Enjoy Manhattan Beach in style...1/2 a block from the beach. Up for rent is a 2BR/1BA upper duplex unit with a large private roof deck. With a 180 degree ocean view, the roof deck has a ton of amenities including a BBQ, propane firepit, flat panel TV with DirecTV, outdoor dining set (seats 6), WiFi, and deck furniture so you can relax in comfort.
Inside you will find two bedrooms, each furnished with a comfy queen size bed. The couch (which does not fold out) and an air mattress are also available to sleep on. The living area has a dining table that seats six. The entertainment center has a 42' plasma TV with DirecTV, stereo, Blu-Ray player, Wii, and Ipod dock. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, microwave, refrigerator and all pots/pans/dishes if you are inclined to cook while on vacation. We have high-speed wireless-N WiFi throughout the house and the deck for your use. Two parking spots, use of the washer/dryer (in the garage), and use of the bikes (3 of them, boogie boards (2), and surfboards (the best surf spot in LA, 'El Porto' is right in front of the house) are also included.
Once you are outside of the home, you are only a 1/2 block from the sand and the bikepath (you can use our bikes if you stay here...3 bikes). You can bike up to Santa Monica or down to Redondo. Best surf in LA right out in front of the house (El Porto). Walk to restaurants, breakfast places, bars, markets (1 block away). Downtown Manhattan Beach with the pier and more restaurant options is a short bike ride/drive away, as is Venice Beach and Santa Monica. The unit is convenient to LAX...a ten minute cab ride away.

We were looking for a place close to the beach for a weeklong trip to LA. This spot had everything we needed. Just about a block and half walk from the beach and great views from the living room and roof top deck. We also enjoyed the access to bikes and boogie boards, washer and dryer and having a parking space as parking in scarce. The unit is simply furnished and decorated and has only one bathroom but had everything we needed. The owners were very nice and easy to work with. I would recommend this and would stay here again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We love this location because you are steps away from the sand and surf (by a nice surfbreak), can chill on the rooftop deck and soak up the sun, walk/bike to nearby cafes/restaurants/bars, and stroll or bike down the Strand. It's convenient to LAX and is a great base from which to explore the LA area.
