My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grant Gulch house. It was the most peaceful, quiet and beautiful place we've ever stayed in this area. The house has all the amenities you need and is full of sunshine to start your day. It was clean and comfortable with a nice open layout just as described. The views from the deck and the hot tub are beyond compare as well and we really hated to leave. Zion Park is less than 15 minutes away and when you drive back to the house, you leave the crowds and hustle of the park behind. This house is a fantastic retreat while visiting this area and we highly recommend it. We also recommend the farmers market at the Bit n Spur each Saturday and the Hirishi produce stand on the main road to town.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

My sister and I absolutely fell in love with this house and its surroundings. The house is a home you've been welcomed into warmly by Helen--comfy furniture and beds, skylights and big windows make this a bright and airy place to stay. The views are much more spectacular than the pictures convey--sunrises, sunsets, clouds, sun, the view of the mountains is always changing. The kitchen is well appointed, the two bedrooms are on either side of the house so there is lots of privacy. You can walk out the door and go for a good hike into the hills or down the road to Grafton, a ghost town. You can sit on the patio and watch the lizards and hummingbirds do their thing. Lots of hikes close by, as well as all that has to offer. We also used this as a base to go to Bryce and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Just can't say enough how much we loved this house--confession: I cried when we had to leave!! Also the house was clean; Helen is helpful and always available; I would recommend this to just about everyone, especially if you like peace and quiet and solitude. We loved being away from the crowds at that Parks. A great place for artists to paint or draw, for writers to write, for those with a spiritual bent to meditate. Thank you Helen for welcoming us so warmly and for making us feel right at home. We sure hope to be back!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Wow! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grant Gulch. This house is beautifully carved into the side of the canyon. Look forward to getting away from it all. Here you will experience peace and quiet, awesome desert views and unforgettable starry nights. The house itself is secluded, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Barbeque some steaks or relax in the hot tub in this remarkable setting. The fresh tulips waiting for us were a welcome surprise. From here we toured Zion, Bryce and returned via a awesome drive on Utah 143 (the second highest paved road in the U.S.). If you choose this route, check road conditions first, have a full tank of gas and plan on spending the whole day. Drive with care as the grade approaches 13% at times. Thank you Helen and Harry for your hospitality. I hope to return someday soon. I've traveled a lot and rented lots of homes in the process and this one is my all-time favorite. The house itself is simple and beautiful: large, open common areas and two bedrooms at each end, all with lots of windows and amazing views. The site is one-of-kind, and the house is built into the side of a hill so that the side that faces the road is completely hidden. (We were here in the fall but I bet this design goes a long way toward keeping the house cool in the summer months). The other side faces a spectacular view that we never tired of. The patio with hottub and hammock are so relaxing. The hottub at night, with the amazing starry sky, is something I hope to return to some day. The house is not fancy or overdone but the hosts thought of everything you'll need to be comfortable. I really love this place.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Spectacular views of Zion, within a 15 minute drive to the southern park entrance. Walk to Grafton ghost town, eat and shop in Springdale at park entrance. House is nicely appointed, clean and comfortable; very well managed. Secluded and private. The photos don't really do it justice. We would love to stay here again. Lots of hiking opportunities in Zion and Bryce.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

This well-maintained home is a perfect place to get away from it all. It is near the town of Springdale which has many great restaurants and shops and is located at the south entrance to Zion National Park. In addition, Bryce Canyon National Park is just a two-hour drive. While these parks are beautiful places to hike, the views from this home are incredible and the nearby area is fun to explore. A one-mile hike takes you to the Ghost Town of Grafton. The caretaker goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable. We highly recommend this home for a week-long stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

This vacation home is absolutely incredible. While only a few miles from Springdale and the park entrance, the home is incredibly private and secluded. We found the outdoor hammock and hot tub to be the perfect place to relax after a long day hiking in Zion. The views from the home are fantastic and the interior is in excellent condition. We can't wait to schedule our next vacation at the Grant-Gulch house!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.
