  When I see all five star reviews in sites like this, I expect the house to be five stars! Maybe I'm just a "hotel snob" who usually rents 4-5 star hotel rooms and not houses, but I wouldn't even give this place four stars! When we first walked in, we were amazed at all the space. However, there was this misty smell and we could not figure out where it was coming from. We went in the kitchen where the smell was pretty strong! There was an old looking sponge left in the sink that was damp and we found the culprit. It stunk up the whole house. Whatever, we threw it away. Then, we wet into the living room. There is a rug under the coffee table. It was FILTHY!! As we're all the carpets in the house. Then we all heckled out the bedrooms to see who was staying where. The beds and quilts were old and dingy. Not as clean as the looked in the pictures. The mattress pads were disgusting! There were all sorts of stains On there. I threw away our sheets that we brought from home before we left. The walls were stained in little areas with what looked like squished bugs and in the bathroom that wa attached to our room, there was a blood stain on the shower curtain. The hardwood floors were filthy, the garbage can (although this may not seem like a big deal to some) was completely filthy. Supposedly there is a housekeeper. In hope he finds a new one because she's a terrible housekeeper!! Even after getting rid of that nasty sponge, the house still smelled. We told Leroy before coming to make sure there was propane in the tank so we can bbq. What he failed to tell us was that it was up to us to fill the propane tank. When we asked him why he didn't tell us, his response was he didn't feel like getting into it. He was then nice enough to come and go into hi garage to give us a filled tank. He apparently stays not too far away from te house on the weekends. During the week he lives in another state. He then tried to charge us $75 for a broken curtain rod. We have a picture of our kids standing in front if that curtain right before we walked out the door to come home. It as still fully intact. He said he would give us a full refund on our deposit. He wound up keeping $25 of our money and called it a "processing fee". This was no where in the contract! If you want five star, do not stay here. The house needs a thorough cleaning, all of the holes patched and some fresh paint on the walls! Find another home!!

  What can I say about this home that was not already stated. It's a very lovely home. The layout was good, as it offered our family 4 full bedrooms, an office converted to a bedroom/den and a loft area, with plenty of bathrooms to spare! During our stay we ran into a few issues, and the homeowner assisted us as best as possible, and although our vacation was cut a day short due to heating problems with the home, Leroy, not only apologized for the inconvenience it caused us, but offered us a discounted weekend to compensate for our problems. The home was clean and well maintained. The only complaint would be is that all of the bathrooms did not have carpets in front of the showers, making the floors a bit slippery when stepping out of the shower. That could create a safety hazard. Overall, everything was great and can't wait to visit this home again!!! Thanks Leroy!

  This is such a beautiful house and the homeowner was so kind throughout the process! Our church fellowship really enjoyed spending time there! It's a great get away and I would highly recommend this place! We also especially loved the kitchen. We really enjoyed cooking and using the two high-tech ovens!

  Our church choir consisting of 13 people had a retreat there, which is an annual event for us. We have been doing this for more than 7 years, but no other properties were superior than this. Very spacious, clean, fully equipped with kitchen appliances and entertainments. Christmas has been come yet, but it is decorated beautifully with Christmas decorations, such trees and lights. I am pretty sure that our group will visit this property again next year.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

  I rented this property for a whole week. I brought my staff and individuals we serve who have disabilities. We had the best time ever. The house is georgeous. It is just like the pictures. Breathtaking! It's peaceful and quiet. Everyone was asking to go back before we even left. We definitely plan to return. It's spacious and has everything you need. just bring your food and fun. The property and house was clean and well maintained. I was able to reach the owner for little things if needed. He even called to see if we arrived safely. I have already recommended this property to my co-workes, family and friends. Plenty to see and do. Danita from Connecticut

  My family, which consisted if 13 people, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. Everything was perfect. The home was very clean and had enough space for everyone. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. The home was located in a quiet country setting, yet very close to just about anything you would want to do in the Poconos. I would definetely recommend the home to anyone, and will be coming back in the future. The owner was very nice, and our deposit was returned 24 hours after checking out.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  This house was just what my family needed. It was very spacious and comfortable, i just wish it had more tv's. The area was so peaceful and secluded from everything Im used to such as traffic, loud music, and loud neighbors. My family loved every bit of our weekend here and none of us wanted to leave.

  First let me say the home is just as it is in the picture. Let me start off by saying that I was double booked for my first choice weekend....Although I had to pick an alternate weekend which was difficult since our plans had already been made the owner did compensate me for the time. Plenty of room (we were 9 adults, a toddler and an infant) but not enough seating.....Dinning room table has only 6 chairs, the kitchen has a pub table with 4 pub height seats which cannot be used at the dinning room table...so we couldn't all sit at the table to eat. There were no extra folding chairs in the home. Many things that are described to be in the house were not so...It states 5 bedrooms..it only has four but also has an office type room with a futon and the upper floor loft also has a futon to sleep on. There is no Hot Tub....(When I asked about it I was told that there is none but there is a jetted bath tub in the master suite (which there is...but that's not the same) I asked the owner to take it out of the description...but it's still there. The electric fireplace was not working (when I called the owner he said it was broken from the last renter but he would send a man to fix it) by that time I had a house full of people and I didn't want a repairman there. This should have been done prior to out arrival. The cleanliness was not what I expected although not dirty..again when I questioned it the owner sent the cleaning lady over at 7pm at nite...again I had a house full of people so I turned her away. The x-box gaming system that is said to have a limited library had no games at all. The stereo and surround sound system was not working and we couldn't figure out how to make it work. The cable service is very basic with very few channels (not much to watch)...No DVD player in the family room so we used the x-box system...All in all we had a fun time because we made it so but for the money that I spent for the weekend the amenities that were supposed to be available to us and the reason why we chose this house were not available. That is unacceptable...Maybe the care taker of the house should inspect things a little more closely after each renter leaves. When e-mailing the owner after our weekend away and telling him my concerns he said there was nothing he could do but did offer some compensation if I chose to return...Which I will not.

  House was really nice when we pulled up! Some of the things on the inside of the house were falling apart but was not really that much of a problem. There was plenty of room for us and we had 10 people. It is perfect location because is 5 minutes away from Camelback Mountain. I would definitely recommend this rental to another person, overall had a great time here!

  We had a perfect Christmas celebration at this home. It is even more beautiful then shows in the pictures. Each room is warm and comfortable. We had a constant stream of friends and family over during our stay and everyone had the same reaction...breathtaking! The owner was a pleasure to deal with and the house was fully equipped with everything that we could possibly need.It was easily accessiblke to many attractions and stores as well as very good restaurants.We especially liked The Smugglers Cove restaurant on Route 611. We have begun a new family tradition and plan to repeat it every year. Thank you again for sharing your home with us.
