In an ideal location close to all attractions, commerce, restaurants, freeways and public transportation we offer a sunny, quiet, completely detached, independent, and comfortable 700 sq ft (~70m2) house/cottage in front of a landscaped garden. The Cottage is Victorian style with modern upgrades, and has been fully renovated in 2008. The Cottage sleeps 4 comfortably. The Cottage is a legal fully detached unit, located away from the street in the back of a Victorian property, is accessible interdependently through a driveway and secluded behind the private garden. Parking is very easy off the street as Noe Valley does not have permit parking and there is a school across the street which leaves plenty of street parking within a block distance. The convenient driveway can be used to load/unload.
It features high ceilings, large skylights, excellent light throughout and a direct garden view and access. You enter from the street through a flat driveway directly into the garden. Inside you come in a large living area with a fully equipped kitchen, large dining table, office table, and sofa..On the left is an independent bedroom with a queen bed, and a very large closet. On the right is a living room/sleeping area (can be separated by curtains) with a sofa bed, TV and phone. A small barbecue as well as table, chairs, and long chair is available outside on a brick deck to enjoy the garden. The unit also features a full bath and a separate in house washer/dryer. TV with Digital Cable and DVD player, internet radio, Wi-Fi, and local phone is also available. Parking is very easy on the street as one side of the block has a middle school. The driveway can be used to store bikes.

It was a nice place but there was a lot of cub web in bathroom . The dryer takes for ever to dry anything not a very green machine. We were hardley in he cottage . Carla was very nice and it was very nice location.Recommended for: Age 55+.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, dear Carla, for providing us with the most perfect setting to enjoy our beautiful week in your fabulous city; we absolutely loved every minute of our stay and are so grateful to you for opening up your darling cottage to us! We fell in love with the Noe Valley neighborhood and felt so relaxed as we enjoyed exploring the lovely parks, restaurants, and shops! We opted not to rent a car and the MUNI could not have been easier to access! Each morning we walked just a few short blocks and hopped right on the light rail to head into the city for the day's adventures; it was a dream and we were able to do so much so easily that it felt like 10 vacations in one! This was our first cross-country vacation with our 10-month old and we will be forever grateful to Carla for making such a smooth, relaxing trip possible; she and her associate Carolina were unbelievably lovely, gracious, and welcoming and took such amazing care of us! They provided us with a high chair, toys, pack and play, tub, and stroller; having all of these amenities so readily available to us enhanced the ease of the trip making it a true vacation! The whole week was absolutely perfect, and we will always treasure the memories we created as a young family. Thank you so much, dear Carla, for helping make this vacation so amazing! My wife and I stayed here for three days on a trip up the California coast from San Diego to San Francisco. We chose Noe Valley because my sister-in-law lives there and we wanted the experience of staying in a neighborhood,not a tourist area. We couldn't have been happier. Carla was the most gracious and charming host. We had an early dinner reservation our first night and had some trouble with the dryer in the unit and Carla actually dried and folded our clothes even though she was getting her two children ready to go way for the weekend. Amazing. The unit was better than described. It's so spacious, bright and airy. The bed and furniture are very comfortable. The unit was very clean and well stocked with utensils, dishes and cooking equipment if you needed them. I would highly recommend Clipper Cottage if you want a true San Francisco experience.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My daughter and I enjoyed a week in San Francisco and our lovely cottage stay. It was clean and comfortable and extremely convenient to anything you might want around the city. Since it is located well off the busy street and had a private garden in front, it was very quiet and restful. We had plenty of room to entertain friends for dinner. Our host was very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend Clipper Cottage for your trip to the city.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed with my husband and our two kids (9 and 12) for 17 nights. Everything was as described by Carla, the owner. Also the reviews were accurate. We fell in love with the place and the neigbourhood. You do not need to rent a car. Public transportation available only half a block, at the corner or three blocks. Any of the two take you around perfectly well. We spent a week without the car and the rest of the time we rented one. There was enough place for free parking around. I would definitely come again and would recommend it to my friends. In fact, we already did!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children.

We stayed in Clipper Cottage for just over a week in August 2012. The cottage is safe and very secure in Carla's back garden. Clipper Cottage is clean, really well equipped, quite large and a lovely place to make "home" for our first US destination. It is really close to public transportation and excellent shopping and eating along 24th Street. Carla was a charming host and made us feel very welcome without being too present! This is the perfect place for a family to relax and enjoy the comforts of home after touring the city. My husband , 11yr old son and I stayed here for 5 nights in the first week of April 2012. The house is as pictured. We wanted a place where we could relax and eat dinner after wonderful long days of touring around. We also wanted to feel like part of the neighborhood - and we did when we would greet Carla at the Whole Foods around the corner! Coffee shops and restaurants close. The house was a perfect set up for a couple with a child - open living room and kitchen. The location was great, parking no problem, public transportation close. We spent a day at Apple and Google, and then one up at Muir Woods and Point Reyes, so we needed the car. Walking around San Francisco is so much fun. Carla was helpful and flexible. She gave us the priceless tip about House of Air in Chrissy Field - and others. We would absolutely stay here again. Thanks so much, Carla! Hope you're well. This was one of our most positive experiences with a VRBO rental. All of the reviews were spot on. The pictures accurately reflect the simple, yet ample living spaces. We were thrilled with the quiet neighborhood, nearby shopping/eateries, and Delores Mission Park (our little girl LOVED the new playground there). After this stay, we will find it hard to return to any 4-star hotel in the City. Noe Valley truly felt like a home away from home.
