Channel Marker 206 is a 2nd floor, oceanfront condo accommodating 4-7 guests with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. There is a beautiful oceanside swimming pool. Features include HVAC, all-electric kitchen, living-dining area, telephone, cable TV, washer/dryer inside unit, dishwasher, microwave and a private balcony. No pets are allowed. This condo was newly renovated in 2010.
This family-friendly condo located in Surfside Beach looks out onto miles of picturesque beaches and the magnificent Atlantic Ocean. The condo is a short walk from the Surfside Pier and various restaurants. The charming town of Surfside Beach has many attractions to offer, including: The Brookgreen Gardens, a water park, the kid friendly Ripley’s Aquarium, Fish Hook Charters, great for adults and children, and of course, all the beach time and fun in the sun you can handle! Enjoy a relaxing vacation in our beautiful condominium and let the sound of the ocean lull you to sleep each night.
If Channel Marker 206 is not available for the dates you'd like to vacation, or if you have a larger group to accomodate, no worries! We own another Channel Marker unit, just one floor up. The VRBO number for Channel Marker 304 is 311106.

MASTER SUITE: Spacious and includes a King-sized bed, private bath and a flat screen TV.
SECOND BEDROOM: Captain's bunk (full on the bottom, twin up top) sleeps 3 comfortably.
All bedrooms are equipped with pillows, linens, comforters, quilts and/or blankets to accommodate six people.

Living Area:
Our living room has comfortable furniture with a panoramic view of the sand dunes and ocean. There is a TV, a VCR, and a DVD player, as well as a sliding glass door that opens to the ocean view balcony.

Fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and flatware, dishwasher, Microwave, Oven, and Stove.
Washer/Dryer located inside condo.

This fantastic destination is located just steps away from the wide, sandy beach where you can collect shells, play in the ocean, or catch some rays. It was my pleasure to spend the month of February in this comfortable Channel Marker property. Since retiring a few years ago, it had been my intention to spend some time in the Myrtle Beach area during the winter to escape the cold weather of the north. When my husband was stiil living, we traveled to Myrtle Beach several times a year for two decades, so familiarity with the area and friends who live there, made this the perfect destination for an extended stay. This condo was the a great location choice: beachfront, close to friends, goods and services. The Grand Strand covers an extensive area, but most of what I needed for the basics of living was within a mile or two. With friends in the area, this condo was perfect for entertaining as well. Surfside Beach is advertised as the Family Beach. There is only one highrise, with the remainder of the town being residential homes or condo buildings of 3 stories. There are several commercial pockets with restaurants and services, plus a fishing pier. Go a mile to King's Highway and you can find any kind of entertainment, food, shopping, etc. Not far, but a vehicle is necessary to enjoy all. Much of the property was recently renovated and nicely furnished and decorated. It was also well-appointed from a new, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, 2 flat screen tv's, and a supply of linens and paper products. For a warm weather stay, there were beach chairs and toys. Since the weather was fortunately pleasant and warmer than expected, I spent many hours on the oceanfront balcony enjoying coffee with the sunrise, reading, or just watching activity on the beach and water, when not walking on the beach. There is a lighted swimming pool between the building and the dunes, which some guests used for sunbathing in February. Parking is off street and screened from the road by a hedge. The condo consists of a long entrance hall, great room with kitchen and dining, large master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and washer /dryer. The second bedroom is smaller with a double bed/ loft combo and full bath in the hall. There is ample storage space. Last, but not least, renting from the people at Marion's Place Properties was another big plus for this experience. The staff was friendly, helpful, and so efficient. The local realtor, property manager for the Channel Marker building, communicated well with the Marion's Place office and vice versa. A plumbing problem was quickly repaired.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
