This large (30 square meter - 322 square feet) luxury studio is located in an ancient residence of Louis XIII's gardsmen, named "La Maison des Trois Jardins," the house of three gardens. It opens on to a classified 17th century courtyard. This private residence is approached from Rue Mouffetard or from Rue Tournefort.
La Rue Mouffetard is one of Paris’ historical streets a few steps away from the famous Place de la Contrescarpe, a mere 100 meters from the Panthéon. It's an easy walk to Notre Dame, the Boulevard Saint Germain, the Boulevard Saint-Michel, La Sorbonne, and the Jardin du Luxembourg. Practically dedicated to pedestrians only, the "Rue Mouffetard" is celebrated for its daily market, its world cuisine or traditional French restaurants, and its old stone houses. It is a village preserved in its Parisian soul.
The apartment itself, completely redecorated in november 2003, is made up of one large room with a double bed, exposed wooden beams, illuminated by two vast French windows which overlook the gardens, a fully-equipped kitchen, and bathroom with bathtub (refer to plan). This ground floor apartment enjoys an absolute calm and a complete safety. It really is a magic place.
Nearest Metro Station : Place Monge (150 meters), Bus lines 27,47,84.

This small apartment, located in the Latin Quarter, is tucked away in a beautiful courtyard setting, yet is just steps away from the Rue Mouffetard with its many shops and restaurants. The small kitchen makes it is easy to prepare light meals if you want, or just step out to one of the many local food shops. The apartment is a very short walk to the Place Monge Metro station which has easy access to the entire city.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+.

What makes this place work is the double courtyard set-up. Rue Mouffetard is crazy night and day, but you're really protected from it all in a studio that looks out on a quiet courtyard and is actually a little closer to (peaceful) Tournefort than Mouffetard. It might be a little different in the summer with the windows open, but I doubt it's ever too bad. The studio is small but has pretty much everything you'll need. Tiny rustic kitchen. Full-service bathroom. And the Latin Quarter is so great. Go out the Tournefort side and you're quickly on l'Estrapade, walking toward Luxembourg (or the Pantheon or the Sorbonne area). Go out the Mouffetard side and scramble down quickly to the lovely Place Monge, where there's a cute open air market on many days. It's also your Metro stop. Catch a solo piano concert a little ways down the hill at Eglise St. Ephrem (watch for posters). Some lovely restaurants, none of them on Mouffetard. Go to Buisson Ardent or l'AOC both in the Jussieu area. Go out the back gate to Le Resto (lighter, more Mediterranean). Walk down to Le Pre Verre for the formule lunch. Your landlords will be nice, straightforward, easy to work with.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+.

You could pretend you were French for a few days. Excellently located and so tranquil in the walled courtyard which was even more lovely then the photos. Paris is very accessible from this little gem, and very comfortable for two. Thanks so muchRecommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, age 55+.

This was the perfect location for Paris shopping, restaurants, metro and many area tourist musts! The courtyard entry separated the busy night life of Rue Mouffetard with serenity. The photos very accurately depicted the apartment but in no way can reveal the feeling of peace when you enter the courtyard and shut out the hectic reality of life.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car.

The studio is exactly as pictured and in a fabulous location. The owner was extremely helpful and available. Larger than most small hotel rooms with a large bath and convenient washer/dryer and kitchen facilities. A terrific place to stay.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 5/5

We spent a month in this wonderful Mouffetard apartment and did not want to leave! Much nicer than staying in a hotel and cheaper too. Quiet and beautiful courtyard gardens are surrounded by a lively neighborhood filled with restaurants, shops and small supermarkets right in the middle of the Latin Quarter. We hope to return soon!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

My son and I loved staying in the rue Mouffetard studio apartment. The rue Mouffetard is a safe, bustling area with interesting sights, sounds, and smells all day long yet the apartment is in a quiet courtyard with no noise. There are plenty of inexpensive restaurants and shops in the area and there are two metro stops within a five minute walk. We loved buying crepes right next to the apartment then enjoying the quiet courtyard atmosphere before heading to bed. The fresh flowers and well stocked kitchen made us feel very much at home. Delightful!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

The apartment was as nice as pictured and the apt manager service was excellent. service: Our arrival was delayed 3 hrs due to airline troubles and the manager was advised of schedule change through email and he was waiting for us upon arrival. During the initial rental arrangement period the manager was very responsive to our emails and he came be Sunday evening during our stay to help with DSL internet connection issues. Apartment: The apartment was clean and he provided welcoming fresh flowers and stocked refrigerator with OJ and water. Apartment condition was as nice as pictured, and with larger size ,much better than our last 3*** Paris hotel room.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
