enjoyed on the amazing porch with a breathtaking view to the ocean. We grilled in the yard and ate outside - it was wonderful. The person who met us was extremely nice and helpful - he told us all we needed to know to have a great time on Vieques. We had an unforgettable time and will definitely be going back to this beautiful island and this amazing rental! Thank you!

  I'm tempted not to post how wonderful Vieques was because then you might come and it might change. The island is something special: beautiful beaches, laid back atmosphere, free range horses, unspoiled snorkeling. We marveled at the biobay and my husband swam with a sea turtle. We loved the Vieques culture. It's definitely not shiny, much more authentic than resorts and casinos. We enjoyed buying grilled meat from the side of the road for lunch, seeing locals riding horses through town, shopping in the market, grilling just-caught fish we bought at the pier. As to the rental, there was nothing we wanted that it did not have. The rental was adorable, well stocked, and spotlessly clean. Jay took good care of us, pointing out where to shop and places to go. Sadly, we had a visit from TS Isaac during our stay. Jay made sure we were battened down and gave us clear instructions as to what we should do in various scenarios. We felt very taken care of. Luckily, there was no damage beyond churning up the water for snorkeling. We made lemons into lemonade and enjoyed a few days of boogie boarding on beaches that are normally almost without surf. A few questions I had before I went: Grocery shopping was just fine. There are a few things you probably can't find if you're looking for specifics, but normal stuff was in good supply. Prices were even lower than I pay in the DC area for many things, so it was not a problem. We rented a car and you'll want to do that. The roads are as bad as they say. A Jeep is required for some areas, but we scrimped and just had a sedan. Our kids loved the beaches. Even more they loved the feeling of freedom and space on the island. They adored having dogs and horses wander through our yard, seeing iguanas, seeing geckos and lizards, picking coconuts from the trees. The beaches are indescribable. We already want to go back.

  I stayed at Beso Del Caribe with my two daughters and we had a wonderful stay! The view of the ocean is beautiful from a hill top, and we liked that we were not in the middle of town, but in a peaceful, quiet location. We had debated about staying in Esperanza which we thought was closer to the beaches, but were really glad we decided against that, especially when we realized that the gate to Blue, Red, Secret, and Garcia beaches is not that much closer to Esperanza than to Isabell. Beso Del Caribe is located about 4 minutes east of Isabell. The inside was really cute, and well decorated, and the kitchen had everything we could have hoped for, even a blender! The beds were really comfortable, and the AC in the bedrooms was enough to cool the whole apartment down if you shut the windows. We used their snorkeling equipment for two of us. If you have more in your party, you might want to bring more if you need it. After our stay we visited the mainland for a day, and I was wishing we were back in Vieques! I am hoping to go back with my husband another year, and would definitely like to stay there again.

  My good friend and I needed a vacation badly due to our demanding jobs. Beso Del Caribe was amazing. We spent each day on a multitude of beaches snorkeling and swimming. We rarely saw more than a dozen people. It was the perfect get away. Beso del Caribe is located on a beautiful hillside overlooking the ocean. We spent each evening sitting on the deck and just listening to the waves and enjoying the relaxing atmosphere. We spent our nights just talking and laughing and unwinding. I can' t remember the last time I was that relaxed. Pat and Lori have thought of everything! The unit is stocked with whatever you need. We were greeted each morning by the many wild horses and even a little cat that loved us by the end of the week. We plan to go back....we saw so many fish and even my friend swam with a sea turtle by chance. You can't do better if you are in search of a quiet, and calm time.

  I've stayed in hotels & rentals all over the world but this is more than a rental. It has everything you might possibly need because the owners really did live on the island full time and they thought of everything. Massive amounts of toys, snorkel equipment, fancy beach chairs, tons of bath and beach towels, books, games, a rental car, a memory foam bed with super fluffy pillows, first aid kit, matches, a fully stocked kitchen with sandwich baggies, flashlights, tupperware, drink coolers, pina coladas...they did not skimp on anything. The location is perfect - close enough to town, well lit for driving home at night compared to other parts of the island, with perfect views of the ocean off the huge porch. The property manager is outstanding, available by phone at all hours, and he even provides round trip transportation to and from the airport or ferry. It's gorgeous and effortless. Just pack your swimsuit and show up - you will have an amazing vacation as a couple or a family. And be sure to rent their car - there's no better deal on the island and you will love the convenience of exploring without the hassle of publicos (local taxi service). The only issue is that the TV is small but who goes to paradise to watch TV anyway?
