This home offers a tranquil setting on the Sound with natural light streaming in during the morning and throughout the day and with sparkling shore lights reflecting off the water in the evening. It was not only a delightful home to stay (clean and comfortable) but also offered many recreational opportunities (kayaks, bikes and great decks). Its location on the Sound provides easy access to other fun locations -- Hood Canal, Poulsbo, Bainbridge Island and Port Townsend to name a few. If you are a boater, birder, beachcomber or book reader, this is a perfect spot to retreat. We have rented homes on the Sound for the last 5 years; this is one we look forward to returning to ... soon!Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My husband and I spent 3 very enjoyable days at the house. It was so relaxing and quiet. The house was perfect providing everything you need. My husband enjoyed kayaking. September was the perfect time no rain and temperature more than pleasant. To be able to leave the heat and bugs of the south was truly a gift. We will definitely go back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Had a wonderful stay at this very special home. I have used VRBO all over the world. This one was definitely a great deal. The custom home was beautiful. Larger than it appears in the photos. Very private and quite. Property was very clean. Only 10 minutes to the Bremerton ferry. I would recommend this property to anyone that wants a real special place to stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This was the perfect place for my family to get away for a weekend. Tastefully furnished and very comfortable, it was a great place to relax. There is a huge deck with the sound of waves right below you. But my favorite was waking up each morning in the master bedroom with a view of nothing but water all along the opposite wall. It was astonishing. My two kids, ages 9 and 12, played for hours along the shore exploring and collecting shells. The kayaking was great. It is so peaceful and beautiful out on the water. And even though it feels very secluded, it was only a few minutes drive to a coffee shop and not much farther to great restaurants. But you never really have to leave as there’s a fully equipped kitchen and a BBQ grill. We’ll definitely be going back many times.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This has been our favorite place to stay out of all our Puget Sound visits over the past several years, so glad we discovered it!. The house is a little tricky to find and down a steep narrow street, but wow is it worth it! The house is newer and was very accomodating to our family. So private, we could see and hear the waves through the open windows and doors, spent time out on the two decks and on the rocky beach. One afternoon the clouds parted, the sun shone warm on the water and a ride in the kayaks renewed our spirits. We took advantage of the full kitchen and the BBQ grill saving on our food budget. The location is near the Ferry, Bainbridge Island and Poulsbo for fun activities. We can hardly wait to return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

A lovely home in a perfect location. A charming and cozy place that is smartly equipped and tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect, right on a very nice rocky beach with privacy, great kayaking and bird watching, short kayak or drive to clamming and oyster gathering. We regularly rent for weekend get aways along the Puget Sound and this is true gem.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: We originally purchased a cabin at this location in the mid 1990's when it was just the 2 of us. We used it as our weekend getaway. Once our family expanded, we built a new beach house on the location around 2004 for our expanded family to enjoy. We look forward to sharing it with you.
Why the Owner Chose Bremerton:
We really enjoy this location because it offers a private setting with magical views, yet close to shopping, entertainment and restaurants. It's the best of both worlds.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
There are so many options -- from complete relaxation (reading books and walking the beach) to outdoor activities such as running, hiking, waterskiing, kayaking, and boating.
