  I rented this property in September for a “girls only get-away” and it was perfect for my group in every way. It was exactly as it appeared online in the photos, except it was really much better (!!), as the photos can NOT convey the easy living and total comfort this home offers in every room! We knew we loved it immediately upon arrival, (and by the end of the week we could not bear to say good-bye to our tropical retreat!) Every room is tastefully decorated with lovely furnishings, VERY comfortable beds – (the mattresses in every room were amazing!) and everything was sparkling clean and fresh - especially the kitchen, which was spotless! The 3 generous-sized and quiet bedrooms each have a private full bath, which was wonderful for our group. Everything you might need for the total week of relaxation is included: private, gated, beach access across the street, (which we enjoyed immensely and it made us feel like we belonged to an exclusive club), not to mention the beautiful water-access (w/dock) back yard and pool area, which is beautifully landscaped with huge, lush, tropical trees – totally private! It was so nice, my group hardly wanted to leave the back yard, but we did finally, and then found out that the location of this house is actually the “hidden bonus” in this property! NOTHING is far away, and we ended up having some wonderful day trips - a short drive an hour north puts you in the middle of Palm Beach opulence, or that same hour south will take you to some crazy fun in South Beach, Miami! But, if you just want a bit of old Florida without the drive, we found out that Lauderdale-by-the Sea is completely charming and everything you would need or want is right there, including shopping, and some very good and fun beach-side dining! We all loved it so much that we will all be repeat guests! Thank you Lisa, for offering such a perfect property to those of us who need a bit of tropical treasure every now and again. Thanks also for making us all feel so welcome - your hospitality is so very much appreciated! We can't wait to plan our next visit to Villa Mar!

  This property was absolutely perfect for our vacation! We loved everything about Villa Mar except for the week went by too fast!!! When we arrived, we were amazed to see that the house was a true representation of the photos! Villa Mar was very clean and had everything that we needed for our stay! Lisa was a jewel to deal with! Any inquiries we had, she was quick to respond! THANKS LISA! Our vacation was very memorable and we would not hesitate in recommending this property to anyone! We would love to stay here again as it was very relaxing and peaceful!

  We found the villa exactly like the pictures we saw. All of the amenities and extra cleaning were provided. The ambiance and decoration put all of us in the right mood for a relaxing and unforgettable vacation. We had a nice and kind welcome from Lisa and her husband. To every of our questions, Lisa was always there to answer and to help. Her gentleness played an important part in making all of us feel welcomed and at ease, during all of our stay. I highly recommend the villa and the owners, because both have to come together to make an unforgettable stay. Next time, we plan to stay longer. Sophanie

  This house was an amazing place to have a family vacation. The previous review described the house perfectly. The area is also great. It was about a 5 minute drive to a grocery store, Fort Lauderdale Beach not much further away with shopping and restaurants. Family in Miami and a huge, huge outlet mall was about 30 minutes away. My two teenaged girls did not even want to go home to friends, we all wanted to stay. I think that about says it all. We will be back Lisa!

  This vacation home called Villa Mar is fabulous in every way and we loved it. Believe everything you read on the site. The home really is on an island bordering the ICW so relax and watch boats go by just 50-feet away while you lounge in the heated pool or on the chaise lounges or at the patio table under an umbrella. The backyard is an oasis. We didn’t want to leave it except to take the short stroll across A-1-A to the private, gated ocean beach. Inside and out the recently improved and redecorated home has marvelous landscaping and is very private. The home is creatively and tastefully decorated with many unique touches. All the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with private baths. The living room/dining room are large and airy. And we loved the large screened porch/lanai next to the pool with its lovely rattan furniture, seating for ten people. We loved the well appointed and well equipped kitchen with high top table and just outside sits the stainless 3-burner commercial grade infrared BBQ grill. We found whatever we needed. If all of these features are not enough, maybe the hardest for competitors to duplicate is owner Lisa. She is enthusiastic, attentive, reliable, caring and just plain gets things done. She always makes me fell like I am her only client! We rented her ocean front home on Marathon Key called Mar Azul last year in 2010. It is just as fabulous as Villa Mar and Lisa was just like she always is…fantastic.
