  The real estate mantra "location, location, location" certainly applies to this Shorewalk condo unit. This quiet, beautiful complex just south of Cortez Road in Bradenton is equidistant to almost everything one would require when visiting this Gulf Coast community: shopping, cinema, restaurants, stores of every sort, the downtown riverfront, central library, marina, the theatre and proximity to the beaches. The unit is solid, comfortable, clean, well appointed and overlooks a scenic lake. There is ample parking for guests and visitors. When location is essential, one would do well to consider Shorewalk and this Florida vacation lodging.

  We have been coming to Bradenton for 7 years now and have spent the last 4 years staying in this lovely apartment. We are so pleased to have the opportunity to write a review on this apartment, to be able to share with you what a marvellous place it is. The APARTMENT itself is very accurately described on the website, with a well equipped kitchen/living area, two lovely sized bedrooms and even a walk in closet. Whilst admittedly there are only the 2 of us when we stay, it is so spacious that it could happily house a family of 6. Having your very own washer/dryer is also a real bonus - so many places we have stayed have had communal facilities. The FACILITIES at Shorewalk are brilliant too - 2 pools to chose from and a tennis court to name a few. The landscaped gardens make the whole place a very relaxed place with loads of wildlife to watch from the balcony or catch up with on the way to the pool. The LOCATION is so versatile with the fantastic beaches of Anna Maria just a 10 minute drive one way and the Prime Outlets (shopping mall) at Ellenton only 20 minutes the other. The numerous theme parks in Orlando are also a comfortable daily drive (approx 1 ½ hours each way). Bradenton itself is such a friendly place with everything you could wish for. And if you don’t want to drive then there’s always the Cinema, Supermarket and local restaurants to enjoy on foot. So whatever takes your fancy, all is in reach. The OWNERS Caroline & Neil have become dear friends over the years and they are very special people. They are very hands on and nothing is too much trouble. As they live locally too it’s reassuring to know that they are never far away if any problems arise. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this apartment to any one and are so pleased that Caroline & Neil have decided to put in on VRBO so we can show all our friends how marvellous it is. It is the best place to stay and we love it so much we would live here, if we could! – we’ll be back very soon!

  I have been coming to this part of Florida and staying at this apartment for many years with my family. The apartment is great - it is spacious, modern, always spotless and can accommodate a growing family with ease. I first came when my children were very young and now they are in their teens it still meets our needs. The apartment itself is of a very high standard with a large kitchen diner which can seat many excitable children. The lounge area is again light and airy where my children would happily chill out watching the TV before the days activities. There are 2 bathrooms, one en-suite for the grown ups and one for the kids next to the other bedroom. There is a huge walk in closet in the master suite- ideal for storing all your shopping before the trip home. The apartment is tiled throughout which is so practical when you come in from the beach or pool. There is a balcony accessed via sliding doors from the lounge and you overlook the huge grounds of Shorewalk. It is like a little country haven in the middle of Bradenton with a fantastic lake and grounds with ducks that happily waddle up to you. There are 2 large pools on the complex and other gaming activities so you can just chill out while the kids amuse themselves. The other guests are usually a mix of American and English and I have always found it to be a relaxed and friendly environment. From conversations I've had many people come back year after year. The beauty of Shorewalk is that it is so accessible to the local amenities. You can walk to the local supermarket, cinema and restaurants which is great when you want to relax with a few beers in the evening. I would highly recommend this apartment to other families. I have met the owners Neil and Caroline and they are extremely friendly, accommodating and live locally if you need any help. Over the years they have given us great tips on places to go which has been invaluable.
