My hunting partners and I spent two weeks here during the 2011 hunting season.The accomodations were perfect. The facilities were very clean and top notch with everything we needed right at hand. The rooms were spacious and meticulously kept making our stay very relaxing and the owner (John) went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. His hospitality is world class and the resort is in an ideal location for any outdoor activity. The locals were absolutely awesome and worked very hard to offer great ideas for places to hunt. Don't hesitate to stay here and enjoy all of the beauties this area has to offer

Wonderful bike trip to Harrison and back on paved trail following CdA River. Quick dips in river to cool down and drink in the vistas. Morning runs down Doyle Rd, eating blueberries on the way and finishing up with a swim in the lake - Too Cool! Day trips to Silverwood, returning for a cold one and roasted marshmallows around the fire pit with the kids - What a way to go! We'll be back.

We are 2 bicyclists just looking for a quiete place to with a nice lake setting. John gave us a canoe at a very affordable price to paddle the length of Rose Lake and back. We found the cabin accomodation at Watson's Rose lake Resort exactly what we needed when the Rose Lake family cabin was overflowing with relatives. The cabin was clean, great condition, well stocked and the proprietor extremely friendly and accomodating. Bathroom was clean and bright! We'd stay here again (and probably will next summer) in a heart beat.

Wonderful, quiet, and scenic

What a wonderful little getaway we had at Rose Lake! The place was ver clean, and nicely updated with beautiful bedrooms and a huge bathroom. John, the owner, was so kind and accommodating in every way - letting us use his canoe, towing it to the lake, and putting out a sleeping pad for my 3-year old. There is a nice yard area with a fire pit, a BBQ (supplied with charcoal for us) and a recreation area where we played bachi ball. The location is a bit away from Coeur d'Alene, but only about 20 minutes away, so just far enough to be secluded, but still close enough to run into "the city" for activities, if you want. Even though we had initially planned on going into the city every day for touristy things, the location was so nice, we actually ended up just staying at the lake most of the time as our kids had a great time fishing and swimming. I admit, we were worried about noise since the resort is over top of a bar, but it was very quiet and the place closes down ant 9:45 p.m. anyway. The bartender was super nice too - even let us use his pizza oven! The place is well supplied with towels and even a washer and dryer. There is also an extensive DVD collection and players in every room, which was handy for my 3 year old. Everything at the Rose Lake resort was wonderful - we are already thinking of returning next year, for a bit of a longer stay if we can. I would recommend this place to anyone!

We stayed in June and were very happy with our choice. John is personable, friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The listing was accurate, and reflected exactly what we got. Everything was clean and John helped with any questions we had. I would highly recommend this setting for a quiet getaway with very reasonable access to CDA. We plan on coming back! (Our kids loved the lake)

Rose Lake lodge review

My wife and I stayed at the Rose Lake resort while riding the Trail of the Coeure D'Alenes. Although the resort is several miles off the trail it still makes a perfect mid-point stayover for anyone riding the entire 72 mile trail. Our stay at the resort was wonderful. John, the owner, was extremely accommodating and a great host. Do not be deceived by the older plain looking exterior. The inside has been beautifully remodeled and furnished. We would highly recommend the resort to anyone, especially someone riding the trail, provided they are comfortable with riding several miles from the trail over roads with some traffic.

We had the very,, very best weekend at Rose Lake. We relaxed, went for a walk in the beautiful outdoors. We made new acquaintances and friends. We played pool, went to Kellogg and rode the Gondola. It was so relaxing and everyone is so nice. The owner,John, is wonderful. He has beautiful rooms with big comfy beds. There is a small cafe nearby, and you are just about 20 miles from Kellogg. We are going back soon. I have recommended this beautiful get-a-way to many friends. Several have gone and had a wonderful time. We are going back when the snow flies. I can hardly wait. Thanks for such a wonderful time!

John - We had such a great trip and are just getting back to normal around here. I have too many photos to email them all, Your place is great John, the cabins are so cute and the upstairs is very well set up. For our families, the distance from Harrison to Kellogg would have been too far to cycle in one day - possibly manageable, but still far. So Rose Lake was a great stop for us. I hope you get more bike visitors.

Thanks John for the wonderful hospitality you afforded us back in May. What an incredible place you have there....you made us feel like one of the family. We loved the bar downstairs, the bartender was a great mixologist, and kept the atmosphere very pleasant with his selections of music on your great sound system. The Hi-def sports on sattellite kept me in the loop in the sports world, and the sound made it seem we like we were there, with all the flat screens you have around the bar you can always see whats happening. The views of Rose Lake and the surrounding mountains were awesome, and the ATV'ing in local mountains was great. See you again next year... R. Walker Long Beach, Calif.
