Stay at Watson’s Rose Lake Resort in a modern vacation apartment on the upper level of a historic inn along the White Pine Scenic Byway, 25 miles east of Coeur d’Alene. Three bedrooms and bunk area can accommodate up to eight people. There is an open kitchen stocked with everything you need except for the food. Two bathrooms one tub/shower. There is plenty of parking for your RV or boat.
Rail to trail cyclists will find us conveniently located between Harrison and Kellogg, Idaho, just two miles from the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes and 40 minutes by car from the Route of the Hiawatha. The inn is located at the base of Fourth of July Pass, where backpackers, ATV riders, and Nordic skiers will find a network of trails to explore. But you don’t have to go anywhere to have a great time at this relaxed and informal getaway. Float a boat, water ski, swim, or wet a line in Rose Lake, just steps away from the resort. Fry up your catch on the barbecue grill on the deck and take in the beautiful views of the lake and surrounding forest.
In winter, the Inland Northwest becomes a snow playground. Downhill skiers and boarders can use Watson’s as central base from which to sample the area’s five ski mountains: Silver Mountain, Lookout Pass, Schweitzer, Mount Spokane and 49 Degrees North. Nordic skiers can experience miles of trails just up the hill on Fourth of July Pass.
Also available is a complete “Rustic Bar” that can accommodate up to 50 persons (must be 21) along with bartender in your own private setting. (May not be available on certain days depending on season). The bar and lounge closes at 9:45pm sharp when guests are staying overnight.
There are also two small rustic cabins. Please contact us for information on these separate units.

The property was very nice, clean, and peaceful. The best part was John. He was a sweetheart, and was so accommodating. We would go back in a heartbeat, and recommend a stay here.Recommended for: Adventure seekers.

I just wanted to add my comments to John's letter that I left in the room. John has created a wonderful setting for a stay. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated and everything is provided for the guests' convenience. The apartment is set atop a bar but we were never disturbed by music or patrons. John even offered to close early for our convenience but that we unnecessary, especially over a holiday weekend. Trust the photos. It truly is gorgeous with spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains. We would certainly stay there again if the situation arises.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We had a wonderful stay at Rose Lake Resort (Watson's Resort). The rooms were clean and decorated very nicely. We were there 8 days and had no problems with the property. John (owner) was considerate and always helpful. Everything was as described on the website. The rooms are above a bar but we never had a problem with noise or patrons. We are happy to find a great place to stay when visiting family in Idaho until we can move back home. We'll definitely stay there again if it is available.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Two of us rented one of the cabins. Small and rustic but very clean and comfortable. Trail of the Coeur D'Alene is about 2 miles South of the property. An easy ride to get too. Amazing riding and views. Paved. Perfect. Idaho has some of the best cycling in North America. Host was excellent, very service oriented and accommodating.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers.

The resort is off the highway in a quiet location with lovely views of Rose Lake. The rooms, bath and kitchen are spotlessly clean and maintained. The rustic tavern is a throw back to the past and a great place to relax and have a drink. John, the owner, tends bar and is friendly and welcoming. We loved our stay.... highly recommended.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

Cheryl and I found this hidden oasis a few weeks ago, despite having lived in the area for more than 30 years. The manager of the Rose Lake Resort, John, went above and beyond all our expectations! Gave us 1st class service, the accomodations were were very quaint...our room was quiet with a great view of the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our time together out on the porch swing / hammock....was all that we could ask for and more. Joh, was so helpful and fun to talk to.....go us a canoe for our boating fun down on Rose Lake, and made sure that our stay was pleasant. He checked in with us multiple times to ensure we were happy, and that his resort was exceeding our expectations. I can't say enough good about John, his staff, the people we met, and just the atmosphere of the Watson's Rose Lake Resort. If you haven't been here, and want a nice quite place to call home, get away from the busy-ness, with plenty of night life down in the bar / pool room, give John a call.....you won't be disappointed!!! Glad we found this place!!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We chose Watson's Rose Lake Resort for its central location for bicycling the Trail of the Coeur D 'Alenes, and we were very pleased. Two couples spent three nights in the upstairs lodge - it can accommodate a third couple, and maybe some children if everyone likes getting cozy. What a location! Quiet, beautiful surroundings with the lake nearby, and owner John made us feel welcome and comfortable. We definately want to return, perhaps at a different time of year to appreciate the changing seasons. As cyclists, we easily rode the 2.5 miles from the resort to the Bull Run trail head. In our two days of riding, we basically rode the entire Trail of CA'D. Wow! Rose Lake Resort is the perfect setting for such a cycling adventure. Or hiking, or canoeing, or maybe just getting away.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.
