Spent a week at this cottage while in the area getting our boat ready for launch. Very clean. Felt like home as soon as we walked in the door. The cottage is in a quiet location and close to Bucks Harbor which is a beautiful spot. The owners of this cottage are a pleasure to deal with. A very relaxing week. Thanks.

I spent a long weekend at the cabin and wish I'd had more time. It was clean, comfortable, quiet and in a beautiful setting. Buck's Harbor, including the store and restaurant, great hiking at John B. Mountain, and wi-fi at the town library were all within easy walking distance. Breathtaking scenery was a quick drive in any direction. The accommodations couldn't have been better, and Matt and Katherine were helpful, informative and wonderful hosts. I definitely will be back next year!

I stayed in this cottage with my parents, wife and a small baby boy for several days. This cottage is well maintained and has pretty much everything you need for daily life, washer, drier, fridge, pots, dishes, silverware etc. We had to boil water for my son because he drinks warn milk, and there is a water boiler. The owner also had the light on when he knew that I would arrive at night. Thank you, Matthew!

My husband, my two-year old and I stayed at this cabin while we were in Maine recently for the weekend. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The cabin was immaculately clean, beautifully appointed and nice and quiet. Our hosts were wonderful to work with and we really had a chance to relax and unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. I would highly recommend this special little spot!

Cabin is perfect. Very clean. Very quiet. Mornings on the screened porch are sublime. 1/2 mile to dock and fresh lobster. Local community is excellent. Easy drive to Bar Harbor. Hosts are very helpful and accommodating. We will come back.

This cabin is in all ways a perfect get-a-way. We stayed a week, toured the whole area, the kitchen allowed us to have two meals a day "at home" and then a treat at local pubs, docks and restaurants. This is the best vacation rental we have ever had.

The cabin was cozy, warm, and secluded, with easy access to the surrounding cape and the quaint fishing community of Buck's Harbour. Our hosts were friendly, helpful, and accommodating and made sure we had a lovely stay. I would absolutely recommend the cabin to anyone looking for a quiet retreat on the Maine coast.

We stayed at this wonderful cabin for a week in July and could not have been happier. It was spotlessly clean. The kitchen included everything we needed (and then some -- a dishwasher and washer/dryer!) There's a choice of dining locations -- inside the cabin, at the table on the screen porch or out at the picnic table by the charcoal grill. We spent a lot of time on that screen porch. It's a great vantage point to watch fireflies through the evening. The location is great -- very near Buck's Harbor. We enjoy birding and the nearby Holbrook Sanctuary was a delight. The owners are terrific. Highly recommended.

My family and I had a wonderful time for our week stay in June. The cabin was wonderful and exactly as described and vry clean. Our host had fresh flowers for us on the screened porch table, and Maine was lovely as the lupine was blooming everywhere. The cabin was exactly as described. The first bedroom reminded me of my grandmothers, quilt and antique furniture. The second bedroom had a trundle bed. The kitchen was set up for those who like to cook, and the basics including laundry and dishwashing and washer detergent were there which was great as we traveled from Georgia. I was able to make two pies: blueberry and then a lobster pot pie for Father's Day but there a good restaurants near by. The location was easy to find, and it wast not touristy at all which for us is a real plus. It was close to a post office which we mailed post cards from. We went to Camden one day, spent a day whale watching in Bar Harbor, and another day at Acadia-- it was all within an easy driving distance. Blue Hill was also a delightful town, and there is a good grocery store (chain) and a food co-op there. There were good shops and a great library who even let my husband get a card! Our host was very helpful, giving us information for the best whale watching, and bringing us whathever would make our stay more comfortable. It was a great way for us to unplug and just be togehter as a family. The cabin had lots of games, and some good books. We highly recommend it!

We (2 ppl.) stayed at this property for one week in July and loved it. It was very clean and freshly painted with what seemed like brand new furnishings and plenty of space inside and out. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch for dining and reading. The cabin is conviniently close (about one mile) to Bucks Harbor Village and Yacht Club, but is on the lower end of the price range for this area. It is also on a quiet country road so very good for relaxing. The owners are a friendly local couple that live about 7 minutes away and were very pleasant to deal with. Highly recommended!
